July Projects: As always with UFO Week from July 23-August 3, Best Leftovers, Yarn Rescue, Tunisian Crochet and all the other popular activities

Great, Marion! I can’t wait to see what your amazing creations look like. You’ve still got a lot planned...

Ruth, I’m also looking forward to seeing your new character. That’s definitely a challenge. But hey, that’s exactly what we love. ;-)

Your children or grandchildren will be especially delighted by these fun door guards. You’re giving them a little privacy, which they’ll gladly accept. These guards are also welcome on the door of a home office or bathroom. ;-)

You can get them here as a value set—the Guardian Bear together with the Guardian Owl.

Easy for beginners with basic skills to make. All the steps are shown to you.

With this value pack—the elf family with the elf house—you can crochet a very special Advent calendar for your child or grandchild. You can fill all the elves and the house with treats or small gifts. Kids always have a use for them. Of course, the elves are also perfect for little gifts in between and for playing. The elf house makes a lovely storage basket—even for yarn and crochet hooks. :-)

It’s a great way to use up leftover yarn—the more colorful, the better. And since the elves are small projects, it’s even fun to crochet them out in the garden right now.

Fashion for Fall and Winter

These leggings grow with your child, fit well, and are super comfortable. So they’re just the thing for toddlers. It’s best to start knitting right away so they’ll be ready by fall. :-)

Suitable for experienced beginners—everything is explained clearly. You can also use sock yarn instead of the yarn specified in the pattern.

With this colorful cardigan, kids will be perfectly dressed for the playground or preschool. It has a hood and pockets—things kids absolutely love. It’s knitted with raglan sleeves starting from the top, so it has almost no seams. Only the pockets need to be sewn on one side.

Recommended for advanced knitters—all steps are shown.

With this super-soft poncho, you’ll be perfectly equipped. Just pull it on—or leave it open at the front as needed. The poncho can also be buttoned.

It is knitted from 200 g of sock yarn. And even if you’re a beginner, you’ll be able to make it with the pattern. You should have basic skills.

Here’s the knitting pattern.

Counting stitches: How many can you do today?

Yeah, I think so too... I don't feel like it today either.
Instead, I'm doing some photo editing on the computer. :-)

Little Helpers Tuesday: Are you working hard?

Sandra, Mel, and Marion, thank you for the congratulations! :-)
The barbecue was delicious, the temperature was very pleasant in the evening, and now we’re going to watch a romantic movie together.

Marion, I’m curious about your new project. Why don’t you post what it is in the July Projects thread:

Colorful and creative

Your child or grandchild will surely be delighted to feed their dolls and teddy bears the same food they eat themselves.

Simply crochet a whole meal for them—a healthy one, of course. ;-)

This pattern shows you how to do it. It includes, for example, toast with butter, vegetable slices, a fried egg, and pasta.

Well-suited for beginners with basic skills.

Colorful and creative

This colorful family of little elves gives you plenty of room for your own creativity. You can design the faces in different ways—and choose the colors, of course. Once they’re finished, you can fill them with colorful candies and give them as gifts. Or you can use them to store small items.

Here’s another idea:
Crochet 24 little elves for your child or grandchild. They’re sure to love them.
On December 24, you can then fill the elf house with the treats and give it as a gift. That way, you’re not just giving the treats, but also the elves and their house as a new toy.

Easy for beginners to follow—basic crochet skills are required.

July Classics: Must-haves.

With this tissue box cover, you can hide your tissue boxes decoratively. It’s very popular as a gift, for example for a new baby’s nursery. Or as a little gift for a coffee get-together, because the box is also an eye-catcher on the coffee table.

Why not crochet a few now as Christmas gifts? It’s especially fun to do in the garden or on the patio. And your leftover yarn can happily be used up in the process.

Perfect for beginners with basic skills.

Little Helpers Tuesday: Are you working hard?

Today is my 26th wedding anniversary with the man of my dreams, so we’ll be grilling vegetables tonight. :-)
My knitting needles are taking a break today and will be back in action tomorrow.
Then I’ll keep working on my new crochet project.

By the way, I’m amazed by my husband. He’s actually not interested in knitting or crocheting at all. ;-) But lately, he’s constantly pointing out things or details on clothes that are crocheted or knitted. He’s even started helping me come up with ideas. Isn’t that sweet?

July Projects: As always with UFO Week from July 23-August 3, Best Leftovers, Yarn Rescue, Tunisian Crochet and all the other popular activities

Thank you, everyone! :-)

Yes, I really got a lot done in July. The baby project is still to come.

I made the tunic in shades of pink because it was actually supposed to be part of the event. Of course, it can be knitted in any color combination—even very colorful, if that’s your thing.

It’s really airy and light.

So—I’ve finally made up my mind. For the color project starting on Friday, I actually wanted to enter a mother-and-child set.

But after giving it some thought, I’ve decided to upload the tunic on its own instead. It won’t be part of the actual color project, though.

Instead, I’ll be entering a 3-piece baby set that goes perfectly with this tunic.

For now, I’ll show you the tunic, which is nice and breezy in the summer and can be worn with a shirt or sweater underneath any time of year. This is one of my July projects. I’ll upload the pattern later in July.

A warm welcome, Nancy. It’s great that you’re joining us now!
You’ll see, it’s so much more fun when we do this together. We motivate each other to really stick with the yarn diet.

I’m so well-stocked that I’ll definitely be able to keep it up for a loooong time starting in September. Unfortunately, I’ll have to “sin” again in August because a visit to the yarn shop is coming up. But then!

All my UFOs are finished. So I’m right on track.
The color projects are in the bag… meaning they’re done. I’ll show them to you by Friday at the latest. And new projects are in my head and on my needles. ;-)

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Love from Monika
