Fingerless gloves – so you can keep everything under control: Fingerless gloves are perfect for activities where you can’t really wear gloves. These gloves keep your wrists warm without restricting your fingers.

When it's this hot, I prefer to craft only small projects so the work doesn't make my lap even warmer. That's why, for this summery weekend, I'm introducing three small cloths that can be made as washcloths, dishcloths, or potholders. All three are worked using the tapestry crochet technique; the yarn not currently needed is crocheted in, so both sides look nice. The technique is very simple and is of course explained in detail in the patterns.

For the weekend in warm temperatures, I’d suggest something small and made of cotton

Granny squares are also great to crochet in any shady spot.

You can also knit granny squares. Here’s a knitted hexagon for a blanket 

You can knit with cotton even on hot days. If you have a doll or know a little doll mum, you might like the following patterns—they could be just the thing right now. They fit dolls measuring about 43–50 cm, as well as premature babies. Leftover yarn is more than enough for these projects.
