Which craft materials or techniques are comfortable to use in hot weather?

When it’s really hot but you still want to enjoy some crafting, what crafting techniques or materials do you use?

I’m bumping this topic again. 

Cotton is usually fine for quite a while. And make small pieces, so you don’t have too much warm stuff on your legs.

I like working with a 50/50 cotton/acrylic blend in 3-ply.

I’m currently working on a raglan; 4 mm needles, wonderfully soft wool/polyester yarn. The single strand isn’t very thick. I’ll decide later whether it’ll be a sweater or a jacket, since it’s going to have a V-neck anyway. 

And when it’s this hot - I prefer knitting to crocheting, no idea why.

I just finished a cotton sweater. That works reasonably well even in higher temperatures.

But I usually knit socks—mostly during cooler parts of the day—using virgin wool.🙈

I also like working with linen or a cotton/linen blend when it’s hot.

But sometimes the needles just have to take a break when it’s too hot...😘

I turned a cotton/linen handbag into a storage basket—I needed something for my phone charging cable, which was always lying around and getting in the way. These materials are pleasant to work with, and repurposing it really wasn’t much work at all

When it’s really hot, knitting and crocheting just aren’t an option. That’s when I turn to embroidery or sewing.
