These Easter eggs are perfect for using up leftover yarn in a wide variety of colors. Plus, you can give “old” plastic eggs a second life this way.

   Colorful Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs with a Floral Pattern

The first version is a bit simpler and therefore suitable for beginner crocheters who are already familiar with the basic crochet stitches. The second version takes a bit of practice for the floral pattern.

Have fun crocheting :)

When crafting, there are always a few bits of leftover yarn. Especially with small amounts (less than 1 skein), you often don’t know what to do with them.

A nice idea is egg cozies, which also make a lovely little gift to bring along.
Here are a few examples from my Egg Cozy Collection:

Egg Cozy Bunny and Hedgehog

Egg Cozy Easter Bunnies

Egg Cozy Hen and Rooster

Egg Cozy Ladybug

Egg Cozy Spring Blossoms

So go ahead, rummage through your leftovers and start crocheting right away for a colorful breakfast table!

With leftover yarn in two different colors, you can knit these pretty “From the Heart” gift bags. For the large bag, you’ll need approx. 30 g per color, and for the small bag only approx. 20 g per color. Both bags are knitted in Doubleface. If you’re still looking for a lovely way to wrap a small gift for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, then this is just the thing :-)

Knitting pattern for the “From the Heart” gift bags, set of 2 – in Doubleface

With cozy leftover yarn, approx. 30 g each in two different colors, you can make this sunny “Winter Sun” headband. It is knitted in Doubleface, making it nice and dense and wearable on both sides. Even while knitting it, the motif really puts you in a good mood.

These two cuddle cloths / washcloths are also knitted in Doubleface. This makes them cuddly soft, and they look pretty on both sides. The yarn usage is approx. 30–40 g per color.

Rachel Triangle Shawl

I made the clever Rachel triangle shawl from leftover sock yarn. But of course, other leftover yarn works too. The more colorful, the prettier. You can find the pattern in my Blickfang-Design store. Feel free to stop by. I’d be happy if you did.

If you have a lot of leftover yarn, for example even whole balls from a bad purchase… Or if you realized too late that the yarn is scratchy… And now it’s just sitting in the corner… Then you can make a great rag rug out of all that yarn....First, roll the leftover yarn into one big ball of yarn… Of course, you can take your time and wait until the ball is big enough....Then you can start on the rag rug, and it really will look like a real rag rug from the shop… Have fun

Crochet pattern for a shawl - here I crocheted 400 grams of many different yarn leftovers. At the beginning, you use the small scraps, then the rows get longer and longer.

From my shop stjerne61, here are some crochet patterns that will help you use up your leftover yarn.

Ideal for beginners who have mastered the basics of crochet; all models are quick to make, and even the tiniest leftovers are enough.
You need leftover yarn and the right crochet hook; exact material details can be found with the respective patterns (just click on the photos)

We are two Finkli (baby shoes) and we belong together, which is why we are called a pair of Finkli or baby shoes. We are soft and keep little feet nice and warm. The babies who receive us don’t want any others and are happy to wear us. We are quick to knit and super brilliantly easy to make. Colorful and bright leftover yarn is very welcome here, which is perfect for combining. This is not the end of our story! It continues in an exciting way via the following link:

Thanks to this pattern, there’s also a lovely use for lots of colorful cardstock scraps. This mobile looks wonderful in a child’s room and is very easy to make!

The individual chains of the mobile are about 27 cm long when spaced as shown. Of course, the mobile also works in other colors.

You can knit this cute little Easter gift bag from leftover yarn in various colors. The scatterbrained Easter Bunny has gone and lost his eggs!!! Luckily, the two little bunny children stop him just in time... The bag is knitted in double-face, so it looks great on both sides and can also be turned inside out.
