Potholders ‘Star Chef’ – A Double Face Knitting Instruction

Product description

Whether for the star chef in the family or for the season of stars in your own kitchen, these potholders are always well received. Made in gold and white, they are an elegant decoration for any kitchen and a nice compliment for the chef.
Actually, I can also imagine the potholders in a colour that matches your bathroom as washcloths.
These instructions describe how to knit a practical potholder set consisting of two matching potholders that will be a real eye-catcher in any kitchen.
The potholders are knitted using the double face technique. You can find a free basic pattern on the double face technique in my store at: https://www.crazypatterns.net/en/items/97086/double-face-knitting-a-tutorial.

What you get:
You get a 12-page instruction with a row-by-row description of both potholders supported with pictures. The instructions also include a clear counting pattern for both potholders. You can find a basic tutorial in double face knitting here: https://www.crazypatterns.net/en/items/97086/double-face-knitting-a-tutorial

Difficulty level:
Easy
If you can follow the exercises from my free basic double face knitting pattern (https://www.crazypatterns.net/en/items/97086/double-face-knitting-a-tutorial), you can knit this potholder.

Size Information

Knitted in double face: 26 stitches = 10 cm wide. 36 rules = 10 cm high.
With this stitch sample the potholder will measure approx. 21.5 cm x approx. 21.5 cm.

Materials List

• Schachenmayr Catania, 100% cotton, 50g = approx. 125m.
100g each in white and 100g in gold. I used a total of 60g per color (i.e. 30g per color per potholder). However, the amount needed may vary a little depending on your personal knitting style. You can also use a different cotton with a similar yardage.
• Knitting needles no. 2
• Crochet hook no. 3
• Sewing needle
• Scissors

Topflappen "Sternenkoch", doubleface gestrickt

    Herzliche Grüsse,
    Eline von CreaEline
