Potholders or small cloths make a lovely weekend project all year round. Here are three different designs—depending on the yarn you use, you can make potholders, a dishcloth, or a gentle washcloth from them.

It’s getting colder, so ponchos are in demand again, e.g. my cable poncho.
It is mostly knitted in stockinette stitch, but framed with a simple cable at the edge.
You’ll need 250 to 350 g of yarn with a yardage of 450 m per 100 g.

How about these lovely knitted leggings for toddlers ages 2 and up? They have adjustable straps, so they won’t slip down, and the leggings will grow with your child for a while.

This sweater for 4–5-year-olds is knitted from cozy, warm sock yarn. It has a collar and a button placket in the front.

And if you have leftover yarn in colors, you’ll make a doll mom very happy by knitting her this jumpsuit. It fits dolls or teddy bears measuring approximately 43–50 cm.

This weekend, I’d like to introduce you to 3 original gift packages from my shop that you can use for vouchers, cash gifts, and much more. They’re all made using the same principle: The bottom part is crocheted around a cardboard tube (from toilet paper).

The figure’s upper body is then placed on top; it can be removed to open the figure.
The figures are very easy to crochet using just a few scraps of leftover yarn.

For example:

"I’m inviting you to dinner"
Chef Charly  can hold vouchers for a special dinner, a cooking class, your favorite recipe, and much more.

"A weekend in Munich"
This is perfect for all Munich fans: The Münchner Kindl promises a trip to the Bavarian capital, or it contains vouchers for Munich delicacies like beer, white sausages, pretzels, etc.

"Do you speak English?"
The Queen´s Guard might have a voucher in his belly for an English course, a short trip to London, or simply a few delicious English toffees.

Of course, you can also simply crochet these little figures as decorations!

You can find more gift packaging ideas in my “Gift Packaging” collection

Is your fall decor all set?

Then you might want to make something for Christmas this weekend.

These beautiful star ornaments are made from photo cardstock and decorated with printed paper designs and glitter liner. You’ll get templates for stars in two sizes: the small star is about 16 cm tall, and the large star is about 21 cm tall. Printable designs in two sizes are also included.

These stars definitely require dexterity and crafting experience.

In fall, it's time to bring out hats, sweaters, and headbands

The Jax hat can be knitted in 8 sizes and uses only knit and purl stitches. The pattern is described in detail from start to finish, so even beginners who already have some practice with a set of double-pointed needles or small circular needles will have no trouble following along.

Crochet pattern for a headband —the size of this headband can be customized.

If you have young children or grandchildren and enjoy making your own lanterns for the St. Martin’s Day parade, you might really like this design.

This St. Martin’s Day lantern is made from cardstock and translucent paper and measures about 19 cm in diameter. It requires a bit of concentration, but is otherwise very easy to make.

The Christmas season is just around the corner. How about this apple-shaped half-sphere?

This Christmas ornament is quick to crochet. The apple doesn’t have to be red, of course.

Have fun making it. You can also use leftover yarn for this.
