Crochet Hat for EVERYONE - very easy
A wonderfully
easy-to-crochet hat for different styles, so
ONE hat model wearable in all the pictured variations, for both men and women. Easy to make for children too, or as a
simple hat for babies (though thinner yarn is recommended).
And the best part: no gauge (it doesn’t depend on the exact cm), no increases or decreases, possible for any desired yarn in all sizes. The
PDF pattern includes pictures.
You need these
crochet skills: chain stitches, single crochet. Everything else and slip stitches are explained. (Video) link tips for learning to crochet for beginners are included in the PDF.
By the way: A matching crochet pattern for an infinity scarf to go with this hat is also available here in my shop:
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/20003/haekel-moebius-loop-schal-fuer-alle-einfach
Material: for the pictured model with a head circumference of 55 cm to 60 cm: approx. 250 g merino yarn, 50 g – 45 m, crochet hook 6.0; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for sewing in ends, possibly a pom-pom.
The rib pattern requires approx. 50 g more yarn than is usually needed for hats. The crochet hook size should match the yarn used in each case.

And how about this:
Cardigan/Jacket Model GITA - Size 36 to 42 OneSize
A
lightweight knitted piece for all seasons – whether worn over or under – simple and with an eye-catching collar area. Both stitch patterns used are absolutely easy (only knit and purl stitches). The collar shaping requires a bit of attention. Unlike the “Margit” model, the sleeves are knitted with a sleeve cap. The length is variable.
The
illustrated pattern with stitch- and row-by-row instructions is based on a gauge of approx. 14.5 sts = approx. 10 cm with knitting needles size 6.0. Because of the relaxed shape and stretchiness of the jacket, one stitch more or less is not very critical. So it’s no problem if 14 or 15 sts = approx. 10 cm. If there are larger gauge deviations, please choose a larger or smaller knitting needle size. The pattern does not include a knitting course, but does include relevant link tips.
We need
225 g KidSilk by Austermann, color 40 Emerald, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk,
information according to the ball band: needles 3 – 4, 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, hand wash, 25 g – 225 m yardage;
Alternative yarns: e.g. Kid-Seta (Schulana) or Kid Mohair or KidSilk (Adriafil) – the same amount in each case for the total back length knitted here of approx. 71 cm. This material is knitted with double
strand.
You can also use yarns such as Creative Melange chunky (Rico), for example, if the ball bands indicate a gauge of approx. 14 sts = approx. 10 cm with needle 6.0. Then knit with a single strand and calculate approx. 100 g more yarn (because of the jacket length and collar) than recommended on the ball band.
Used here: knitting needles size 6.0, pins, measuring tape, yarn needle for sewing in ends, scissors, stitch marker, possibly row counter.

Potholders “So Green, So Green” - Tunisian crochet
Fresh green as kitchen decor or for actual use as a potholder made of 100% cotton – a useful little gift for all kinds of occasions.
Both the
pattern for the potholder and the pattern for the crochet flower(s) are illustrated step by step.
Material for 1 potholder in the standard size 21 cm x 21 cm:
50 g light green + 50 g dark green crochet yarn made of 100% cotton/plant fiber for heat resistance, e.g. Schoeller+Stahl Record 210, 50 g- 90 m, according to the ball band 16 sts x 24 rows =
10 x 10 cm), so 50 g per color for the Tunisian crochet hook up to max. size 4.5.
For the flower(s), a leftover bit of cotton yarn is enough, e.g. Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl) for crochet hook 2.5 - 3.5.
Note: heat-resistant cotton yarn (= potholder yarn) is only lightly twisted and therefore difficult to crochet with, especially for beginners, because the yarn splits a lot. So if heat resistance isn’t that important to you, e.g. if you won’t place a hot pot on the potholder, you can also crochet with a cotton blend yarn, e.g. Pantino by Schoeller+Stahl.
We also need a measuring tape, scissors, and a yarn needle for sewing in ends.
General crochet skills are sufficient; the Tunisian crochet technique is explained with pictures.
