Dear users, dear authors,
it’s time for the final sprint and awards ceremony.

You can read up on the April projects again in the link.
May projects and April projects Part 2: The Crazypatterns Handicrafts Group (No advertising)

Info about the final sprint / awards ceremony:

Who can join in?
Copy the section in the post directly below between the asterisks into your text field / the reply field, fill it out accordingly, or delete anything that doesn’t apply to you.

When will the awards ceremony take place?
Around May 6/7, 2020. All participants will be entered. Nobody goes offline without a title.

I’m “only” a user here, not a Crazypatterns author; can I still join in?
All users and all authors can join in. Just write a post here in the final sprint thread, and you’ll be part of the April awards ceremony.

April title awards: Everyone receives at least one honorary title.
If someone had many challenges offline / in everyday life in April, that can also be recognized, at the request of the respective user / author, with a suitable honorary title or even with extra bonus points. If necessary, I’ll invent a title.

Earn extra points / bonus points and improve your own karma: Here’s how it’s done.
- For uploaded photos / pictures (only your own), there are extra
bonus karma points as always. Please do not upload third-party images / images that don’t belong to you / images from somewhere on the internet. These will be deleted.
- Finished handmade items that are given to dear people as gifts or donated will, of course, always earn you extra karma points / bonus points, to properly recognize the time / effort / energy required for them.
--> Please provide the relevant details here in this thread.
- Feedback for the Crazypatterns authors (e.g., in the form of reviews, comments, etc.) is always rewarded with extra points.
--> Please write down details if applicable.

Stay brave even during the coronavirus pandemic: Become a Perseverance King/Queen
[ ] I am and will stay brave, meet the current requirements (disinfecting, washing hands, keeping my distance, staying home, wearing masks, etc. ), do not lose courage, and hope for the best.

UFO King/Queen in April / WIP King/Queen
[ ] In April I finished one of my UFOs (= an unfinished object = an
unfinished handmade project that may have been waiting to be finished for quite a while ) or one of my WIPs (work in progress = a handmade project in progress, a project that had been worked on for a longer time ), and therefore earned the title UFO King/Queen / WIP King/Queen in April.

There are bonus points for a truly large number of UFOs.

therefore deservedly Yarn Empress. But the diet is over now; I will buy yarn in the month of April.
--> Please state the total period of the yarn diet.
[ ] I would like to have the truly desirable honorary title Inner-Pig-Dog Conqueror, because short/quick yarn diets now and then simply are not enough. My goal is to hold out for (at least ) a whole year without buying yarn.
Please state the total period.
[ ] I am working toward the title Super Yarn-Mountain Conqueror = This is a long + very thorough yarn diet that continues after the honorary title
Inner-Pig-Dog Conqueror ( = a whole year without buying yarn ).
--> As far as I know, no one is currently working toward Yarn-Mountain Conqueror, but I’ll leave this here as motivation for shorter yarn diets. :- )

[x ] I finally made / finished my oldest pattern (purchased or also downloaded
for free) and am therefore a deserving Wallflower Rescuer.
That’s how the bunny for my granddaughter came about.

Rescuer of the unruly yarn / unruly material
(this used to be called Stepchild Yarn Rescuer // Stepchild Material Rescuer)
[ x] In April, I used up old or difficult yarn

Staying brave even during the COVID-19 pandemic: Become the King/Queen of Perseverance
[ X ] I am and will remain brave, follow the current guidelines (disinfecting, washing hands, keeping my distance, staying home, wearing masks, etc.), won’t lose courage, and hope for the best.

Shopping Queen / King in April
This title is for everyone who enjoys buying yarn. Your own photos of the yarn are always great too.
[ X ] In April, I only bought yarn / materials that I really urgently needed, e.g. to finish a current project.
Details:

I actually bought yarn online for the first time - but from the same place where I normally shop “in person” too. This yarn cake with a glitter thread moved in with me and has already been used up.

Hard-Working Little Helper in April
[ X ] In April, I managed to get / finish / complete many of my handmade projects.
Details:

My sister fell in love with my keyhole scarf - and of course she’s getting one of her own from me now. It was made from the new yarn cake, by the way.

[ X ] I was also very busy offline / in everyday life during April.
Write the details here if you’d like to share them:

I’ve been working on DIY cosmetics and experimenting with shampoo bars. During hay fever season, I’m especially sensitive to irritants and therefore want to avoid everything I can. It’s a really exciting topic for me right now.

Außerdem have also renovated our living room (almost completely...) - and we’re still waiting for a few rolls of wallpaper for the last wall. At the DIY store, they told us delivery would take 3 days; that was 2 weeks ago now.

Forum King/Queen in April
[ X ] I took part in the Crazypatterns craft group and enjoyed it. = The respective monthly project threads.

This month, I actually wasn’t all that active here very often.

Gardening Season / Start of the 2020 Gardening Season
[ x ] I made the most of sunny moments (if there were any) and had lots of fun on the balcony etc.
Details:
A lot of plants made it through the last winter here, and some are already blooming. I didn’t have to buy a single new plant, and I even grew a few cuttings to give away.
We’ve already made plenty of use of this extra “summer room.”

I’ve gone through the list once.
Who’s still missing?

Congratulations to everyone here in the thread on your honorary titles and for persevering so bravely, even during these difficult times. I wish you all an at least equally successful May and, of course, good health at all times.
