Dear users, dear authors,
especially as the days get shorter, we look forward to lanterns, Advent wreaths, and tea light holders—because they’re simply part of the season and the holidays, and because they’re so beautiful.
This thread is the place for related patterns.

@Authors
please post patterns on this topic here. Don’t forget to include an image, a link, and some text. Please also include information on the difficulty level, technique, materials, and any special features of the pattern. Have fun!

My store offers several lanterns for the St. Martin's parade. For example, this one:

This approx. 21 cm diameter lantern is made of cardstock and tracing paper. It consists of 18 identical basic shapes and the lantern base. This lantern is also available in a value packwith a larger one:

You can find even more St. Martin's lanterns in my lantern collection.

Autumnal or Christmasy ... the little forest gnomes by the campfire
create an atmospheric decoration for the cold, wet season.
There is room in the campfire for an LED tealight ♥
Also very manageable for ambitious crochet beginners, thanks to lots of pictures.

Here’s something else to brighten up Christmas: Beautiful star-shaped tea light holders — decorated or plain.

The holders are made from cardstock, measure approximately 14 x 14 x 2 cm, and are suitable for both real tea lights and the corresponding LED tea lights. They’re easy to make, but a bit of precision when cutting, folding, and gluing is absolutely necessary for a beautiful result.

Hello, everyone,

Especially in fall and winter, we need cozy light! It lifts our spirits, and the flickering light makes our home feel cozy. And anyone who does crafts has a few grams of yarn left over. This little free pattern shows you how quickly a lantern can be crocheted. You can make it for indoors or outdoors and decorate your home with it.

I hope you have lots of fun crocheting and enjoying the glow.
Best regards - Yours, "Ina strickt"

I’d also like to share this lantern here:

The lantern is made from cardstock and tracing paper and is about 19 cm in size. It’s very easy to make: to ensure everything works out right the first time, just follow the craft instructions.

Getting a real Christmas tree can involve a lot of stress -
first the carrying, then sawing it to size, and then it may still not stand
straight despite all your efforts.
If you want an alternative, simply crochet yourself a Christmas tree. With baubles, bows, garlands, and a star on the top. And the best part is: it doesn’t shed needles ;-)
Wrapped with a string of lights, it creates a very cozy atmosphere.
Using the original yarn (Catania by Schachenmayr) and a size 3.0 mm crochet hook, the tree will be approx. 25-26 cm tall and have a diameter of approx. 16 cm - so it’s the perfect size for the living room table, windowsill, nightstand, desk, etc............... And you can use it again every year ;-)
What you need to know: chain stitch, single crochet, decreasing and increasing stitches, slip stitch, crocheting into the back loop, crocheting in rounds
I hope you have lots of fun crocheting it and a wonderful Christmas season ;-)

The days are getting shorter, and the Advent season is fast approaching. It’s time to light the candles again.

These crocheted glass holders create a lovely candlelight glow. Placed around the room or on the Advent table, they instantly set the right mood.

For the Advent season, you’ll need some leftover yarn in green, red, and white; for the rest of the year, you’re sure to find something in your scrap bin.

I used Catania by Schachenmayr and Quattro by Lang Yarns for this project.

Natural lights in the home are especially popular during the darker time of year. With the “LIchtzauber” lantern, you can crochet a glass jar cover. All you need is a large empty yogurt jar and thin yarn. The jars are quick to crochet, and the stitches in the middle are open so the candlelight can flicker beautifully.

By the way! The crocheted jar covers are also perfect as Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, or as a small hostess gift when you’re invited somewhere at short notice.

The crochet pattern is written so that it can also be made by beginners. Many pictures document the individual steps.

You can find all further information, such as stitch types, required materials, yarn used, and the pattern here:Crocheted Jar “Lichterzauber”

This lantern is currently very popular:

It’s made from cardstock and tracing paper, has a nice, manageable size of about 29 x 22 x 11 cm, and is therefore easy for a child to carry. The lantern is easy to make: The precise templates allow you to cut the cardstock exactly, and the illustrated craft instructions explain every step.
