Finally summer! Everyone is looking forward to a vacation by the sea!


Octopus Oskar  I crocheted with some leftover yarn from a four-strand Bobbel. But you can just as easily use cotton yarn or any other yarn. With the suggested yarn, Oskar’s body will be about 12 cm long; together with the tentacles, he reaches a length of 38 cm.




The Seahorse Hippy  also feels right at home in a maritime decoration. I crocheted Hippy from a thin lace yarn with a glitter thread and color gradient. This makes the seahorse’s skin shimmer and sparkle beautifully. I held the yarn double. This makes Hippy about 24 cm long. For Hippy’s crest, I used a leftover bit of scrubby yarn.



And little Elephant Bully  is longing for the beach, too! He has put on his swim ring and captain’s hat and is about to head to the water with his little sailboat. This is going to be fun! You can crochet Bully from cuddly teddy yarn (as shown in the picture) or from acrylic yarn; he’ll be sweet either way.

Today I have suggestions for: two lovebirds, a little bear with his mom, and a small elephant. All three motifs are made using the tapestry crochet technique. The color not currently needed is crocheted in, so the back also looks nice. The technique is very easy to learn and is, of course, explained in detail in the patterns.

The cloths can be crocheted as cuddle cloths or gentle washcloths for the face, but also as dishcloths or potholders.

At about 18 cm tall, he’s a sweet cuddly friend, quickly crocheted in just a few evenings, and the pattern is suitable for beginners, too. Theo looks good in any color, so you can crochet up all your leftover yarn.
