600+: Get started now with a bestseller.

For anyone who dislikes knitting socks, here’s the solution. With the ingeniously simple mowi heel, it’s really easy. The pattern includes a detailed description for 4 different size examples. There’s something for everyone. It is explained using 3 needles, the CraSy Trio, which makes it even easier.

Weekend plans? Happy Mother’s Day :-)

I also wish all mothers and grandmothers a wonderful day with your loved ones. For me, being a mother is one of the most important roles in life, because through it we help shape the future and pass on values of love, compassion, and self-confidence to our children.

To all the mothers in the world: You are sooo precious!

Quick Summer Treats—Vegan

Fruit Dessert Without Cooking

Ingredients:

1 can coconut milk
100 g cashews
1 cup any fruit you like - for example cherries, bananas, peaches, berries, etc.
2 slightly heaping tsp birch sugar - only for tart fruits (also suitable for diabetics)
a little vanilla

Preparation:

Cut half of the fruit into small pieces - these will be stirred in at the end. Blend all the remaining ingredients in a blender for about 1 minute.

Then pour into dessert bowls and pop them in the fridge. After about 4-5 hours, the mixture will be firm and ready to serve.

Variations
(also possible for the chocolate mousse)...

..as ice cream:

Put it in the freezer for about 1 hour and then take it out. The mixture should be firm, but not too hard. You’ll need to try it out for yourself.

... as a cake topping:
For this, bake a cake base in a springform pan, let it cool in the pan, and pour the mixture over it. Put the whole cake pan in the fridge for a few hours until the mixture is firm.

Quick Summer Treats—Vegan

I really enjoy experimenting in the kitchen with different vegan ingredients, and that often results in super delicious dishes and desserts.

Here, I’d like to share one of my recipes with you every now and then—ones you can make quickly and easily. You usually only need a few ingredients. First up is my favorite dessert—in different variations. I haven’t met anyone yet who didn’t like it.

If you have your OWN recipes that fit this theme, feel free to share them here with others.

Today's Walk

Wow, what beautiful photos!
Christina, it’s so beautiful where you live.
Marlene, we’ve even had a squirrel in our garden before.

By the way, alpaca wool is a dream. Just like these animals, it’s wonderfully soft and fluffy. I love them.

Have a great weekend! The weather is turning out wonderfully for Mother’s Day.

A shawl collar like this can be knitted wonderfully at the very last minute. Both models look great and can be worn either as a scarf or as a collar. This way, they complement other tops. A wonderful gift for Mother’s Day!

Easy to knit, even for beginners with some knitting experience.

I’m in—I don’t have any UFOs left and don’t want to create any either.

@Bergli,
I know that feeling well. I’ve also unraveled a lot because I didn’t like it. But I also really enjoy trying out new patterns. And I can only really judge them if I knit or crochet them first. You’re sure to find a beautiful pattern for yourself, even if it takes a little while.

Handcraft Animals + Amigurumi

These little animals are especially useful in times like these, because they hang on the door and guard the room. That way, everyone in the family knows when there’s a bit of radio silence.

Both door guards—both the little bear and the owl—are very easy to crochet. Even leftover yarn is enough for these.

Yes, Ruth, my husband is just as amazed when he sees how all this keeps growing for me. It just happens on the side while I’m watching movies, for example. I get quite a bit done in the evenings that way. And sometimes I sit with our neighbor in the garden or on the patio, and we both knit. I really take advantage of every free moment, and I absolutely love it. I don’t think I could live without my knitting needles anymore. ;-)

I think your scarf is great, too, Claudia.

Sandra, you’re really hard at work—placemats are always a good idea. And since there are only three of you, that works out perfectly.

My next crochet project will be a hot water bottle cover. But right now, I’m still working on my jacket. It’s grown again—I’ve used up almost 4 balls of yarn on it so far.

While listing my yarn usage, I noticed that I actually used over 1,200 g in April. I’m amazed myself—that’s almost as much as in the first three months combined. It really is a good idea to write this down here. And I’m already noticing that I’m making some space, though only slowly. I’d rather not count my stash.... In any case, I’ll easily manage not to buy any yarn until the end of the year.

Final Sprint and Awards Ceremony // April Edition 2020

Stay brave
[ x] I’m not losing courage and am hoping for the best.

UFO King/Queen in April
[x ] In April, I finished one of my UFOs (= an unfinished object = an
unfinished handmade project that may have been waiting to be completed for quite some time), and therefore earned the title UFO King/Queen / WIP King/Queen in April.
The doll’s sleeping bag was finally finished crocheting.

Leftover Best in April: inexpensive and colorful is great
[ x] In April, I used up lots of colorful leftover yarn and have truly earned the title Leftover Best in April.
I knitted two pairs of socks from leftover yarn.
Also, a hat was made from the leftovers from the children’s jacket, and it will be given as a gift too.

Yarn Diet 2020 / Yarn Emperor/Empress / Inner Sloth Conqueror in April 2020
[ x] I would like to have the truly desirable honorary title Inner Sloth Conqueror, because short/quick yarn diets in between are simply not enough. My goal is to make it through (at least) a whole year without buying yarn.
I haven’t bought any yarn since December 2019

Sock Queen / Sock King in April
[ x] In April, I worked on new socks and possibly also finished at least one pair.
I knitted two pairs of socks for myself—from leftover yarn (photos see above)

Busy Little Helper in April
[x ] In April, I was able to get done / finish / complete many of my handmade projects.

  • Hat for my little granddaughter
  • 2 pairs of socks for myself
  • 1 top for myself
  • 1 bunny for my granddaughter
  • 1 crocheted sleeping bag for the doll

[ x] I was also very busy offline / in everyday life in April.
I planted strawberries and lettuce on the balcony and also made many jars of wild garlic pesto.

Forum King/Queen in April
[ x] In April, I created (possibly even many) posts in the Crazypatterns forum, or created at least one post.
[x ] I participated in the birthday threads / congratulated users and authors.
[ x] I took part in the Crazypatterns handmade group and had fun with it. = The respective monthly project threads.

[x ] I developed further as an author in April.
I designed new crochet and knitting patterns for current and later projects.

[x ] In April, I used the advertising threads / other CP advertising options.
--> Write down details here if you would like to share them.

Wallflower Rescuer in April
[x ] I finally made / finished my oldest pattern (purchased or also downloaded
for free) and am therefore a deserving Wallflower Rescuer.
That’s how the bunny for my granddaughter came about.

Rescuer of the unruly yarn / unruly material
(this used to be called Stepchild Yarn Rescuer // Stepchild Material Rescuer)
[ x] In April, I used up old or difficult yarn
and am therefore a deserving Yarn Rescuer
I knitted my summer top from older bouclé yarn that I don’t really love.

Frog Monster Conqueror in April
[x ] In April, I partially or even completely (several times) unraveled an unfinished handmade project / a project, or a UFO or even several, and then successfully finished it after all. I am therefore a Frog Monster Conqueror.
I frogged a large section of the crocheted sleeping bag because I didn’t like the pattern anymore and designed a new one.

Learned something new in April
[ x] In April, I learned something new (e.g., a new technique /
a new type of stitch / a new type of craft, or similar) and am therefore a winner. :- )
Designed new patterns and discovered a new technique for joining seams invisibly. That surprised me, too; it happened by chance.

Gardening Season / Start of the 2020 Gardening Season
[x ] I had pleasant cozy-blanket evenings / had fun crafting in front of the TV.
Details:
x[ ] I used sunny moments (where available) and had lots of fun in the garden / on the balcony, etc.
Details:

Legal Notice Requirements

Hi there,

you don’t need a legal notice here, since the patterns are sold by CP and you just receive the commission. That really takes a lot of the burden off you as the author. You also don’t need to worry about the usual things like data protection. CP handles all of that.

However, it’s definitely a good idea to include a legal notice in your pattern—with your name, address, phone number, and email. That way, customers can easily reach you if they have any questions.

I wish you the best of luck!

Warm regards
Monika

Now it’s official—unfortunately, I won’t be able to finish my UFO because I had to unravel it. Since I love experimenting with patterns and possibilities, I like the new version much better. Here’s what it looks like now. You can clearly see from the length of the doll’s sleeping bag that there’s still a little bit left to go. So I’ll need a few more days. Here’s what it looks like now:

My next project is already buzzing around in my head—I’ve even picked out the yarn for it. With so much yarn in stock, I actually feel like I’m in a store. And since I want to use up my stash, I’m going to make a cardigan for myself next. To be honest, I’m really looking forward to knitting again after a long stretch of crocheting.

Two character dolls (now I know what they’re called) are also waiting for some great outfits. I’ll get started on designing them.
