The goose family takes us straight into spring and the Easter season with their stroll! Papa Goose is incredibly proud of his family, but Mama Goose keeps looking back worriedly at her little ones. Yet the newly hatched chicks waddle along quite nimbly behind Mama and Papa.
Here’s what you’ll need to crochet the goose family:
- approx. 50 g of cotton yarn (125 m / 50 g, e.g. Catania) in white
- scraps of cotton yarn (125 m / 50 g, e.g. Catania) in yellow, orange, gray, light green, pink, and light blue
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
- 2.0 mm crochet hook
- craft batting
- 10 black half-beads (approx. 6 mm in diameter) for the eyes
- 1 small pair of doll glasses
4 pieces of floral wire, each approx. 14 cm long
craft glue or hot glue
... and of course, the pattern! You can find it here!

Would you like to try filet crochet? Then this table runner with eggs and Easter bunnies is just right for you! It’s very easy to make. All you need to do is crochet chain stitches and double crochets. There’s a chart for the pattern, but I’ve also written out each row stitch by stitch.
The table runner measures about 34 x 100 cm, but you can also make it larger by repeating the pattern.

My, my, my... who’s hatching from those colorful Easter eggs? The little lamb, Easter bunny, and chick are all very curious to see what’s decorating your Easter table.
These three Easter animals are especially well-suited for using up leftover yarn of varying thicknesses. I used:
- approx. 20 g each of Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran (LL 184m/100g) in neon green, neon yellow, and neon pink
- approx. 10 g each of Lana Grossa Estivo II (150 m/50 g) in brown, yellow, and white
- approx. 8 g Schachenmayr Lenja Soft (85 m/25 g) in white
- approx. 30 g Schachenmayr Catania Grande (63 m/50 g) in white
- leftover red cotton yarn
- 3.5 mm crochet hook
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
- craft batting
- 3 pairs of safety eyes (approx. 6 mm in diameter)
- pink and black embroidery floss
- scraps of white felt
- glue
You don’t have to use the same yarn, just yarn of a similar thickness.
