I stiffen my wind spinners with wood glue

That makes them spin even better :)

Wow, Petra, those look great. I have a few in my closet, too—I can’t hang them up where I live, so I’ll have to give them away someday; but they’re “regular” ones, not the ones with faces. I’ll have to dig them out and take some pictures—but I won’t be able to do that until tomorrow. 🙂
