Decorative and very functional are these cute door hangers, which show very clearly whether visitors are welcome or not. Great not just for the restroom and bathroom. Children especially enjoy them, since they usually aren’t allowed to lock the door. This way they can simply signal that they want to be alone for a while. A nice idea for the home office, too!

Both door guards—the bear and the owl—are very easy for beginners to crochet. All you need is some leftover yarn, and a lovely gift is ready.

Note: Both patterns are also available as a money-saving set.

These little gnomes are a really sweet idea, for example as an Advent calendar. They are very easy to crochet from leftover yarn and then fill with little surprises. At my house, they sit as decoration on a small cabinet all year round, filled with leftover yarn and other small items.

There is a matching gnome house that can be filled, for example, on December 24. After that, it makes a great storage basket, also suitable for yarn including crochet hooks.

Note: The gnomes including the gnome house are also available as a pattern savings set.

This tissue box cover turns those ugly cartons into pretty decor. It is decorated with butterflies and hearts and is perfect as a nice gift. It is very easy to crochet from colorful leftover yarn. All steps are explained well.

For 10 tissues, there is a little pouch that can be taken anywhere. Here, too, leftover yarn is enough, and it is also suitable for beginners. Various models are shown.

This colorful meadow brings a spring mood to the table even in winter. Everyone can use a splash of color like this during this gloomy season. The set includes placemats, coasters, flower decorations, and various egg cozies and egg sets. Everything is easy to make and suitable for beginners.

Potholders are very important in the kitchen. They can certainly be decorative too, like these lucky beetles, which are happy to be of service when things get hot. They are also very easy for beginners to crochet.

Ear pads made of wool for headphones—instead of cheap plastic. My husband had asked for these and is thrilled with them. Very comfortable on the ears; by now I have some myself too and can confirm it.

A cozy pillow always feels good. How about an unusual pattern that is still easy to knit? To keep it from getting boring, this pillow has two different sides to switch between.

Always have a good spirit by your side—this one can dangle from a key ring, car mirror, or bag. As a gift, it brings joy not only to children. Quick and easy to crochet from leftover yarn.

Cuddle cloth / washcloth "Diggi Dino" or Cuddle cloth / washcloth "Elo Elephant" - super cuddly and very practical, whether for washing hair or wiping faces... The cloth is knitted up relatively quickly and makes a lovely gift for little ones.

Mini bread basket "Breakfast for you"
- even in a single-person household, breakfast should look pretty. With this mini bread basket, you’ll bring your favorite colors and a smile to the table 😊

Potholders "Flamingo Love"
- these two flamingos in love are really eager to help out in your kitchen. If there’s nothing to do, they’ll just hang around looking pretty 😉

Decorative, functional, and useful—there are quite a few lovely patterns for these in my shop. I’ll introduce them to you briefly here. If you’d like to see more pictures, information, or the pattern, just click on the headings.

I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm regards from Ina

CROCHET IDEAS

1. Heart Pillow "African Flowers"

Beautiful, decorative, colorful in your favorite colors, completely washable, filled with synthetic stuffing, fits into any child’s room and is always an eye-catcher

2. Colorful Advent Calendar
Colorful, cheerful, playful, ideal for using up leftovers, pattern includes a printable template for the numbers 1 - 24

3. St. Nicholas Boot

Why always only in red, green, and white? No, this St. Nicholas boot can be crocheted in your personal favorite colors. Filled, of course, it brings even more joy :-)

4. Square Basket with Mesh Pattern

perfect for yarn supplies and projects, you can leave it on the couch without a second thought, even when guests have announced they’re coming, a decorative organizer with a sturdy base

5. Game No. 1
You all know this one, right? This version is colorful, soft, and washable. You can take it anywhere. The pattern also includes the crochet pattern for the game pieces and a matching bag for transport.

6. A Pencil Roll
It’s great for crocheting from leftovers. You can put crochet hooks, pencils, or paintbrushes in the many compartments. That keeps things tidy, everything is portable, and it looks lovely too.

7. Rustico Basket
A very sturdy basket thanks to the invisible clothesline carried along inside. You can make it in any size you like. The color play comes from the yarns worked with multiple strands.

8. Water Lily Pillow
A feast for the eyes that’s fun even while you crochet it. The pillow consists of 2 pieces that are buttoned together. The buttons are crocheted too. The water lily is raised thanks to the pattern and some filling.

9. Round Basket with Mesh Pattern

You can make it in different sizes. The sandwich base is nice and sturdy.

10. Rug "Spirella"

We only need one jumbo ball of yarn, and from it we’ll crochet a beautiful rug in no time. It fits into any child’s room.

11. Christmas or Gift Bag
First beautiful, then functional, and later decorative too. A pretty little bag like this is always useful—either for a gift or for all kinds of odds and ends.

12. Square Colorful Rug

It really is beautiful and will find its place in any child’s room. It’s fun to crochet.

13. Hanging Storage Basket
Ideal for a child’s room. It has room for all kinds of clips and hair ties. Since the storage basket was crocheted onto a clothes hanger, it’s also easy to carry around when friends come over and you want to rummage through it for treasures.

14. Large Round Basket with  Bobbles
This is also one of my favorites because I like the bobbles in the pattern. Here you can combine colors beautifully. The base is very sturdy. The edge is folded over, which looks especially decorative.

15. Colorful Craft Bucket

Practical and beautiful at the same time. We crochet around a plastic bucket. Great for leftovers. All around the outside are many compartments for your crochet hooks. Your current crochet project goes into the bucket.

16. Cat Basket
Yes, the kitties want to be cozy too. So we can crochet a lovely, cozy home for them ourselves. The washing machine takes care of the felting.

17. Colorful Rug

This one really is fun while you’re crocheting it. In every round you find yourself wondering what color to crochet the next round in. Children like colorful things, so just let them help choose the colors for their new bedroom rug.

18. Two Small Buckets
Here you see two small buckets that used to hold yogurt. When you crochet with your colorful leftovers, pretty things like this can be the result. Now they can sit decoratively on the desk and hold pencils and the like.

19. Children’s "African Flowers"

A beautiful pillow for a child’s room or the garden. It has a buttonable closure and is filled with a standard cushion insert. Decorative, functional, and beautiful all at once.

20. Knitting Nancy Rug
All children are guaranteed to like it—and so will the creator of this work. Every rug is unique because you choose and combine the colors. We make lots and lots of Knitting Nancy cords and then thread them through a crocheted net.

My little “Good Luck” soap saver pouch is a great accessory for the bathroom and a practical shower companion. Just put a bar of soap inside
and, thanks to the sponge yarn, enjoy a great exfoliating effect while showering.
The soap saver pouch is quick to crochet and also makes a lovely little gift
thanks to the cloverleaf appliqué.

My little hippo sponge can be used in many ways—as an exfoliating or shower sponge, or as a dish sponge in the kitchen. It also always makes a great
little gift. In my pattern, I explain
to you how you can crochet the sponge quickly and easily.

This beautiful fly agaric mushroom with its bright red cap is just made to be admired. It’ll add a splash of color to your window, even on gray fall days.

The window decoration is made from photo cardstock and tracing paper, measures approximately 49 x 56 cm, and is easy to recreate.

On a tour through my apartment, I found lots of useful and decorative self-crocheted items:

Bathroom:

Cotton Pad Dispenser Bunny Wolli
The cotton balls are simply plucked from the tail—and a new tail “grows” right back!

The facial tissue box

is decorated with shells and sea creatures and goes with practically any bathroom decor.

In addition, the
crocheted shells
complete the overall nautical look.

Kitchen:

You can always use sustainable, pretty dish sponges. They are crocheted from sponge yarn, can be washed, and dry quickly.
Lucky Clover and Lucky Ladybug

 Little Cleaning Devil

Sunflower

Of course, potholders are a must in every kitchen so you don’t burn your fingers. But they can also be real eye-catchers:
Polar Bear and Penguin

 Coffee Cup and Milk Can

Bat Potholder

You’ll find even more potholders here.

I also always keep my shopping bags ready in the kitchen:

 Shopping Net “Mama”

Market Bag (Tunisian crochet)

Living room:

Since I wear glasses to watch TV, my glasses case is always next to the TV armchair:
Glasses Case “Beach Life”

For a cozy tea time for two, I have these placemats:
Placemat Set “Tea for Two”

To keep your breakfast egg warm, there are seasonal egg cozies:
Egg Cozy “Autumn Leaves”

You’ll find even more egg cozies here!

Bedroom:

These heat pillows invite you to cuddle! They are filled with grain pillows that have been warmed briefly in the microwave, and then they provide a wonderfully cozy warmth. They help with stomach or neck aches, or warm up the bed beforehand.

Heat Bear Kuschel

Heat Monkey Bibo

Heart Heat Pillow

And since I always read a little before falling asleep, there is always a bookmark in my book too:
Fox Bookmark

You’ll find even more bookmarks here!

Not exactly suitable for reading, but wonderfully comforting for anyone who doesn’t like falling asleep in the dark:
 Guardian Angel Night Light

I hope you enjoyed the tour through my apartment. Maybe there’s something you’d like to make? Then just click on the blue text!

The leather-textured paper alone gives this tea light holder a particularly elegant look. The delicate pattern adds an extra touch of sophistication, transforming a simple paper craft into an original and striking autumnal table decoration.

The tea light holder measures approximately 16 x 19 cm, is very easy to make, and is ideal even for beginners who are comfortable using a craft knife.

Crochet Pattern for an Oval Basket

Not just for flowers—this little basket is perfect for all sorts of small items

Crochet pattern for a tealight holder / flower vase

Jars in various sizes are crocheted around using double crochet and chain stitches. Perfect in white for family celebrations, or for garden parties in the evening.

Crochet pattern for dishcloths

Right now, they’re popular again and truly appreciated—cotton dishcloths. With this pattern, you can even use small leftover bits of yarn for an extra row.

Crochet pattern for covering cans with crochet

Here, empty tin cans or jars are crocheted around in spiral rounds. You can choose different colors, and even small scraps of yarn can be put to good use here.

Crochet Pattern for a Tablecloth

You’ll crochet individual flowers, attaching each one to the previously crocheted flowers during the final round. This creates a new shape each time, and you won’t have to go through the hassle of sewing the finished flowers together at the end.

Make it colorful using various yarn scraps, or keep it monochromatic—for example, with Catania by Schachenmayr.
