Now it really is high time for fall decor! Here are a few suggestions from me:

The sweet Hedgehog Ingo is cuddly soft and snuggly. The body is crocheted from a leftover bit of fine chenille yarn (e.g., Katia Velvet Fine or Boheme Velvet Fine by Go Handmade). For the spines, I used Brazilia eyelash yarn by Schachenmayr.

The Squirrel Kiki is a good match for Hedgehog Ingo in size and style. Like him, it is about 12 cm tall and is crocheted from reddish-brown cotton (e.g., Catania by Schachenmayr) and eyelash yarn (e.g., Peppina by Lana Grossa).

The basket with colorful vegetables works very well as fall decoration, for example for Thanksgiving or a harvest festival. During the rest of the year, it can move into the children’s play store or play kitchen. Here you can crochet lots of colorful leftover yarn to your heart’s content.

This pair of flamingos in love is a joy to knit :-) And once the pot holders are finished, they’re both useful and decorative. The knitting technique is double knitting, so the finished pot holders look equally great from both sides.

Hat season is starting again!!

The Glitzertraum hat is chic and elegant and an absolute eye-catcher. Thanks to the thick yarn, it will also keep you very warm in winter. The hat can be crocheted in different sizes; the pattern includes a size chart.
Difficulty level: Easy to intermediate; the front/back post double crochet stitches are explained in detail right at the beginning of the pattern.
Length: 8-page crochet pattern incl. pictures.
What you need:
  • Crochet hook 6.5 mm
  • Scissors, tapestry needle, pom-pom
  • 3-4x 50 g skeins of yarn (size S approx. 100-150 g, size M approx. 150 g, size L approx. 200 g) in the color of your choice (e.g., Mille II Lux color 705 by Lana Grossa). This yarn has a yardage of approx. 50 m. Your yarn should be suitable for a 7-8 mm crochet hook (it is crocheted with 6.5 mm so that the hat turns out nice and warm).
  • The hat can be crocheted in sizes S, M, L.

Crochet Pattern for a Balloon Cover

Individual granny squares are crocheted using double crochet stitches and then sewn together at the end to form a ball. This ensures the balloon is well protected from popping.

This small and handy St. Martin’s lantern is already quite colorful. But if you’d like it even more colorful or prefer to use completely different colors, you can easily customize the lantern to your liking.

The lantern measures approximately 28 x 26.5 x 9 cm and is made of photo cardstock and tracing paper. Although there’s a lot to cut out, all the lines are short and straight, so even a beginner will find the project easy to complete.

A cozy sense of satisfaction with a handmade project always comes over me when, while crafting, I already imagine how the future owner will feel with my work. Here are a few examples:

With these models, I imagine one of my grandchildren snuggling into the blanket or playing with it, and how it will fit into the children's room:

Colorful mosaic blanket made from crocheted squares

Baby or children's blanket "African Flowers"

With these doll clothes, I picture my 5-year-old granddaughter Bella enthusiastically dressing her dolls and playing with the new outfits. You can't buy them, after all; you can get them here from me ...

Princess dress

The Ice Princess's coat

Skirt in variable length with flounce and top

I really enjoy knitting these items for family and friends who are to receive gifts and who value organic and natural materials:

One-Step felt booties
- for warm feet

Wrist warmers with a decorative cable - for warm hands

And something small for the soul—just for in between, when someone needs comfort  ...

Heart pendant

And I also get a warm feeling when I imagine how these warm baby items make a precious little newcomer to the world and their parents happy ...

Baby sleeping sack

Wrap cardigan with hat

As you can see, handmade projects can make people happy—first while making them yourself, then the owner. I wish you all lots of joy with them.

Warm greetings from Ina

Fanny Coaster Set
cheerfully colorful eye-catchers for your table

-- to the pattern --

The lively, colorful coasters are a great quick in-between project and well suited for leftover yarn.

With basic crochet skills these coasters can be crocheted quickly. As always, the pattern is richly illustrated and describes in detail all 3 variations (2-color, 3-color, 4-color).

Each coaster uses just under 10g of cotton yarn (e.g. Gründl Cotton Fun, LL 115m/50g).
They have a diameter of approx. 11cm.

They should be colorful—the shoe fashion for fall. The little boots are crocheted to fit a 43 cm doll.
