Flamingos are beautiful and fascinating animals. No wonder they are omnipresent – on clothes, fabrics or accessories. These two adorable flamingos bring joy into my kitchen everyday. I hope they will make you happy, too!

These beautiful potholders are knitted in the Double Knitting Technique. Thus, they have two good looking sides and they protect you from the heat.

Techniques used:

  • double knitting in rows
  • invisible cast on and bind off (you will find links to free video tutorials for these methods in the pattern)

You will get two separate pdf documents:

  • general instructions on how to knit the potholders
  • knitting chart

skills level: advanced

With a gauge 22 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4“ x 4“), size of the finished potholder is approx. 22 cm x 22 cm

Please note: If you have a different gauge, the size of the finished product will be different, too.

  • Schachenmayr Catania (125 m / 50 gr), about 50-55 gr each in two different colours (hyazinth and vintage in the shown example); about 3 gr in stone (dark grey)
  • 2.5 mm (US 1 ½ ) circular needle
  • additional circular needle 2.5 mm (US 1 ½) or 2.0 mm (US 0)
  • crochet hook 3 mm
  • darning needle
  • scissors

    Es erfordert einige Übung, aber ich habe es geliebt, die Topflappen zu stricken.. Ich werde sie auch nochmal stricken, ich liebe sie einfach.

    Super Anleitung
    Die Anleitung ist sehr verständlich beschrieben und es hat ein übersichtliches Schema für das Strickmotiv dabei. Damit konnte ich die Topflappen ganz einfach nachstricken. Ich werde sie bestimmt nochmal machen und verschenken.
