At these temperatures, I can’t stand wool of any kind, not even with lots of holes in it.
The only thing that works is a pair of knee-length jersey pants I sewed myself.
🧶🥵🔥
Best wishes,
Anja
It depends on what it is. I once sewed myself some extra loose little dresses specifically so I could wear as little as possible when it’s hot, but still be able to open the door for a delivery person without shocking them.
Best regards

Years ago, I sewed myself some summer pants out of lightweight cotton fabric and a few T-shirts out of thin, lightweight jersey. I wear them all interchangeably, depending on my mood, and in different combinations. Everything is very comfortable to wear in this kind of heat.
Best, Martina
I was actually talking more about wool. I have so many tops—too hot in the summer, too cold during other seasons.
And jersey and I ARE NOT FRIENDS when it comes to sewing. 😤
But I DO love wearing it the most. 🥰
I do wear hand-knitted or crocheted sweaters even in the summer—but not in this kind of “scorching” heat we’re having right now. They’re comfortable on cool summer days or even in early fall. Right now, I’m only wearing airy clothes. ;-) —It’s 31° right now.<\/p>
I don’t have any knitted sweaters or shirts, because I don’t even wear sweaters in winter—I’d sweat just as much then as I do now in this crazy heat
But I have a closet full of blouses and summer pants that I love to wear because they’re all tailored to my asymmetrical body
Best regards, Inge
