Double knitting pattern potholders "Rose Love"

These lovely potholders are a wonderful present – for Mother’s Day, for a wedding, for an anniversary or simply to say “I love you”. Due to the double knitting the potholders have two “front” sides. If you use finer yarn you can also make a soft washcloth or dishcloth. You could use the pattern also for a pillowcase, or for a sweater, or… I’m looking forward to your ideas!

For the motif "LOVE" are two different versions included:

• classic double knitting – the letters will appear mirrored on one side
• advanced double knitting – the letters will appear corrrectly on both sides

With a gauge 25 stitches x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm, size of the finished potholder is approx. 22 cm x 22 cm

• Schachenmayr Catania 100 % cotton, 125 m / 50 gr, approx. 70 gr colour 1 (in the example white), approx. 35 gr each of colour 2 (in the example pink) and colour 3 (in the example lilac)
• 2,5 mm (US 1 or 2) circular knitting needle
• Additional circular knitting needle 2,5 mm (or 3 mm)
• Crochet hook 3 mm
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
