incl. arm/leg warmers completes the outfit.
The cuffs can be
crocheted or knitted with or without a thumb hole (cuff length is variable) and can be worn both as a "sleeve extension" with the soul warmer/shrug and as hand warmers/wrist warmers or fashionably over a shoe/boot. Here, too: no increases or decreases required.
The crocheted stitch pattern looks very similar to the knitted stitch pattern.
The
PDF pattern is extensively
illustrated on 23 pages and contains both the
crochet pattern and the
knitting pattern for the soul warmer and the arm/leg warmers.
The
stitches used are explained with photos.
General crochet or knitting knowledge is therefore sufficient.
Basically,
any yarn you like can be used. However, the amount of yarn can vary greatly depending on the yarn choice and needle size. Details are provided in the pattern.
My yarn usage when using an alpaca yarn, 50 g – 100 m, according to the ball band for needle size 3 – 4, but used here: crochet hook size 8.0
- for the soul warmer approx. 500 g in the crochet version (approx. 800 g in the knitted version with needles size 6.0),
- for the cuffs approx. 100 g in both versions
Hope you have lots of fun making it and a real feel-good feeling with the finished piece.

This jacket is feather-light and therefore ideal for travel:
Cardigan/knitted jacket Gita - sizes 36 to 42 One Size

A
knitted lightweight for all seasons – whether worn over or under – simple and with an eye-catching collar area. Both patterns used are absolutely easy (knit and purl stitches only). The collar design requires a little care. Unlike the
“Margit” model, the sleeves are knitted with a sleeve cap. The length is variable.
The
illustrated pattern with stitch- and row-by-row instructions is based on a gauge of approx. 14.5 sts = approx. 10 cm with knitting needles size 6.0. Due to the relaxed shape and stretchiness of the jacket, one stitch more or less is not too important. So it’s no problem if 14 or 15 sts = approx. 10 cm. If the gauge differs more significantly, please choose a larger or smaller knitting needle size. The pattern does not include a knitting course, but does include relevant link tips.
We need
225 g KidSilk by Austermann, color 40 emerald, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk, details according to the ball band: needles 3 – 4, 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, hand wash, 25 g – 225 m yardage;
Alternative yarns: e.g. Kid-Seta (Schulana) or Kid Mohair or KidSilk (Adriafil) – the same quantity in each case for the total back length knitted here of approx. 71 cm. This material is knitted with two strands held together.
Note: Mohair yarns are extremely difficult to unravel - confident knitting is required here. As an alternative to KidSilk/KidSeta, you can also use yarns such as Creative Melange chunky (Rico), if the ball bands show a gauge of approx. 14 sts = approx. 10 cm with needles size 6.0. In that case, knit with a single strand and calculate approx. 100 g more yarn (due to the jacket length and collar) than recommended on the ball band.
Used here: knitting needle size 6.0, pins, measuring tape, yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors, stitch marker, row counter if desired.
Difficulty level: medium

And here is my favorite short jacket for the transitional season and cooler summer days:
Striped cotton short-sleeve cardigan

Stripes are totally on trend. With a top underneath this comfortable-to-wear
cotton short-sleeve jacket, you’ll be wonderfully dressed both at work and in your free time. And if it’s cooler, a thin turtleneck can also be worn underneath.
The PDF pattern is illustrated on 23 pages.
These
knitting skills are needed:
casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knitting stitches together, yarn over, emphasized decreases, and increases from the strand between stitches (explained with photos).
Difficulty level: medium
We need
approx. 450 g total for
sizes S to L of Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl), 100% mercerized cotton, ball band details: 50 g – 125 m yardage, needle size 2.5 – 3.5, 26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm with the following color distribution:
- Blue 100 g
- White 100 g
- Dark green 150 g
- Light green 100 g
Depending on the size, more or fewer yarn leftovers will remain from each skein. These can then be used, for example, for egg cozies and other items.
Used here: knitting needle size 3.5, 3 stitch holders and 1 cable to put stitches on hold, stitch marker and row counter (not absolutely necessary), pins for blocking, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.
Of course,
another yarn with similar yardage, gauge, and needle size can also be used. Please compare the ball band details with the details given above.
