Have a nice weekend / a nice vacation / Lazybones Day 2026 on Monday

Dear community,

I wish you all a pleasant weekend and a pleasant vacation, if you have one. If there’s no vacation, maybe you can move Lazybones Day 2026, which is actually celebrated on Monday, to the weekend and simply do nothing for a change. How does that sound?

The heat is still bearable today, so it’ll be another beer garden evening with lots of lovely people. Tomorrow I’ll be lazy and do nothing (except crochet and eat); next week it’ll be very hot again, and I have a few annoying appointments. I’ll just power through—the next weekend is sure to come!

The weekend, finally. We visited some friends; this morning the weather was still great. Now, in the late afternoon, we’re back home—it’s 32° outside—phew.

Well, then—quickly changed the sheets, took a shower—and from now on, it’s time to lounge around. ;-) And we’ve been drinking plenty—water, tea, sparkling water, etc. And the laundry’s already dry again, barely a moment after we hung it up (on the balcony).

After we helped my niece wallpaper her kitchen yesterday, I really needed to take care of our household chores today—luckily, it’s not quite as warm right now.

We’re meeting up with friends for dinner in a bit, and we don’t have anything planned for tomorrow.
Let’s see what we feel like doing then… definitely nothing that requires using our arms.

They’re really aching right now. 😂

How’s Lazybones Day / the weekend going?

I had a real lazy day: got up, had breakfast, sat down, and read. Then I heated up lunch—there were still leftovers from Sunday—then sat back down, read, and took a little afternoon nap; after my afternoon coffee, I went to the computer—so I really just lazed around. Wow, what a day ;-) And now I’m going to keep knitting my raglan veeeery slowly—though I’m not sure yet whether it’ll be a sweater or a summer cardigan. :-)
