Dear users, dear authors,
we’ve already had the topic of using up leftover yarn once before, but this topic is requested incredibly often. Patterns in the shop that can be made with leftover yarn are also very popular. So now there’s another thread about leftover yarn, but with a little more flexibility.
Here in this thread, you can each post all your patterns with an image + link that can be made using leftover yarn. It is important, however, that the image is well lit, that the subject in the image is clearly recognizable, and that the image shows _only_ what is described in the pattern or the item to be made that is to be sold.
Please also write why users should buy your pattern in particular. What makes your pattern(s) something truly special?
Please also share tips and tricks for using leftover yarn here.

@Users
here in the thread you can not only discover patterns that are well suited for using up leftover yarn, but also write down all your questions about leftover yarn. Please use the opportunity to address the authors directly here about this topic. Questions about leftover yarn come up again and again, and here we can handle them all in one place.

Have fun

You can crochet many useful and beautiful items from leftover yarn , which make perfect little gifts.
This little crocheted bag with a knitted look , for example, can be made wonderfully from all kinds of leftover yarn. The only important thing is that the thickness of the strands is roughly the same.

Or here’s another example: this beautiful crochet necklace . You really only need a few meters of yarn to make it, and you’ll have a lovely accessory for summer or a special evening. Shiny yarn, in particular, really stands out in a crochet necklace or crochet bracelet like this.

This crochet pattern for a bow and a hairband offers a variety of ways to unleash your creativity. These bows are perfect for adding to Christmas gifts or crocheting a stylish bow tie for your loved one. You can use them to embellish a hat, bag, or sweater—even on basic pieces, a bow like this is a real eye-catcher. Little girls love to wear hair clips or hair accessories with bows.

No more cold feet!
These slippers/cabin socks can be made with leftover yarn. They’re also an ideal companion when traveling.

or a beautiful cover for a hot water bottle—called Zauberpulli,
since it’s also conjured up from various leftover sock yarns—enchantingly beautiful and, of course, magically warm.

The loop scarf "Sador" is easy to make in many yarn weights. Even in DK weight, you get a great result. The size can be adjusted individually, as can the yarn consumption.
The loop scarf is also very well suited for using up leftovers and for using different yarn weights. There are no limits to your creativity! The 5-page pattern includes many examples for using different yarns and leftover yarn.

Another great shawl for using up leftovers is "Lorien". “Lórien” is Elvish and means something like “dream.” Dreamily beautiful is this crescent-shaped shawl, too, which is knitted from the top down.
The increases at the sides create the lovely shape, which drapes especially well around the neck. The 5-page pattern contains both charts (knitting charts) and a written-out version.

You can always use little baskets—these ones are finished after just 9 rounds! All you need is a few colorful bits of leftover yarn and a sisal ribbon or sturdy parcel twine. This is carried along while crocheting and gives the basket stability. This popular pattern has already been downloaded and made over 5,000 times—so, do you feel like giving it a try too? Giving a gift from the heart is easy: all you need is half a ball of cotton yarn (25 g Bingo), some stuffing, and a size 3 crochet hook. The heart is quick to crochet and brings lots of joy as a good-luck charm, cheerful decoration, gift tag, or keychain. A crochet chart is included in the pattern. The pattern has consistently received 5-star reviews :-)

These hearts are wonderful to crochet from leftover yarn. In this pattern, I describe two sizes with both text and pictures.
The pattern is free—why not give it a try right away! :)

These owls don’t really need much yarn either. A few meters are enough for the body and the ears. For the wings, a few scraps will do.

Or how about colorful Easter eggs ? Here you can really let your creativity run wild: whether multicolored or solid-colored with embroidered patterns, there are no limits to your imagination.

Tip:
I always tie together leftover yarn that I really can’t make anything else out of and wind it into a ball.

I always use this colorful ball of yarn when I need to crochet sections that won’t be visible in the finished product anyway. That doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s the perfect way to use up those scraps instead of “wasting” “good” yarn.
That’s what I did, for example, with my potted flower . The stem that sits inside the crocheted soil is made from leftover yarn. So is the part of the soil that surrounds the stem.

Of course, everything looks great from the outside.

This way, even the tiniest leftovers of yarn still serve a great purpose, and you don’t have to throw them away. :)

I put my yarn scraps (the short ones) in a mesh container (e.g. a trout roaster) and hang it in the tree... in spring, the birds help themselves to it for nest building :-)

Hi, yes, I do that too—there’s so much leftover yarn. I once had a small Hello Kitty order and didn’t have any stuffing. That’s when I got the idea to stuff it with the leftovers. Ever since then, I’ve been using all my leftovers that way. ÷))
