Dear community,
are you keeping busy and making lots of stitches? Have fun with it.

This yarn practically jumped at me while I was on vacation. It’s not very thick—it’s actually meant for a 3.25 mm needle. At first, I wasn’t sure what to make with it, but the colors are so pretty for summer, so now I’m making a summer sweater—crocheted, though, with a 3.5 mm needle. The pattern is called “Briana” and is by eliZZZa—so it’s easy to find on YouTube.
Now I’m working on it a little bit every day:

The ribbing is done in half double crochet, and on the lower part I’ve broken up the pattern twice with half double crochet rows. Now I’m curious myself to see how long it’ll take me in this hot weather ;-) and what the first piece will look like when it’s finished, color-wise. Then part two will follow; I’ll have to start with the other ball of yarn so that the colors at least match. I used the yarn from the inside here, and at the end, I’ll have to sew it together—which I don’t really like doing. But I didn’t want to unravel everything again, crochet in the round up to the underarms, and then split it—I thought of that too late.
Dear Regina,
I totally understand why you’ve fallen in love with the soft color gradients from raspberry to vanilla. Have a great time crocheting your sweater.
Best regards, Ina
None — I was at the eye doctor today and was given eye drops 5 times for a retinal exam, and I still can’t see much
Best, Inge
Hi Inge, get well soon, and I hope you’ll be able to see properly again quickly.
Best regards, Regina

A children’s sweater in Lino Muka for the 12-year-old—the first sleeve (only 600 stitches left) will be finished today.....
I’m currently working on a new pattern for a jacket and some Christmas decorations.
Hi Martina, the children’s sweater is definitely going to be very pretty. Are you knitting the raglan part up to the sleeve decrease and only then the sleeves before the body? Not bad either—for me, the sleeves are always the last parts I knit.
Best regards, Regina
Oh yes, that crochet sweater I started earlier — I unraveled it; I just didn’t like it anymore. 🤭 I’ve put the yarn away again for now. 😇
Best regards, Regina
This is how I do it (starting with the middle section) when I’m not sure if I have enough yarn for long sleeves.
