My ITH embroidery file, “Hansi the Budgie,” is very versatile and works for almost any occasion, including Easter. That’s why I’d like to explain ITH embroidery in a bit more detail:
What is ITH?
ITH stands for *In the Hoop*, which simply means *in the hoop*.
For this type of embroidery file, you’ll need an embroidery machine that can read files and has a hoop measuring at least 10x10 cm—or, even better, a 13x18 cm hoop.
Once you’ve purchased an ITH file, you’ll need to load the correct format into your machine. This is usually done using a USB drive (please read the user manual for instructions).
Along with the embroidery file, you’ll receive a PDF pattern. There, you can follow step-by-step instructions on what to do. My patterns also include many pictures that illustrate the process, so they’re highly recommended even for inexperienced embroiderers.

So nothing can go wrong if you follow my instructions in the PDF. This is what it looks like (picture). Just work through each step as described there.
In the end, you’ll have a bird—sorry *laughs*—a feathered friend. Most of the time, you’ll still need to close a turning opening by hand. You can often use a sewing machine for this. You can hang Hansi on a window or on a mobile, use it as decoration in a child’s room, or give it to the little ones as a keychain or bag charm.
I stuffed the little budgies with cotton and catnip and used them like this:

So there are tons of ways to use them.
