Small pouches are wonderfully suitable for wrapping small gifts. These here are knitted from sock yarn and are very easy to make. You should be able to knit in the round, and knit and purl stitches. This is also a very good way to use up small leftovers of sock yarn.

You can find the pattern here.

This little bag can also be used in a similar way. It has knitted-in hearts—but it’s not quite suitable for beginners. It’s also a wonderful way to use up leftover sock yarn.

The pattern can be found here.

What do you give a newlywed couple who already have everything? Money? That’s so impersonal! Not if it’s packaged so lovingly and creatively! The crocheted bride and groom are each worked around the plastic capsule from a surprise egg. You can then tuck the money inside. They’re quick to crochet using some leftover yarn.

By the way, if any men who crochet are reading this: it’s also an original idea for a marriage proposal! You can hide the engagement ring inside. Come on, guys, go for it!

This gift bag is perfect for all kinds of small gifts, such as CDs, bag charms, cosmetics, jewelry, and more. Depending on the occasion, you can change the colors—for example, you can make it as Christmas gift wrapping in red and green with a gold bow.

The small bag, measuring approximately 15 x 17 x 6 cm, is made from cardstock, is very easy to make, and is well-suited even for crafting beginners.

Crochet Pattern Gift Bag

The gift bag is great for many occasions. A small cash gift can be wrapped up nicely. It can be attached to a larger gift, perhaps with a few nice little sweets.

If you make 23 more bags, you can also create a great Advent calendar.

The bag is super quick to make.

In this PDF file, I have described every step in detail over 5 pages and illustrated it with 12 pictures.

It is also well suited for beginners.

Material
  • Crochet hook 2.5
  • a little yarn, approx. 15 g
  • beads for decoration

Knitting pattern
Socks made from 6-ply yarn - tutorial with charts for all sizes

How about a "savings stocking"? - especially now in these times of low interest rates, when you even pay negative interest on store credit. Otherwise, young and old alike will be delighted with cash gifts packaged this way.

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Socks made from 6-ply sock yarn are a bit thicker – and therefore warmer, too – and above all quicker to knit than socks made from 4-ply yarn. They are usually preferred as house and bed socks, hut slippers, or also for hiking in mountain boots. Men love socks like these in work shoes.

This is basically a sock-knitting tutorial, shown in detail with pictures using children's socks in size 32/33.

All other sizes can be knitted according to the corresponding chart information for 6-ply sock yarn .

Included in the download :

  • PDF sock knitting pattern - illustrated step by step (22 pages)
  • Baby sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn for newborns up to shoe size 20
  • Sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn, children's socks up to adult shoe size 47
We need
1 ball = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m) up to shoe size 44; 200 g – 250 g from size 45 of a 6-ply sock yarn, here the especially soft Christmas yarn color 02 “Mally Socks – Lungauer Sockenwolle” by Ferner Wolle was used, 75% merino, 25% polyamide; gauge approx. 22 sts x 31 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; set of double-pointed needles 3.5; row counter is helpful; tape measure, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Note:
For 4-ply sock yarns, there is a separate sock-knitting tutorial with corresponding charts here in my shop at https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/5603/sockenstrick-lehrgang-fuer-4-faediges-garn-alle-groessen-fuer-baby-kinder-damen-herrensocken
