Crocheted Bandana

Hi everyone! Lately, I’ve been seeing the same little thing practically everywhere I turn: the crocheted bandana. It’s a triangular headscarf that you tie in the front, usually in beige, cream, or a vanilla shade—boho to the max. On Instagram, every other person is wearing one, and you can whip one up in just an afternoon.

On the one hand, I’m totally drawn to it because it’s the perfect project for using up leftover yarn—one ball of cotton is enough, there’s almost no counting involved, and you immediately have something presentable to show off (and let’s be honest, I just need that every now and then in between those never-ending big projects). On the other hand, I wonder if a headscarf like this even suits me, or if I’ll feel like I’m in costume and then… exactly, “nice photo, never wearing it again.”

Has anyone here crocheted this yet and actually dared to wear it out, or does it just end up as decor above the mirror? Best wishes.

I haven’t come across these things yet, but if they keep your hair from flying around and are airy… though I can hardly imagine that… I’ll just Google it real quick. 

Okay, some of these pieces are pretty well made, but it really has a “Little House on the Prairie” vibe. 

I don’t like it on my head. 

I guess I’m just an old woman. 🧕👵

I think it looks pretty cute on a lot of other people, but I don’t really like it for myself. First of all, it doesn’t suit my style, and second, I generally don’t like having anything on my head.
