Dear users, dear authors,
especially as a woman, you can never have enough shoes.
How many pairs do you have on average?
How many of them do you actually wear?
How high are your highest heels?
What is the maximum shoes should cost?

Here on Crazypatterns, sandals, shoes, slippers, and slipper socks are a topic not only in winter, but of course also in summer for cold tile floors. Have a browse through the shop.
Patterns for slippers we have plenty of.
Here on Crazpatterns, patterns for sandals with a somewhat thicker sole are now even being sold, and you can even wear them outside. Here are a few sandal highlights

Then get typing. Please include an image, text, and link for each one. The important information about the technique, difficulty level, material, and what makes the pattern special must be included.
Good luck.

I think that when it comes to shoes, I’m more like a guy...
I own one pair of sandals
, two pairs of slippers
, a pair of sneakers,
one pair of winter boots, one pair of snow boots
, and one pair of high black shoes (6 cm block heel) that I only wear in an absolute emergency.
And of course, a pair of pink rubber boots (I have to be a little “girly” after all ;) )

Hi everyone!

My motto is “Heels—no thanks!”...
I have Dr. Martens in various colors and styles (from the classic to winter boots lined with lambskin), Kickers boots, various Chucks, classic Adidas sneakers, and my beloved Mickey Mouse Vans. And “crocodile shoes” (Crocs).
Also, for “dressier” occasions, I have various Geox loafers—and yes, I even have three pairs of those in my closet (though, except for veeeery few occasions, they just stay IN the closet)—dressy shoes with heels (max. 5 or 6 cm high)...

I don’t really like buying shoes either—some of my pairs are 12 years old...even when I’m out with the kids, I only go shoe shopping if my husband is with me...he enjoys it more than I do...

Best regards, Nina

I discovered wide Birkenstocks for myself many years ago—I had surgery on both hips as a child (hip dislocation), and the contoured footbed provides good support. I wear them not only in the summer but also in the winter, open-toed without socks—until it gets wet.

In heavy rain or snow, I do switch to closed-toe shoes. El Naturalista offers me the same level of comfort—I have a pair of pumps with a wider heel and a pair with a wedge heel for more formal occasions, a pair of boots, and a pair of lace-ups.

For my daughter’s wedding in August, I actually bought myself another pair of sandals, and of course a pair of sneakers shouldn’t be missing either.

I only buy shoes when I need them. In that respect too, I don’t fit the “typical” female stereotype.
For example, I have a pair of pumps that I’ve had for almost 2 years, simply because I can walk really well in them. The heels were repaired once, but that’s about it. They originally cost 19.95 euros. ;-) Then I also have a pair of winter ankle boots
For the summer, I bought myself a pair of pretty sandals because I do like my feet to feel nice and airy.
I also have a pair of sturdy shoes; they’re over 4 years old and have been to New Zealand with me twice. ;-)
Then I also have 2 pairs of flip-flops, 1 pair for walking the dog and 1 pair for the swimming pool (if I ever go swimming), plus a pair of clogs for walking the dog. And slippers, of course.
So I don’t need an extension for my shoes. My husband has significantly more shoes than I do. ;-)))

I most like wearing wedge heels because they give me good, secure support. At most 7 centimeters; I can’t wear anything higher than that anymore. I used to love wearing platform shoes, but I couldn’t do that at all today. :-(

Shoe shopping is a nightmare! Just like Nina, I drag my husband along when the kids need shoes... unfortunately, the girls already want my “expert advice,” and only the little one goes along with Dad.

That means I only have:
sneakers for gardening - my most-used shoes :-)
sandals for summer
house slippers
fall shoes
winter boots
a pair of dusty pink (grin) dress shoes with a 4 cm heel ... I think the last time I wore them was 10 years ago
and the black ones for my dirndl with a 2 cm heel in the closet ... they get worn once a year

Twenty years ago, I could still wear high heels with 12 cm heels, but those days are over because of pregnancies, the toddler years, and finally the herniated disc.

My everyday shoes are already in the 100-150 euro range; anything else unfortunately causes back pain.

Do I still count as “a woman needs shoes,” or am I more in the men’s category?

I used to work in a shoe shop. With a 30% discount, I naturally ended up with quite a few. From pumps to sneakers to chunky winter boots. I have about 30 pairs of shoes. The highest heel is 10 cm. But since I got hooked on yarn, I definitely have more yarn and no longer have a shoe obsession :-) My husband tolerates the yarn better ;-)

So much for the image of women :-).
The myth that women can never have enough shoes was probably invented by the shoe industry…

I currently own 8 pairs of shoes. I don’t wear winter boots in the summer, but I do wear the rest, depending on the weather. The only pair waiting in the closet for its next outing are my black pumps with those unbelievable 2 cm heels! I bought them years ago for my daughter’s high school prom and haven’t worn them since. The rest of my shoes have flat soles.
Aside from the fact that my shoes need to be simple, practical, and versatile, their soles also have to be flat and flexible. With these selection criteria, it’s hard to find anything at all—so price is pretty much a secondary consideration.

Hello, ladies,

I’m so happy to hear/read that I’m not the only one. I also don’t get all the hype about new shoes. Recently, I even gave away some shoes—which I hadn’t worn in at least two years (except for dress shoes—since sometimes there’s only an occasion for those every few years)—to a clothing/shoe collection. I don’t miss a single pair.
Now I have 2 pairs of ballerinas, 1 pair of sturdy low shoes, 1 pair of ankle boots, and 1 pair of slightly taller boots. Comfortable Crocs for the garden and 1 pair of sneakers. I wear these regularly, so they were all a bit more expensive. The rest are only taken out of the closet 1–2 times a year for specific occasions. (Maybe another 2 pairs here) = 9 pairs of shoes. That’s really not much when I think about it. But it’s enough—I only have 2 feet, right???

So, I’m going to live up to the typical female stereotype now! I own over 30 pairs of shoes. And I just decluttered and got rid of a few pairs. I have 5 pairs of flat shoes that I wear often: 2 black, one brown, one blue, and one bronze. Then there are a few very comfortable pairs with heels (kind of semi-dressy), 6 pairs of pumps for various occasions (also in different colors, with different heel heights), and then, of course, winter boots and lined shoes. :-))) At very different prices. I often buy shoes at outlet stores or on sale. My most expensive pair (and the one with the highest heels) was a pair of pumps for my civil wedding: €180 and 10 cm heels
And let me tell you something: my husband is even worse. I got my shoe obsession from him. :-))))
Whenever I have Saturdays off, we often go shopping!

I like comfortable shoes, especially in summer, preferably ones I can walk around in both the house and the garden. Because I don’t like the plastic clogs you can buy—they stick to my feet—I designed crocheted clogs last year
The whole family wears them now! I sewed a thin Toughtek sole onto the bottom (I order it from the USA). That means we can also wear the clogs in the garden. The sole is very thin, so they still feel comfortable to wear, but it is completely sealed, abrasion-resistant, and heat-resistant. Another great thing is that nothing from the garden sticks to it (unless you step directly into mud). So you can also walk into the house without bringing dirt inside.
For anyone interested, the pattern for the crocheted clogs is available in my shop:

THE PATTERN INCLUDES:
Detailed step-by-step explanations for every size, separate photo series, tutorial, tips for non-slip and outdoor soles

Hi everyone,
even if a woman has only a few shoes in her closet or on her shelf, it’s still a topic everyone has something to say about, isn’t it? :o)
I have a pair of all-season shoes from the company Baer. They did cost me a pretty penny, but they last about 6–7 years. These are my favorite shoes to wear because my hallux valgus—or whatever the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe is called???—is quite thick and causes me problems in “normal” shoes. This is actually my fourth pair from this brand. Only when, as a rare exception, there’s snow on the ground do I wear winter boots, and in the garden, of course, practical rubber shoes. I wear slippers indoors, and when I don’t have to walk around as much anymore, I love having my homemade felt slippers on my feet. They’re always just the right temperature, feel really great on my feet—simply awesome!!! A big thank you again for the great pattern!
