Dear users, dear authors,
here you’ll find attractive projects that can be made with scraps, leftover yarn, paper scraps, cardboard scraps, or fabric scraps.
Have fun with it.

@Autoren,
2-3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget links, images, info, etc.

When you have small amounts of leftover yarn, you often don’t know what to make from it. Crocheted finger puppets are always a great idea. They give your imagination and creativity plenty of room. You can let your leftover yarn inspire you and conjure up great little figures. That way, you can create an entire finger puppet theater.

In my Finger Puppet Collection, you’ll find plenty of patterns and ideas.

Here are a few examples:

Rabbit Family

Hedgehog Couple

 Seppel and Gretel

A onesie for a doll or teddy bear (25–30 cm) is perfect for knitting from leftovers. Many color variations are possible, each one prettier than the last. The onesie is knitted using the RVO method and is easy to make if you have some knitting experience.

There is also a onesie for slightly larger dolls and teddy bears (45–50 cm). This one has a button placket at the front and is knitted similarly to the first one.

And this pretty set for a girl doll (approx. 45–50 cm) is also knitted from leftover yarn. You should have some knitting experience; then it’s very easy to follow the pattern.

Crochet pattern for a triangular shawl

For this shawl, I crocheted 400 grams of various yarn leftovers. You start with the small leftovers, then the leftovers should gradually have a bit more yardage. I used everything from merino blends to mohair.

Pattern for crocheting around cans

Whether just two colors or lots of them, you can use up all your leftovers here. You should know how to work single crochet, chain stitches, half double crochet, and double crochet.

My friends are always happy to receive crocheted dishcloths

Smaller amounts of leftovers can be used up here too. You should know how to work single crochet, chain stitches, double crochet, and half double crochet.

Jane Shawl

Triangular shawls can also be made from leftover yarn. Then they turn out wonderfully colorful. For example, make yourself the Jane Shawl using lots of leftover yarn. The more colorful, the better. Then it becomes your very own design. Stop by my Blickfang-Design store. You’ll find the pattern there.

Anyone who does crafts always has leftovers. And they keep piling up. Unless you make something new out of them. Here are my suggestions for you. I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.

Warm regards from Ina

Felted wool scraps become felt insoles
These handmade insoles made from felted wool are very practical and wonderfully warm for winter boots, rubber boots, clogs, and more. A template for cutting out the right size is included in the pattern. The felt creates a barrier between your foot and the ground—so your feet always stay warm and are softly cushioned, too.

Colorful Craft Bucket
For this practical accessory, we need lots of colorful leftover acrylic yarn. Every bit can be crocheted up. In the end, we have a pretty, colorful craft bucket with lots of handy pockets all around for crochet hooks and more. Your current craft project goes in the bucket. That way you always have everything together and can quickly move it from A to B, too.

Winter Cape for Small Dolls
When our little dolls want to go to a ball, they need a cape for outdoors. This one has a lovely large hood, so the whole hairstyle fits underneath. It has a wide plush border all around. A lovely project for leftover yarn that will especially delight doll moms.

Colorful and cheerful—and easy for ambitious beginners to crochet with a little practice:

The chickens on the perch are fun decorations for doors and walls—but you can also use the little chickens individually as gift decorations and shelf sitters.

A lovely, original gift for chicken fans and crazy little chicks.

The Noble Hand Stripes
are quick to knit and, thanks to the simple slip-stitch pattern, are real eye-catchers.
You can make these great wrist warmers with just 2 x 30g of yarn.

With these snowflakes, you can put even the tiniest scraps of photo cardstock to good use, because all you need are narrow strips.

Some of them are slotted into each other, some are glued together – actually really easy.

The snowflakes are approx. 14 cm in diameter. In the pattern, I explain how to assemble the simplest version and how you can decorate it afterward.

You usually have a few scraps of cotton lying around at home. With the “Sunny Morning” egg cozy or the “Happy Dog” dishcloth, you can put those scraps in a wide variety of colors to good use. Both patterns are knitted in double knitting.

For this cozy “Winter Sun” headband, about 30 g in two different colors is enough, depending on your gauge. It is knitted in double-face, making it extra dense. It also looks great from both sides and can be reversed whenever you like.
