For pot holders, it’s definitely recommended to use cotton yarn so they can withstand the heat of the pots well.
These pot holders shaped like gingerbread hearts make wonderful personalized gifts, since you can add a custom message to them. This means the pot holders can be decorated and given as gifts for a wide variety of occasions (birthdays, weddings, engagements, housewarmings, passing an exam, and so on...)

This beach bag is also particularly sturdy thanks to the cotton yarn and doesn’t lose its shape easily. It’s crocheted using double stitches (“crisscross stitches”) and the tapestry technique. Because the thread of the unused color runs along continuously, the bag has a particularly firm structure. To make this yourself, you only need basic crochet skills; you don’t need to be familiar with the two techniques mentioned above. They’re explained in detail in the pattern.

The body of the Kuschel heat bear should also be made from cotton yarn whenever possible so that it’s heat-resistant. After all, Kuschel is nothing more than a particularly cute cover for a grain pillow. The pillow can be removed and placed in the microwave for a few minutes. It then provides soothing warmth for a while, which helps with tension and stomachaches—or if you just want to warm up a little.
To ensure the bear is pleasantly soft and fluffy for children to cuddle, I crocheted the head and limbs from plush yarn. Of course, you can also use cotton yarn for this.
