Beach Feeling // Beach Gear

When you go to the beach café for ice cream, it’s often not appreciated if you just sit down at a table in your bikini. A simple solution to this problem is a shawl that you tie around your hips. Of course, you can crochet one yourself!

How about this one?

Beach Feeling // Beach Gear

Of course, you’ll need a bag to carry your stuff to the beach. To match the beach theme, you can even knit the fish right into this bag yourself. What do you think?

Here is the pattern.

"Wallflower" patterns and neglected yarn/materials: How’s it going?

I think “unruly” is a good word. I saw the poll too late. So-called “stepchild yarn” is basically yarn with character. Back when you bought it, you saw something special in it, but then it didn’t really want to reveal that special quality. This yarn simply needs people who are up to the task. So, in my opinion, “unruly” yarn is yarn that requires the craftsperson to possess certain qualities in order to bring out its beauty.

Beginners: More Wonderful June Designs // Potholders and Bookmarks from Leftover Yarn

Potholders are ideal for summer. They’re made of cotton, so you won’t break a sweat while knitting them; they’re small and lightweight, so you won’t break a sweat while knitting them either; and they’re a wonderful way to try out new patterns while using up small amounts of leftover yarn.

The same goes for these — click

Knot in the Yarn

1–2 knots are normal; that just happens in machine production. But if there are more than that, you can certainly complain to the manufacturer.
Be sure to cut it out when working with the yarn. The risk that the knot will come undone later is too high.

A Sunny Weekend

There’s no sign of sunshine, but that doesn’t bother me at all. Yesterday I was in town and treated myself to a few skeins of yarn. Hehe. (At this point, you have to imagine a crazy giggle).
Arni, I hope you feel better soon, too. The best thing is to keep moving as usual—don’t try to avoid it, or it’ll just get worse. And if it’s not better after the weekend, go see a doctor and get a shot!

June Bundle Deals: Colorful and Affordable

The same also applies to this set of hat, scarf, and wrist warmers. They are knitted from sock yarn and all have the same lace pattern, which is explained in detail in a tutorial.

You can find it here.

June Bundle Deals: Colorful and Affordable

Save in the summer, then you'll have it in the winter. Or something like that :-)
If you start knitting in time, you'll have a great set by winter consisting of an infinity scarf and a hat. It is knitted with sock yarn.

This way to the bargain set.

Summer 2018

Off to the beach with the perfect beach bag! There’s plenty of room inside for a towel and suntan lotion. The bag is knitted from cotton in two different colors. The pattern is a simple slip-stitch pattern.

An airy and slightly playful crochet shawl is ideal for balmy summer nights when you want to sit outside for hours on end. It keeps your shoulders warm and looks great. I have just the pattern for you: with a ruffled edge and a lace pattern—a triangular shawl crocheted from sock yarn.

Leftover yarn in white, blue, and red

You don’t need much yarn for potholders or dishcloths either. They’re also fun to make because you can try out new patterns, and they’re very useful.

You can find a simple knitting pattern here.

Leftover yarn in white, blue, and red

You really only need small scraps of cotton yarn for a knitted bracelet like this, in two different colors you like.

This is what it looks like in blue.

Crafting while watching TV: Is that even possible?

Of course—I do it all the time. I like watching discussions where random people weigh in on all kinds of topics. I take a quick look to see what they look like, and then I mostly just listen. It gets trickier when a goal is scored during the World Cup, but then there’s always slow-motion replay afterward :-)
