You can crochet some really cute little finger puppets from leftover yarn. Young children, especially those in preschool, love these puppets, which seem to come to life on their fingers. They fit in any pants pocket, so you can easily take them along on long car rides to keep the kids entertained.
With these hand-crocheted little puppets, you can bring children immense joy. There are no limits to your imagination. Take a look at my
collection of finger puppets — you’re sure to find plenty of inspiration there!
Here are a few examples:
Kasperl and Grandma
Kasperl needs to be especially colorful and cheerful. You can either use a scrap of colorful gradient yarn or lots of small colorful scraps. For Grandma’s hair, I used fine mohair yarn. Her shawl is also made of mohair yarn.
Clown
Of course, the funny clown has to be dressed as colorfully as possible, too. This is perfect for using up the tiniest scraps of yarn.
The Frog Prince
The fairy tale of The Frog Prince was my son’s favorite. I designed this little finger puppet for him back then. And now there is a pattern for it, too!
