Dear users, dear authors,
pretty animals and cute amigurumi are always a great idea. This thread is the place for the very best of them. You can use them to decorate or give them as gifts to bring joy to someone. Let’s get started.

@Authors
please post your patterns for animals and amigurumi here. Don’t forget to include a picture, a link, and text with information about the materials, technique, difficulty level, and what makes the pattern special.

Probably the ideal candidate for this combination of themes is Manni—the cute polar bear in his Christmas elf outfit!
He’s the perfect decoration for the Advent season and then a wonderful Christmas gift for young and old alike! You can even include small gifts or money in his sack.

What you’ll need:

♦ Crochet yarn in your preferred colors (one standard skein per color is enough)

♦ A crochet hook in a size that matches the yarn

♦ Craft stuffing or similar material to fill the bear

♦ Safety eyes (if desired, in your preferred size)

♦ A bell (if desired)

This pattern is suitable for both advanced crocheters and motivated beginners with some amigurumi experience.
You should be familiar with the following: crocheting in the round, crocheting in rows, chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, triple crochet, color changes, decreases, and increases.

When the well-known German illustrator Anna Karin Birkenstock asked me whether I could turn her children’s book heroes Lille and Löwe into knitting patterns, I was immediately full of enthusiasm. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to give the books as gifts and include the cuddly toys too?

Lille and Löwe are available in a bundle here: click!

or individually here:  Lille  or  Löwe

Lennard is a very brave lion who even likes to check under the bed before bedtime :-)
Almost 30 cm tall, and his overalls can be put on and taken off.
The crochet pattern is very detailed and also suitable for (ambitious) beginners ♥
