If you know any toddlers, they’ll definitely love this food for their play kitchen. They can use it to whip up a delicious meal or even breakfast for their dolls and teddy bears. The pattern includes toast, butter, a fried egg, vegetables, and pasta.

All the pieces can be crocheted even by beginners with basic skills.

A colorful pennant garland for a garden party or, with letters, as a gift for a baby.

Crocheted with single crochet and double crochet, it can’t be colorful enough.

Crochet pattern for a balloon cover

This balloon cover is made from many individual granny squares. The balloon is well protected inside it, both indoors and outdoors. If it gets dirty, it can be washed quickly. A lovely toy for children from crawling age.

Do you have lots of leftover cotton yarn? Then this cover is just the thing.

The flowers are always crocheted onto the finished ones during the last round, so there’s no sewing together at the end. The pattern guides you in writing round by round, and you’ll also find a crochet chart.

Cute finger puppets can be crocheted from leftover yarn, and kindergarten children especially will enjoy them, because they are easier to play with using little fingers than large hand puppets. You can first act out little stories for the kids, and later they’ll get active themselves, act them out, and invent their own. This encourages creativity in a playful way.

Here are a few examples from my shop:

 Hippo, Lion, Monkey

Hedgehog Pair Anny and Bruno

Seppel and Gretel

If you want to crochet even more finger puppets, take a look at my Finger Puppets Collection

Sewing up leftover jersey fabric?

The best way for us to use up leftover jersey fabric is to sew undies from it!

For boys, the PIPPIN sewing pattern in sizes 98-140 is ideal—very small scraps can be used here, too. And the kids are delighted when they rediscover fabrics they’ve grown fond of ;)

Here you can find the Pippin ebook sizes 98-140.

For girls, I have Panty PIPPA in my range; the ebook is available in various size packs:

Have you accumulated some photo cardstock scraps in fall colors? Then you can use them up with these fall-themed decorative garlands.

The garlands shown are each about 80 cm long, but you can easily shorten or extend the number and length to fit any window or other surface.

The leaves are cut out of photo cardstock and strung on Perlon thread. They are very easy to make and well-suited even for craft beginners.

This picture is also a great opportunity to use up scrap photo cardstock. You’ll need a little time and patience to recreate the fall leaf , but the result is worth it!

The finished picture measures approximately 31 x 31 cm. You can use a sheet of photo cardstock as the background and then frame the picture, or you can glue the design onto a stretched canvas.

If you’ve accumulated some leftover translucent paper, you can use it up with this project. Although this lantern was originally intended for the St. Martin’s Day parade, it works just as well as a nightlight.

The lantern is made from cardstock and translucent paper, measures only about 20 cm, is easy to make, and is well-suited even for beginners.

Persian Tiles are a wonderful way to use up leftover yarn decoratively and practically at the same time.

Whether you make one or several - with Tairu you can’t go wrong.

Also suitable for using up leftover yarn is the baby spiral sock Kajou.
Worked without a heel, Kajou is also easy for newcomers to knitting with a set of double-pointed needles.

Coasters Fanny
great for small amounts of leftover yarn

-- to the pattern --

The lively, colorful coasters are a great project for in between; each coaster only requires just under 10g of cotton yarn.

With basic crochet skills these coasters are quick to crochet. As always, the pattern is richly illustrated and describes in detail all 3 variations (2-color, 3-color, 4-color).

Just under 10g of cotton yarn (e.g. Gründl Cotton Fun, yardage 115m/50g) was crocheted for each coaster.
They have a diameter of approx. 11cm.

Owl Bag Enni
great for lots of colorful leftover yarn

-- to the pattern --

Here you can crochet up lots of colorful scraps and create a wonderful one-of-a-kind piece.

As always, the pattern explains step by step with lots of photos how to crochet the bag from colorful leftover yarn.
Only basic crochet skills are needed, so the bag is also a great project for beginners.

The bag used a little over 100 g of cotton yarn (e.g., Gründl Cotton Fun, 115 m/50 g).
It is 16 cm wide and 19 cm tall.
