Today's Walk

This afternoon, my husband and I went for a walk in beautiful weather.
We were just a few towns away when, to our surprise, we saw these funny little animals.  

Great, Marion—I think those are alpacas. Thanks for the lovely photos. We’re planning to head to Lake Chiemsee soon to get a taste of the (inland) lake air.

Today’s walk took us to the nature reserve near us.

I think they’re alpacas, too, Marion.

We saw a total of 7 squirrels on our walk today.

You’re right, they’re alpacas—I already knew that.

But I didn’t know there were any around here. They’re so cute and fluffy—I just wanted to show them to you.

Marlene , squirrels are so cute, too, and it’s wonderful that you saw so many right away.

Marlene, we’ve even had a squirrel in our garden before.

By the way, alpaca wool is a dream. Just like these animals, it’s wonderfully soft and fluffy. I love them.

We used to often have squirrels in our garden too, but now you hardly ever see one—unless, for example, you take a walk along the Squirrel Trail in Arosa. But here in the lowlands, they’ve unfortunately become rare.
I also like alpacas, as well as their relatives, llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos (though I can’t always tell them apart…).
