Well, I would’ve thought that baby items would spark more interest among readers. I mean, baby items are always in demand, so I figured we could explore this topic further here in the forum—including any trends in that area, if there are any. But since I’m not really familiar with it, I just wanted to ask what you all think. Apparently, though, it’s not really your thing.
I don’t quite understand that, though, because there are so many cute baby items in the shop. Thanks anyway for the replies here in the thread. It’s nice that you’re reading my post and saying something nice about it. : )
What about kids’ clothing, by the way—are there the same trends as with adult clothing, or is it more influenced by movie characters and the like? Are those tunics for kids still in style, worn over leggings or something like that? I think I remember noticing a few of them in the shop while I was browsing—I wasn’t actually there specifically for kids’ clothes.
Maybe there’s a lot you could sew for the summer? That would fit right in with the thread on sewing projects for beginners that I started there last week. ;)
But little dresses like that, for example—they should actually be pretty easy to sew, right? I mean simple little dresses, not anything too complicated.
Crocheted and knitted items aren’t really a hit in the summer, unless you use lighter yarn. But I’m not sure if, say, lace yarn is the right choice for kids? You don’t want them to get caught on something while playing or anything like that. From what I’ve gathered, lace yarn is pretty delicate, right?
Is it still the case that baby and kids’ clothes are strictly divided into pink for girls and blue for boys, or are there some overlaps or even neutral colors? Is there still a gender divide when it comes to designs? Or are yellow or green considered neutral colors?
Cute stuff for girls and pirates for boys? I mean, that’s cute, but maybe the girl would actually prefer a pirate and the boy would prefer a kitten? Well, we won’t be solving that problem today. ; ) I just think kids should be the ones to choose, or at least we should let them choose, instead of forcing them into the typical “girls” or “boys” mold. But I’m pretty sure there are other opinions on this, and it doesn’t really have anything to do with clothing anyway.
