Dishcloths and washcloths are ideal for a single skein. You can also use leftover yarn from skeins for two-color knitting. Here you’ll find 6 different patterns that even beginners can easily follow.

Of course, socks are a popular project. They’re easy to knit with just one skein of sock yarn. These socks are knitted using the simple mowi heel and three needles. You’ll find step-by-step instructions for four sizes.

A collar scarf like this is practical, and one ball of yarn is all you need. It’s perfect for the in-between seasons—worn under a sweater—and doubles as a scarf. Perfect for those who don’t like scarves.

Children’s hats – 1 skein is easily enough here. Here I’m showing you a beautiful spring hat with an interesting lace pattern.

You also need less than 50 grams for baby booties. These little shoes are knitted with a set of double-pointed needles.

This headband can easily be adjusted to fit any head circumference. Knowledge of single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet is required.

All of these motifs can be knitted with one skein - you can make a dishcloth from them, or a washcloth, depending on which yarn you use. In all patterns, every row is written out stitch by stitch, so even beginners can manage them well. If you prefer working from a chart, you can use the corresponding knitting chart.

I have a few recommendations too: for all of these models you need 1 skein of yarn or even less. That means little material and lots of lovely results. Just take a look and see what you feel like making. For more pictures, information, and the pattern, simply click on the headings.

Warm regards from Ina

The Loujain triangular shawl is crocheted using just one skein of yarn. No matter what yarn you use to make it, the Loujain triangular shawl is always an eye-catcher. You can find the pattern in my Blickfang-Design store.

The simple Susi cowl is knitted with just 100g of yarn.
The pattern is explained in detail; the cowl gets slightly wider toward the bottom so that it drapes slightly over the chest.

The Luftikus cowl is also knitted with just 1 skein of yarn with a yardage of 350m per 100g.
What makes it special is that it can be worn either way. The pattern is absolutely beginner-friendly
