Crochet Pattern Triangle Shawl “Ice Age”

An ideal winter shawl with an absolutely TV-friendly 3D basic pattern. The slightly delicate edging can be extended as much as you like.
As always, you can crochet from a written pattern or work from a crochet chart.
Even ambitious beginners can make this pattern without any problems.

Material usage depends on yarn weight, hook size, and crochet style:
  • Here in the pattern example: 1370 m / 4-ply yarn

Colorful clothing is always on trend, especially for children. This little skirt is very popular and also easy to knit. It fits girls ages 3–4.

In the cooler seasons, people love wearing a scarf. Here, a scarf is wonderfully combined with a collar. This keeps the neck warm even with larger necklines.

The scarf-collar is very easy to knit and is definitely practical. Of course, it also makes a great gift idea.

Something that is definitely always on trend for children is warm leggings—and also knitting with sock yarn. Leggings are needed from fall through spring. This ensures that little ones don’t get cold while playing outside and can move comfortably.

The pattern explains every individual step, and the leggings fit ages 3–5.

The water lily bath sponge / shower sponge is a decorative eye-catcher and, for example paired with a lovely scented shower gel or body lotion, also makes a beautiful and unusual gift.

You can crochet the water lily bath sponge in one color or multiple colors, just the way you like it, and even use up your leftover sponge yarn.

The crochet pattern is for advanced crocheters and includes written crochet instructions as well as a multicolored crochet chart and, of course, photos.

You can get the crochet pattern for the water lily bath sponge/shower sponge here

Brownie Triangle Shawl

Asymmetrical crocheted shawls are absolutely on trend this winter. The Brownie triangle shawl is made from a fine lace yarn. But you can also use thicker yarn. Then you can really snuggle up in it.

Treat-Yourself Shawl Eileen

It's on trend to do something nice for yourself or your loved ones. In these difficult times, crochet yourself the Treat-Yourself Shawl Eileen, which helps with more than just cold temperatures.

Cowls with simple patterns will continue to be on trend.

This model is knitted on circular needles and is easy to recreate thanks to the pattern—knit and purl stitches.

Hopefully, babies will still be trendy next year too :-)

With these crochet appliqués you can decorate bibs, baby jackets, hats, a baby blanket, or a door wreath to give the new arrival a proper welcome. These appliqués are a wonderful way to use up even the tiniest amounts of leftover yarn.

Little babies often suffer from gas. A warmed grain pillow placed on their tummy can help.
If the pillow is tucked inside such a cute little warming monkey, the baby can cuddle it just like a stuffed animal, feel comforted, and quickly forget about their tummy ache.
I crocheted the monkey using plush teddy yarn (but you can also use cotton yarn). For the body, I chose cotton yarn because it is more heat-resistant.

For some gifts, bags are quite practical as packaging; for others, boxes are a more suitable option.

If you’d like to give candy, jewelry, lucky charms, small collectibles, or similar items as Christmas gifts, then this gift box is definitely the right choice.

The box is made of photo cardstock, measures approximately 16 x 5 cm, and is very easy to recreate.

If you’re planning to give gifts to several children at Christmas and need suitable packaging for your presents, then I’d like to recommend this value set to you.

Both gift bags are made from photo cardstock and are approx. 19 x 18 x 10 cm in size. The motifs take a little time, but otherwise the bags are also very easy and quick for beginners to make.

I also have a few more trend recommendations for 2021. Trends don’t always have to be brand-new things, but simply things that have already proven themselves and that you’d happily recommend to your best friend. Here are my ideas for you. For more information, pictures, and the pattern, please simply click on the headings.

I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.

Warm regards from Ina

Knitting patterns

Lace shawl for beginners
A simple pattern that consists of only 2 constantly repeating rows turns into a beautiful lace scarf with diligent knitting. You can wear it open or knotted.

Warm poncho in one size

We knit it as a top-down raglan, so the length is up to you. The increases are made evenly and are tied to the 4 cables, making them easy to remember. The hat is optional.

Ball gown for small dolls

All doll moms will be delighted with this. It looks beautiful in a solid color and in colorful versions, too. You can knit it well from scraps. And the really clever ones knit a few dresses in advance, so you always have a small gift for daughters, granddaughters, or when the girls are invited to a birthday party.

Scarf with pearl edging

Here I combined fine cashmere yarn with small rocaille beads along the edges. It looks very elegant. You can wear the scarf for everyday use with a leather jacket (as on my model) or spread open as a stole with a dress.

Universal cowl for the whole family

You can knit it for yourself, the kids, your husband, or a friend. It looks good in a solid color or with gradient yarn.

One-step felted booties for the whole family
What’s special about them is that they are knitted in one piece. The washing machine takes care of the felting. You can knit them in all sizes and colors.

Wrist warmers with a decorative cable
A very beautiful model, decorated on the top with a striking cable. The insides are knitted in stockinette stitch. The thumb gusset ensures a good fit. We knit with a set of double-pointed needles.

Felted moccasins

This felted shoe model is ideal from spring through fall. You can knit it in all sizes and colors. I always take mine with me, too, whenever I’m invited somewhere, since they fit in any bag.

And because many of you also enjoy crocheting, I’ll share my trend recommendations for 2021 in the area of crochet items, too. Some things will simply stay trendy and popular in the new year as well. I hope you have lots of fun window-shopping and making them yourself.

Best wishes - Ina

Round Rug Kunterbunt

Each rug becomes one of a kind thanks to the colors and color combinations, and a very special eye-catcher in a child’s room or hallway.

Skirt with Flounce and Matching Top
The skirt length is variable; anything from short to long is possible. The skirt and the matching top close at the back with snap fasteners.

Large Round Basket with Bobbles

It looks attractive and is practical, too. I especially like the bobbles and the wide fold-over edge.

Colorful Craft Bucket
Another practical accessory. We crochet an all-around little cover for a standard plastic bucket. There are little pockets all around the sides for our crochet tools. The current project goes into the bucket, so you always have everything together and can move from A to B with it, too.

Ball Gown with Tulle Underskirt for Small Dolls
This is probably the most lavish dress in my shop. Sewing the tulle underneath does make it a little more work, but it also makes it look especially fairy-tale-like. My 5-year-old granddaughter has chosen it as her favorite dress.

Favorite Heart

That will always be and remain a trend. A heart is simply a very special symbol that says what you feel even without words. You can give it to someone dear as a good-luck charm if they are ill, for example, or going on a trip. Or you can crochet it for yourself as a keychain.

Water Lily Cushion

This is an eye-catcher in any child’s room or in the garden. The 3D water lily blossom simply draws every eye. The cushion consists of 2 parts that are buttoned together with crocheted buttons.

Nightdress and Jacket for Small Dolls
The slim dress has a shaped bustier so that it fits well. There is also a matching little jacket. But the outfit can also be worn during the day; it’s much too pretty just for sleeping.

Doorstop “Sandbag”

It has a weighty interior made of 4 kg of small pebbles. That’s why it stays right where it is and keeps any door from slamming shut. Drafts no longer stand a chance.

Mosaic Blanket Made of Squares
Blankets are always on trend. This one is fun even while you’re crocheting it. First we crochet lots of identical colorful squares. Then we crochet them together. Quickly add a border around it, and your individual one-of-a-kind piece is finished.

Doll Clothes “Fresh Summer Fashion”
You can crochet all 6 models that the dolls in the photo are wearing. The colors stay just as bright even after washing. Everything can be wonderfully mixed and matched. If you start now, you’ll be finished right on time for spring/summer. Then the doll mommies can play with them to their hearts’ content.

Cushion Cover “African Flowers”

This is also a trend classic. We crochet lots of different hexagons. Then we crochet them together to make a cushion cover. Each cushion becomes one of a kind because of the colors and color combinations, and it will be an eye-catcher in any child’s room or on the garden bench.

Doll Clothes for Summer
And here’s another pretty, trendy doll clothing model. This time there is a wide, swingy skirt, a top, and a bolero to crochet. Lovely too, isn’t it?

Square Colorful Rug

You can crochet it in any size. The pattern always stays the same. Each rug becomes one of a kind because everyone uses and combines different colors. A lovely crochet project that I really enjoyed making. My grandson got this light blue-green one for in front of his little bed.

Dreamy Princess Dress
Before I came up with the dress with tulle, this one was my 5-year-old granddaughter’s favorite dress. It, too, embodies the idea of a princess. If you want to play princess, the dolls have to be wearing princess dresses too. You can make it in different versions. I like the one with the rocaille bead edging best.

There’s one more little addition ... these simply wanted to be shown too :-)

The Ice Princess’s Coat
What good is the most beautiful dress when it’s winter outside—the doll needs a coat then. And it should look as fairy-tale-like as possible.

Felt Boots with a Turtleneck Cuff
Can be made in all sizes and colors/color combinations. Here, the felt shoe is knitted first and then felted in the washing machine. The turtleneck cuff is knitted separately and then sewn on. If you knit the cuff from real wool, this is the warmest felt shoe in my shop, and it will keep even the biggest cold feet warm.

Turtleneck Sweater for Small Dolls

This will always be trendy, too. This little sweater is knitted as a top-down raglan. The length is variable, so you can knit it as a cropped sweater or a dress.

Wrap Cardigan with Hat
If a baby is expected, this would be a lovely welcome gift for the birth. The wrap cardigan will fit for a while as the baby grows, and the hat can also be worn for a few months.

Even though Carnival isn’t really in style this year, you might have a little fun with this colorful jester’s cap. It’s quick to crochet using a few pieces of leftover yarn and is very versatile:
as a little hat for a doll

as a funny bottle stopper

or as a decoration for a small door wreath.

You’ll find the instructions in the crochet pattern. Click here to go to the crochet pattern!

The Cowl Luftikus
can be worn on both sides and is knitted with just 100 g of yarn with a yardage of 350 m, or, as I did, with a double-stranded lace yarn with 700 m of yardage.
The pattern is absolutely suitable for beginners.
