Dear Community,
What do you do with fabric scraps from your favorite fabrics—the ones you really love—that you don’t want to use for just anything, but for something special?
It really depends on the size of the scrap. I sometimes use the last little scraps to make Easter eggs to hang up.

I sewed a curtain for a small window in the shower using the very last scraps of my husband’s favorite fabric. I’d already cut out another fabric, but he really wanted this one.
I think it was worth it.
Best regards, Sabine

I have a big basket for all kinds of fabric scraps—for me, that’s mostly cotton or cotton jersey.
I use the cotton scraps to sew little fun items: balloon covers for my grandchildren, patchwork quilts for the doll’s bed, or lavender sachets.

From the cotton jersey, which is stretchy, I sew little doll clothes or hair ties.

Best regards, Ina
Ina, everything looks absolutely perfect. Just wonderful.
Best regards, Sabine
Thank you, dear Sabine, for your kind words. I’m so glad you like my creations.
I also really like the shower curtain you sewed. Your husband was right to insist on that fabric. The cheerful, leaping deer go well with the red-and-white checkered fabric, and that, in turn, matches the wood in the decor perfectly.
Best regards, Ina
Thanks, Ina—I’m now a big fan of the curtain, too.
Best regards, Sabine
