With a double-face knitting project, you can create truly imaginative designs. And the special thing about it is that both sides look great—so you essentially have two “front sides” and can also turn the knitted piece over. Here, I’d like to introduce you to two patterns; you’ll find many more options in my shop. Today I have two fresh, invigorating projects to show you. Both are for playing with or beautifying your home. They are a lot of fun and let you give free rein to your imagination.

1. Mosaic Blanket Made of Squares

Here we crochet lots of identical squares in our favorite colors that harmonize well with each other. These are then crocheted together. Add a border around it and you have a unique blanket!





2. Square Colorful Rug "Kunterbunt"

And this project is also a lot of fun. You can crochet with all your leftover yarn.  The rug will be exactly as big as you want it to be. The back is fitted with a non-slip rug underlay or rubberized to make it non-slip. That way it stays right where it belongs. The pattern is very easy; only 2 pattern rows repeat throughout.

Oven mitts with a twist—as lucky ladybirds and an absolute eye-catcher in the kitchen. Even beginners can crochet them with ease. Also recommended as a gift idea.

If you want to give a gift to a toddler who has a Puky, tricycle, or balance bike, be sure to crochet a bag like this for them. That was my granddaughter’s wish, and it has already lasted through two children. The third one is currently enjoying it.

The bag has a double bottom, making it very sturdy. The special crochet pattern also contributes to this. It can easily be hung on the handlebars without any fasteners. This way, little treasures can be collected and taken along. Recommended for experienced crocheters.

Crochet pattern for a balloon cover

Individual granny squares are crocheted and then sewn together. For easy replacement of the balloon, we make a hidden opening. This way, the cover dries quickly again after washing. The balloon is well protected, and you can have great fun playing with the ball both indoors and in the garden.
