A wonderful shawl is my "Graduation Ball Triangle Shawl".

You can crochet it either with a thin summer yarn (shown here: Tahiti by Schachenmayr) or with a cozy winter yarn (Schachenmayr Ombre Lace 600 m /100 g) .

The pattern repeat consists of two rows and is easy to work. The shawl is started at the tip, and we crochet until the yarn is used up.

You should know how to crochet single crochet, double crochet, and chain stitches; then it’s a lovely project for the evening.

How about a large knitted shawl?

If you start now, you’ll really enjoy this stole when the cold season begins.

This shawl is large enough to wrap yourself up completely in it. Why not give it as a gift for a new baby? When it’s cold and you want to breastfeed the baby at night, you’ll be all wrapped up and warm in it. I explain the pattern repeat row by row in written instructions, and there’s also a knitting chart created in Excel.

Click here for the knitting pattern for my cozy shawl.

I'd like to show you a scarf with an intricate cable pattern.

The pattern is here.

It's actually a very ordinary ribbed scarf, knitted from wool with a yardage of 300 m per 100 g—if it weren't for the slip-stitch cables that travel from one side to the other and back again within the ribbing. Personally, I find this type of cable very easy to knit; you don't even need a cable needle for it. But of course, you can use one if you like.

Knitted from very bulky yarn, this fluffy scarf is finished very quickly.

Here is the pattern.

My original is made from a wool-alpaca blend (130 m per 100 g), but of course you can use other yarns too. The amount needed depends on the desired length.
The scarf has a simple lace pattern with seed stitch in between. Not difficult, but varied to knit.

This scarf has a beautiful, very delicate pattern.

You can find the pattern here.

It is knitted with sock yarn, with the amount needed depending on the length. Alternating lace and cable patterns give it a playful look.

Crochet Pattern: Poncho with Möbius Scarf Collar (Loop) – Quick and Easy

(Click the image to purchase/download )

Crocheted in a flash and with ease...

With this crochet technique, you can decide how big you want the poncho to be as you go—just stop crocheting when you’re happy with it.

The poncho (600 g) and Möbius scarf (100 g) are made with thick gradient yarn (100 g – 100 m) and a size 8.0 crochet hook. Other yarns are perfectly fine; what’s important are the specified starting measurements. The principle remains the same.

The PDF pattern includes instructions for both the poncho and the Möbius scarf and is illustrated , but it is not a crochet course in itself.

You’ll need the following crochet skills :
chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rows, and crocheting in rounds.

By the way: with a Möbius scarf, the pattern you create is mirrored—that is, one horizontal half appears as the right outer side, while the other half appears as the left inner side of the pattern. This creates sophisticated effects depending on how the scarf is draped and how the pattern falls.

Crochet Beanie 'Tabata' &
Moebius scarf collar/loop (m/f)

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This crochet set (m/f) in fashionable gray consists of a beanie and a Moebius scarf collar/loop.

The PDF pattern is written for head circumferences from 52 cm to 60 cm and includes both – hat and loop (loop in one size).

It is illustrated, but requires general crochet knowledge (chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, crocheting in rounds, slip stitches, increases and decreases). The special stitches are illustrated and described. Difficulty level: intermediate.

For the hat, 150 g is required, and for the loop, 100 g of a yarn with a yardage of 50 g – 75 m. Unlike the hook size on the yarn label, this pattern uses crochet hook sizes 8.0 and 10.0.

Crochet Pattern Triangular Shawl for Any Yarn

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

For this triangular shawl for all seasons, you can basically use any yarn you like – the thinner, the more elegant. Size: any.

Skill level: easy to intermediate - no crochet chart - no gauge required

For the size made here, approx. 70 cm x 162 cm, I used 350 g Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50 g – 120 m, needle size according to the label 3 – 4, here crochet hook 4.0. I decided not to block the shawl, as then the curves of the shell pattern stand out better –  but that’s a matter of taste.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet (explained).

The PDF pattern is illustrated over 15 pages, but it is not a crochet course. Link/video tip for a crochet course and more is included.

The PDF includes

  • in the first part, a detailed pattern with corresponding photos,
  • in the second part, a shorter version also with photos, and
  • last but not least, a scarf/shawl variation in short form.

A little “jazz-it-up” piece:
Crochet pattern Möbius Collar 1-2-3-4

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This collar wonderfully jazzes up sweaters and shirts.

It is crocheted from approx. 60 g of a merino yarn with 50 g – 160 m yardage and hook size 3 – 4 mm (here with a 3.5 mm crochet hook) and, for experienced crocheters, can be finished quickly in one afternoon. Beginners should allow themselves a little more crochet time. Other yarns or leftovers with a suitable hook size can also be used. In my opinion, however, the pattern shows up better in finer yarns.

The Möbius technique in crochet is considerably easier than in knitting.

For the illustrated PDF pattern basic crochet skills are sufficient (chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch). Link tips for learning to crochet are included.

Crochet pattern for the VERSPIELT scarf/cowl and headband in a simple shell pattern

The scarf can also be sewn together and worn as a cowl (wrapped twice around the neck), basically in any season . Add the matching headband, and you have a pretty (gift) set.

Yarn alternative: e.g. Merino Extrafine 120 by Schachenmayr.

Yarn requirements / finished measurements:

  • 150 g for the scarf/cowl: approx. 14 cm x 140 cm – length variable
  • 50 g for the headband - size variable
The 8-page PDF pattern is illustrated, but requires the following basic crochet skills:
chain stitches, double crochet, single crochet, crocheting in rows. A link explaining the basic skills is included in the PDF.

3 Techniques - Knitted Möbius Scarf, Collar, Headband

(For purchase/download, please click the image)

Here the basic principle and three cast-on techniques for knitting Möbius scarves/loops are presented. Try them out and choose your favorite method :-)

The PDF pattern is detailed and illustrated and includes 2 patterns.

Model 1 – Colorful - is a Möbius loop/scarf with a circumference of approx. 90 cm and a height of approx. 20 cm, which can be worn beautifully in different variations as a shoulder warmer and neck warmer (see image). For this we only need 1 ball of Woolly Hugs Bandy, here color no. 7, 100 g – 210 m, 100% cotton, gauge according to the ball band: 14 sts x 20 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; size 6.0 circular knitting needle with a cable length of 1 m; stitch marker; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends. If needed, a small leftover of a slightly thinner, color-matching yarn (e.g. Record 210 – potholder yarn, here in green) and crochet hook 4.5.

Model II – Möbius Collar in Milk White fits wonderfully around the neck like a turtleneck, but can also be worn as a headband. This model makes a wonderful gift and can be knitted in just a few hours. For this we only need 1 ball of merino yarn, 50 g – 85 m, e.g. Merino 85 by Austermann or Schachenmayr, 100% merino, according to the ball band for needle size 6 – 7 and a gauge of 16 sts x 22 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm. Used here: circular knitting needle 6.0, cable length 80 cm to 100 cm; stitch marker; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Both models are worked in a simple reversible rib pattern.

These knitting skills are required:
casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knitting in the round, knit stitches together, purl stitches together, yarn over, bind off. A basic knitting course is not included, but link tips are.

By the way: there is also a calculation aid - Excel spreadsheet for Möbius scarf calculation (click me) for this.

This reversible loop scarf is quick to knit in one weekend. Finished measurements: approx. 156 cm circumference x 32 cm (rolls up). But you can also pull it apart and wear it as a shoulder warmer.

Wearable in every season, it can be worn 1 x / 2 x or 3 x around the neck and matches the "Violetta" hat and "Violetta" bag.

Required
  • Knitting skills: cast-on, knit stitches, knitting in the round with circular knitting needles
  • Crochet skills: chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches (needed for the final but crucial round)
The PDF pattern includes pictures. Difficulty level: fairly easy.

Material
:
100 g Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Austermann), 100% cotton, 50 g – 125 m for needle size 2.5 – 3.5, used here: circular knitting needle size 8.0 (because yarn is held double) with an 80 cm cable length, gauge according to the ball band: 26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm [Note: yarn that snags, such as mohair, is not suitable for this], stitch marker, yarn needle for weaving in ends, measuring tape, scissors, crochet hook 6.0

Möbius Crochet Loop for Everyone—Quick and Easy

(Click the image to purchase/download )

A wonderfully light and quick-to-crochet scarf/loop that can also be worn as a shoulder warmer or hood scarf—crocheted using the Möbius technique. The Möbius technique in crocheting is really very simple (illustrated). You crochet from the horizontal center, which creates sophisticated pattern effects.

This Möbius loop, with a circumference of approx. 90 cm and a height of approx. 25 cm, can be worn in all the variations shown, for both men and women. It’s also easy for children to make (using thinner yarn is recommended if necessary). And best of all: with the type and weight of yarn used here (see below) and this size, no gauge (it doesn’t matter down to the centimeter) is required.

The detailed illustrated PDF pattern includes instructions and tips for using other
yarns of your choice as well as for other sizes.

These crochet skills are sufficient:
chain stitches, single crochet. Everything else, including slip stitches, is explained. The PDF includes (video) links to resources for beginners learning to crochet.

Materials for the model shown: approx. 300 g merino yarn, 50 g – 45 m (e.g., MyBoshi No. 3), size 6.0 crochet hook; measuring tape, scissors, a yarn needle for weaving in ends, and stitch markers.
The ribbed pattern requires about 50 g more yarn than is usual for simple plain patterns. The crochet hook size should match the yarn being used.

By the way: this Möbius loop goes well with the Crochet Hat for Everyone – very easy (click here)

Beautiful colors + simple pattern + great cut = a snood you simply must have!

This loop scarf in a tartan look has a sophisticated effect, yet is so easy to make that it is also suitable for beginners !

The circumference is about 80 cm, and the height is approx. 50 cm.
However, the included cut and the gauge make it possible to adjust the size individually.

You will also find a chart of the color scheme as well as a detailed description in the pattern.
In addition, detailed photo documentation helps guide you through the knitting process.
The tartan technique is also described and illustrated in detail.

And here is the pattern and more details...

This scarf collar is simple and clever at the same time!

buttonholes. It can be folded and buttoned in different ways. The different ways to wear it will make you want to try new combinations with your everyday wardrobe again and again.

  • 1 circular knitting needle, size 9
  • For the crocheted buttonhole row: 1 crochet hook, size 6 or 7
  • 1 large decorative button
In the 10-page step-by-step pattern, I show you exactly how the scarf collar is knitted. The buttonhole row is crocheted using single crochet stitches and chain stitches.

Stylish, modern, casual, and not too thick: This set consists of a relaxed slouchy hat and a matching scarf that can also be made as a loop. The hat and loop are light and soft. Thanks to the high-quality, fine yarn made from cuddly-soft baby alpaca, it has hardly any weight (hat = 115 g) and doesn’t sit too heavily on your head
and can also be quickly stowed away in your handbag. Thanks to the baby alpaca
it still keeps you nice and warm.

The knitting pattern is very well suited for beginners because everything is explained and shown exactly step by step.

Materials for the set:
  • 300 g of cuddly-soft baby alpaca (I reveal my source to you in the pattern)
  • for the hat: circular knitting needles or a set of double-pointed needles in sizes 3 and 4 and
  • for the scarf, size 6 - and
  • stitch markers or small rings that can be used to mark stitches.
I hope you enjoy the project and wearing it.

Warm regards from "Ina strickt"

Soft, colorful, a little romantic, and quick and easy to crochet! With or without a crocheted rose: Loop JORDIS stands out above all for its pretty fan stitch pattern and the yarn with its beautiful color gradients. Here, a gradient yarn was crocheted together with a solid-colored fluffy yarn so the overall effect doesn’t become too colorful. If you prefer something very subtle: The loop scarf also looks fantastic with solid-colored yarns of the same weight! It can be worked from either the crochet chart or the written instructions for all rounds, and there is a photo tutorial for the knitted rose.

Difficulty level: easy, also suitable for practiced beginners

Required crochet skills: chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rounds

Material:
  • 2 skeins (= 100 g) Mille Colori Baby *(100% virgin wool, yardage 190 m/50 g) in Pastel (color no. 0052) and
  • 2 skeins (= 50 g) Lusso (36% extra-fine merino wool, 27% silk, 19% baby camel, 18% mohair, yardage 180 m/25 g) in Light Beige (color no. 0023), both yarns by LANG YARNS. Or alternatively: any other yarn with short color gradients and a similar yardage (= 190 m/50 g), as well as a fluffy yarn (e.g. mohair yarn) with a similar yardage (= 180 m/25 g).
  • Crochet hooks: No. 5 and No. 6.

Here’s the crochet pattern: Crochet Loop JORDIS

Have fun crocheting,
Annette

This knitted scarf is designed for cool fall days. It’s made from sock yarn, so it’s not extremely warm, but rather better suited to the transitional season. A lovely lace pattern makes it fun to knit.

You can find the pattern here.

This pattern for an infinity scarf comes in several variations. Short or long, knitted in rounds or in rows, with buttons or without buttons—the possibilities are many. The infinity scarf has a simple lace pattern and knits up quickly in bulky yarn.

This pattern works especially well with sock yarns featuring colorful gradients.

The pattern is here.

The scarf is knitted diagonally and has a narrow lace edge on one side. The diagonal shaping really lets colorful yarns shine.

For those who love something a little out of the ordinary, I have a real treat here: a scarf made using the double-knitting technique.

Beginners, stay away—that much I’ll reveal. With double-knitting, there’s no right or wrong side; both sides look equally good. The colors are simply mirrored on the opposite side.
The pattern, shown in several knitting charts, consists of lots of little dots.
