Things are going really well for me right now :-)
Everyone’s healthy and happy, and we’re doing all sorts of great things—so even a workday feels like the weekend.
Just as summer is starting, the summer weather here in Lower Saxony is taking a break; it’s pure April weather right now. But that doesn’t bother me at all—finally some rain for nature and pleasant temperatures, which makes you appreciate the sunny days even more.
This weekend, as always, it’s off to my favorite Greek restaurant and family day. On Saturday, of course, we’ll watch soccer and lounge on the couch—and my crochet projects are ready to go, too.
We’re on our way back from vacation. Somehow I’ve strained or twisted my back or something. Driving is a nightmare, but I have to do it.
We’ll be home in two hours. Then it’s time to do the laundry… and, as always, watch some soccer, of course. We watch every game we can. On vacation, that was always the 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. games, and that’s what we’ll be doing this weekend, too.
I'm trying to distract myself from stage fright with crocheting. On Sunday there’s a half-hour performance with the "Flotten Sohlen" at an exhibition/trade fair. I can do moderation, but I’d rather be dancing.
On Saturday, of course, it’s time to watch soccer.
There’s no sign of sunshine, but that doesn’t bother me at all. Yesterday I was in town and treated myself to a few skeins of yarn. Hehe. (At this point, you have to imagine a crazy giggle).
Arni, I hope you feel better soon, too. The best thing is to keep moving as usual—don’t try to avoid it, or it’ll just get worse. And if it’s not better after the weekend, go see a doctor and get a shot!
Here, the weather is switching between sunshine and gray clouds. But that’s no surprise—it’s the Danube Island Festival here, and it’s usually rainy and cold then.
Now that I’ve passed my psychology final with an A, I don’t have to study anymore this summer and can focus on my crafts from now on—and, of course, a little housework and whatever else needs doing. But first, I have to untangle the yarn my dog played with last night.
Arni: Get well soon!!!
DievomTeich: Good luck with your presentation!
To everyone: Wishing you all another great weekend!
Thank you so much for your kind wishes. But things have definitely gotten much better. Right now, my husband Anton is carrying a lot of things around, so I can take it easy on my back. Well, and my own bed is the best anyway.
:-)
Sofi’s World: Congratulations on your Matura! Enjoy your study-free summer to the fullest!
Arni: Get well soon, and DievomDeich: Good luck!
My daughters organized a guided tour of a wool carding mill nearby for my birthday celebration — very interesting! Even though there was beautiful hand-dyed wool in the shop, I managed to resist, but now I know where I can stock up on a little luxury if needed!
Sofi’s World: Congratulations on passing your school-leaving exams.
Thanks for your well-wishes. The dancing went well, but everything around it was chaos. First, the start was delayed a lot, there was no one there who knew how to operate the sound system, and the chairwoman was nowhere to be seen. I could have saved myself the emcee’s script, too. They ended up saying something completely different. Nah, that only makes it partly fun.
Now I’m going to get right to crocheting. Five dancing mice and an elephant are waiting for me.
