Have you guys noticed? It’s the latest trend now, because apparently it’s really relaxing.
And here in the shop, I’ve already found a cut file with a picture to color—just the one with the elf logo; I didn’t check to see if there are more in the shop. I’m not really the type to color pictures.
I actually always thought that the love for coloring books goes away with your baby teeth, but you never stop learning.
I mean, I’m sure you can sell and buy these really well here on CP, too. And if it’s fun and even relaxing, then that’s totally awesome. :)
Ha, you’ll laugh, but I bought a mandala coloring book for the flight. I didn’t end up needing it, but maybe I’ll use it on the flight back.
Here in New Zealand, the trend has really taken off. There are tons of coloring books—Maori motifs, owls, animals in general… even in mini-format for your purse.
I have seven (!) coloring books for adults. But there are also countless templates on Pinterest and places like that. I don’t really think it’s necessary to sell more of them here as well.
The coloring books are available at newsstands, supermarkets, and even online for free to print out. At least the regular mandalas.
I think it would have to be really original for it to be worth it here. But okay.... You never know.
I’ve seen a lot of these booklets, too. Personally, I don’t like them. Either I don’t like the designs or the selection. I think the regular mandalas to color are prettier.
Maybe others feel the same way, and it would be worth creating your own files. If you offer them individually, customers can then put together their own selection of what they like.
This has actually been around for almost two years now... (in brick-and-mortar bookstores, that is)... Right now, a lot of publishers are jumping on the bandwagon...
Personally, I also enjoy coloring and have two books and a poster... And pens that none of my kids are allowed to touch ;)
Even though I like painting and drawing, I can’t really get excited about it.
I once downloaded a free app with great design templates, but in the end, it’s only used by my daughter (10) and her friends.
I always ask myself: Where do you put it once it’s finished?
As a good mother, you do keep the children’s pictures, of course, but I don’t want to spend hours creating something only to throw it away afterwards.
I wouldn’t hang it up in my home, either.
I think my collection of books and yarn already contributes enough to the chaos in the house.

This coloring trend has already caught on here in Norway, too. You won’t believe it, but I’ve already bought some of these adult coloring books—some of them I ordered online.
They have pretty designs—landscapes, animals, flowers (to color with fineliners)—and I also have a paint-by-numbers coloring book (the number corresponding to each color is listed on a color chart), and at the back of the book, there’s a picture showing what the finished artwork looks like.
I’m sure you’re familiar with those pictures where you have to connect the dots. I have one of those, too. I find them very relaxing to do in between other things, when my hands start to hurt from crocheting.
Coloring is really popular right now. I enjoy coloring different pictures. My little daughter and I do it together. I recently discovered a nice collection of coloring pages ***Link removed by Mod***. I especially love the pictures based on cartoons.
