Arm warmers and wrist warmers are the perfect projects for on the go! They only require 1–2 balls of yarn and therefore fit into almost any handbag! I’d like to introduce you to a few designs from my shop here:

Suggestion No. 1: The WINTER's DREAMS arm warmers are cuddly soft and quick to knit!
2 lace patterns—subtly bobbled—add variety while knitting, and a rib pattern provides the necessary hold. The warmers are described in 2 versions: with and without a thumb opening! And you can work from both the knitting chart and the written pattern instructions; my patterns always include both!
So pack yarn and needles into your handbag, download the knitting pattern HERE, and off you go!

Suggestion No. 2: The LOTUS arm warmers—the arm warmers with two faces!
Both the inside and the outside show an interesting patterning, so you basically get 2 designs in one! The three-dimensional effect of the patterns is exciting and creates “aha!” moments even while you’re knitting!
This design definitely belongs in your carry-on, too—get the knitting pattern for it here: LOTUS Arm Warmers

And suggestion No. 3:
Of course they can’t be missing: The FEATHERS & LINES arm warmers! Delicate, feminine, playful—and not as complicated as they might look! The individual patterns build logically on each other and offer you a truly varied knitting experience—and when worn, they naturally have that WOW effect!
Get the knitting pattern for this spring-ready design now! Here’s the download: FEATHERS & LINES

So, now you’re spoiled for choice—or just treat yourself to all 3—after all, a woman can never have enough arm warmers, right? In any case, I wish you lots of fun knitting. Warmly yours,
Annette

Crochet Pattern
for a Dishcloth – Trivet – Potholder

This pattern consists of a single row that is repeated continuously until the desired height is reached. To follow this pattern, you should be comfortable working single crochet, chain stitches, half double crochet, and double crochet.

I like to give these dishcloths as gifts along with color-coordinated dish towels. They’re also a great way to use up small yarn scraps.

Spiral socks are also great for on the go.

Spiral socks are knitted without a heel and adapt to each foot thanks to the spirals. Spiral socks fit across several sizes and, so to speak, grow with the foot.

With this pattern, the socks can be knitted in sizes 14-18 up to shoe size 46-47.

Little baby shoes are always needed. These ones come from the heart, as you can see, and are very easy to crochet yourself.

The colorful spring meadow makes you look forward to the warmer season. All the pieces are easy to crochet in between other things and easy to take with you. The placemats, together with the matching coasters, are made from one ball of yarn. The egg cozies and scatter decorations are easy to crochet from colorful leftover yarn.

When you’re on the go and just want to keep your hands busy without having to think too much, this Tunisian crocheted origami bag is just right for you!

The Tunisian simple stitch is explained in detail in the pattern; you’ll get the hang of it quickly. Then you simply crochet a rectangle: no color changes, no increases or decreases. At the end, the rectangle is folded origami-style and sewn together. And you’ll have a new bag where you can store the yarn you just bought right away.

You can quickly crochet the cute ladybug egg cozy while you’re out and about on the commuter train. It’s quick and easy, and you only need to have a few small bits of leftover yarn in your purse.

Crochet pattern for a pennant garland

These pennants are very versatile. Add a splash of color to your garden, make them for a newborn with the baby’s name, or, as shown here, use them to welcome the Easter Bunny.

The hearts are also very easy and quick to crochet on the go:

For the approx. 13 x 13 x 6 cm Heart Bath Sponge, you need about 22 grams of sponge yarn; for the approx. 8 x 8 x 3 cm small Heart Wash Pads, about 11 grams of sponge yarn and a 4.5 mm crochet hook.

The hearts are crocheted with single crochet stitches—perfect for beginners and advanced crocheters who want to crochet something very simple and quick in between.

You can find the value set for the Heart Bath Sponge and the Heart Wash Pads here

I commuted to work by train for years and always had a small craft project in my bag for the ride. That way, train delays (almost) never bothered me—I always had something to keep me occupied. Mini craft projects for on the go need to be lightweight and simple in design. Here are my recommendations for you. For more information, pictures, and the pattern, just click on the headings.

I hope you have lots of fun with your “on-the-go projects”—people are sure to strike up a conversation with you about them. At least, that’s always been my experience :-)

Warm regards from Ina

No. 1 – the “Featherlight” loop scarf

--> simply knitted in stockinette stitch in the round; it’s as light as a feather—the finished loop scarf weighs 50 or 75 g

No. 2 – “African Flowers” pillow
--> You can easily crochet the many individual pieces while on the go or in the doctor’s waiting room. Only at the very end are all the pieces crocheted together to form a pillow cover. The pillow has a closure, so the cover is removable.

No. 3 – Mosaic Blanket
--> It’s crocheted from many individual squares, which are perfect for working on while you’re out and about; at the end, all the pieces are crocheted together

This pattern for crocheting around tin cans is a small project (< 50 grams) with a simple pattern (just one row), making it perfect for on the go.

You can never have enough little storage containers to collect all sorts of odds and ends. Or maybe use it as a vase for the first spring blooms?

Get the pattern and turn your yarn scraps into a pretty little gift
