Thanks for asking—I’m doing well. I was crocheting until 2:30 a.m. last night because I really wanted to finish something. ^^
Now I’m blocking it, then I’ll start on Part 2 and write the pattern as I go. ☺
Christmas is over, now the New Year is coming, and the firecrackers have been going off here for days. I have no idea where people get them from every time. The noise really gets on my nerves, and I feel so sorry for the animals that have to suffer through it....
I’m doing fine overall—I have plenty of time for crocheting and other crafts right now. (I just don’t have any ideas on what to start yet!!) And tonight our new sofa and dining table are arriving :)
Unfortunately, though, my dear great-grandmother passed away on Christmas Day (the 25th) at the age of 97.
While that’s not very surprising at that age, it still makes me very sad, and the mood in the family is very somber...
I’m doing well, too. Christmas is over, and now I have some visits planned with friends. The ski season has finally started, too. So I’m out and about a lot.
I do my crocheting in the evenings. I’ve got a lot on my plate and plenty of orders again, but right now I’m finishing up the loop scarf for a coworker.
I’m doing well after a totally relaxing Christmas.
Now I’m making the final preparations for my vacation—I'm leaving on Saturday, as always, for my second home.
Unfortunately, I still have no idea what craft project to take with me.
My deepest condolences, @Tina.
97 years is certainly a remarkable age, but it still hurts and leaves a void that can never be filled...
I wish you much strength in the days ahead.
Dear Tina, my deepest condolences as well. I wish you lots of strength.
I also have a 91-year-old grandma (my favorite grandma—she’s a gem). Of course, I hope she’ll stay with us a little while longer. She’s still relatively spry for her age and walks without a cane. That’s what I’m afraid of, too—that big void.
I got through Christmas just fine—I had time off, and my sweetheart and I really
made ourselves comfortable. We ate and snacked a lot, watched fairy tale movies, and even found time to crochet.
Now I’m crocheting something for myself again. It feels good.
My condolences, Tina—may she remain a part of your life in your memories.
I’m doing okay so far, but I don’t have much time right now since things are crazy at my main job and I come home exhausted from work.
On the one hand, I’m working on the pattern for the color challenge. On the other hand, I recently dug out my loom again because I got such great inspiration for using my hand-spun wool. It’s going pretty well—I spent the holidays weaving.
I like to do something different every now and then; it clears my head and sparks my creativity.
Take care!
Warm regards
Caro
Dear Tina, my condolences on the loss of your great-grandmother.
It always hurts when someone we love passes away.
I’m doing well, too, and I’m busy getting ready for January. I have a few ideas I want to bring to life. Also, I haven’t bought any more yarn and am diligently working through my stash. I don’t have any UFOs either—just projects I’m working on simultaneously. ;-)
I’m also looking forward to spring, which is kind of right around the corner… despite the snow. It’s not that far away anymore.
