No garden today after all ... what a shame. Well, then I’ll just use the time for other things.

Now I can also show you the finished second skirt for Linja. It now has straps that can be unbuttoned if needed. This is what it looks like now:

And my doll got a matching hairband too. The complete set is now finished.

And this is what the started summer cardigan for Juna looks like. She’ll get it for her 1st birthday. I’m knitting it from 2 gradient yarn cakes that I still have lying around. The green yarn is a leftover that I have from a little skirt.

My own experience statement about gradient yarn cakes:
It’s the first one I’m working with. Honestly, I don’t understand why they’re used so much. This one will definitely be my last. Because it really annoys me that some of the strands are always “hanging loose” — I can’t really describe it any other way right now. When knitting, that creates such unattractive loops in the stitches.

My question to the gradient-yarn-cake fans:
How do you deal with that? Do you get these loops too? Do you cut them off later, or how can I prevent this? I’m curious to hear your experiences and opinions.

Monika, when working with bobbles, you always have to make sure the tension is even and be careful to catch every single strand—it’s almost impossible to knit by feel, but it’s something you get used to. I don’t really like working with them either, though.

I don’t really get the Bobbel hype either, since I’m not a Bobbel fan myself—especially since there are now beautiful two-ply yarns with color gradients available. But to each their own!

I finished a little Easter decoration today:

The two glass eggs will go on my Easter tree.
And now I’m starting on a honeybee! I have plenty of time for it now:

Ruth, I admire the tiny things you’re always crocheting. They’re so cute. But I just don’t have the patience for that—it’s too fiddly for me. You always do such a great job with them.

Thanks, Mel, for the tip. I’ll keep that in mind. I’ve already noticed that I have to pay attention to every stitch. The movies in the evening are just more like radio plays to me. ;-)

Wow, I’m really amazed at all the beautiful things you’ve all created again. You don’t check in here for a few days, and then you just can’t stop being amazed.

That doll kitchen is absolutely amazing—it makes you want to be a kid again! And there are plenty of crocheted ingredients, too.

So, Monika, the speed at which you knit all these things is record-breaking, and they’re so even—I can’t keep up; I prefer crocheting.

And I think Petra’s rugs are wonderful. Your place looks so cozy—your terrace, too—everything’s so idyllic. Unfortunately, it’s still a bit chilly outside here, even though it was pleasantly sunny today—perfect for window cleaning.

I tried out a new crochet pattern (that Polish star). It’s easier than it looks. My test crochet piece still needs some work, though.

Have fun here, everyone, and have a lovely evening together

Bastelfan, your Polish star looks interesting, and
Ruth, your Easter decorations are absolutely adorable!
Monika, your granddaughters and the doll will look enchanting!
A little hammerhead shark just slipped off my needle.

There’s some amazing creativity coming to life here, wow!

Mel, you come up with one great idea after another. Your hammerhead shark is something completely different, and you did an amazing job with it.

Bastelfan, the Polish pattern looks very beautiful, but also complicated.

Thank you for all the praise for my knitting. ;-)
Working with the Bobbel is slowly getting better, but to be honest, I’ll be glad when it’s knitted up. It’s definitely one of the yarns I don’t love.

Today I’m going to sit in the garden and keep knitting—I’m really looking forward to it. Tomorrow I’ll be able to celebrate my birthday outside, too. This time it’ll be a small celebration with our neighbor and my husband. The best gift is the wonderful spring weather.

Take care, everyone, and enjoy what you have.

You’re showing some beautiful things here.

Monika, multi-strand yarn can be tricky—but that apparently also depends on how those yarn cakes are wound. In your picture, the yarn looks pretty thick...
I often don’t really like these color gradients, but I do like the finished stitch pattern, so I’ve already crocheted a few (only mottled ones without gradients).

The last one had a glitter thread in it for the first time, which I found particularly challenging—for example, the single thread made of a different material stretched differently than the rest of the threads.

It takes some getting used to working with it, and it’s not my favorite material either. But when worked loosely, it has a very special texture that I really like.
I always need a change of pace anyway, whether it’s the material or the project.

By the way, I’m currently crocheting a new toilet paper roll hat again.

That toilet paper roll hat looks pretty funny.

So, I’ve finished one salami. Anton loves salami, so he needs one for the kitchen, too.

Sandra, that salami looks so real, you just want to take a bite.
The kitchen is already perfectly equipped.

The toilet paper roll hat is sure to turn out great again—we can only imagine what it’ll look like so far.

A mini hedgehog is also moving into my forest—I’ve just groomed him... it was a fluffy and dusty affair.

Sandra, what you’re crocheting for Anton’s kitchen is truly fantastic. The ice cream with whipped cream—amazing!!! And the salami even more so!!

Claudia, your toilet paper roll hat is very imaginative—something completely different. I’d never guess there was a toilet paper roll underneath. It’s got something special, really!

The yarn cake I’m knitting with is mottled and works well for the jacket. I’ve already made some progress up to the armhole.

Okay, now I’m going to treat myself to a little glass of red wine with my sweetheart. Cheers! :-)

Sandra, your salami is amazing. The supply of food for Anton just never ends. Great!

I also had my fair share of trouble with my first (and so far, last) yarn cake. Definitely not my kind of yarn either. I was always forgetting a strand, and I didn’t really enjoy it.

I’m curious to see the toilet paper roll hat. It looks really interesting and decorative.

I’m still crocheting my blanket, and in the meantime, I got a request from my daughter: a new soap pouch—this time for her shampoo bar.

Petra, your soap saver looks great.

Today I was knitting in the garden and—oh no, I’ve earned myself the title of Frogging Queen.

Once upon a time, there was the beginning of a child’s cardigan, and it already looked like this:

And this is what’s left of it now:

Oh well. Unfortunately, I only just noticed that I had miscounted when picking up the stitches, and there were too few stitches. So now I’m just seeing it as a practice piece for knitting with a gradient yarn cake.

So let’s start over, this time in the right size. ;-)

Petra, I really like the soap pouch, too.

I also think you’ll be able to fix it quickly.

Sandra, you really have talent, and who knows, maybe someday you’ll change your mind after all about writing patterns. Your food for Anton is absolutely fantastic.

Perle, you’re starting with different treats now too. I’m excited to see what else you’ll make. It already looks really delicious.

I’m just going to see the unraveling for what it is: a chance to work up the Bobbel better now. The practice piece was just a bit big. ;-) Now I’m just working my way upward again. ;-)

I wish you all a lovely day! Be creative and use the time you have now for beautiful things.

The play kitchen already offers so many possibilities—that’s great. And I imagine it’ll be exciting to see all these individual pieces in action later on. Plus, the pieces are so decorative on their own.

Petra Perle—“Awesome idea”!!!
And the pun, too.

Monika, have you managed to warm up to the gradient yarn yet? That little jacket was already looking good...

By the way, I’ve finished my toilet paper roll hat in the meantime.

Well Claudia, I have to say, that’s quite a creative “disguise” for a toilet roll. I wonder if it will be found? ;-)

As you may have read, I had to unravel the cardigan again; I was already up to the start of the sleeves. That’s when I realized there weren’t enough stitches. Now I’ve knitted the first approx. 40 rows back up again. I’ve come to terms with the yarn by now, but I definitely won’t be getting myself another gradient yarn cake. However, I really like the result with this variegated yarn.

Sandra, your vegetables really look good enough to eat. Definitely looks like Ruth’s style... ;-)

Sandra, Anton will definitely be very happy about this. All the pieces look great.

Claudia, your toilet paper roll hat turned out great—another fantastic idea.

Petra’s little whipped-cream topping looks great, too. It really makes your mouth water.

Yesterday I also started something new—it’s going to be a small shawl made from a yarn cake. I’m not exactly a fan of yarn cakes either.  It’s been sitting in the closet for a while, and I finally decided to use it.

Oh my gosh, Marion, you’re crocheting with bobble yarn? Hats off to you! Just knitting with it is enough for me. Your shawl looks great, though—really great, actually. It seems like quite a few of us here can use up our leftover bobble yarn, so we’re snagging another title. :)

Sandra, your vegetables are just the best. They practically beg to be bitten into.

Hi, I’ll go ahead and post something here too. I’m relatively new here and have started crafting again after many years. I’m currently working on an Icelandic sweater for my husband, which is knitted in the round from the bottom up. Now I’ve joined the sleeves to the body and I’m struggling to knit everything up to the neckline on an 80 cm size 4.5 needle. Does anyone have experience with this and can give me some tips? It would be a shame if I failed now—maybe I’m doing something wrong. I’d appreciate any replies....

Hi Gabriele,
maybe you could post your request for help again in a new thread outside of this group, since more craft enthusiasts will see it there.

Unfortunately, I can’t help you myself, since I’ve never knitted an Icelandic sweater. That’s why I’m not sure whether I understand your question.

Don’t get discouraged. You’ve already come so far if you’re already at the top.

Best regards

Ever since I discovered bobbles, I’ve really enjoyed crocheting and knitting with them, @Marion and Moni :)

@Sandra, your vegetable garden is getting better and better. It looks really delicious.

Even though I can’t go out much right now, I was in the mood for a summery hat:

Hi Gabriele!
If I understand correctly, your problem right now is that the cable is too long for the small neckline. Here, you could either switch to a set of double-pointed needles or the Crazy Trio, or work with a magic loop (there are videos on YouTube showing how to do this).

2049 Posts Recent Started

I just finished my trio made from “inherited” yarn: a diagonally knitted loop (HMScreativ), an “Everyday” (Maschenkreationen), and a Tunisian-crocheted coat hanger with a few stripes of purl stitch (a new technique for me)

Hi Nadeleule! Thanks for your reply. Yes, you’re right. I haven’t gotten to the neckline yet—I’m still working on joining all the pieces—and I went a bit overboard with 316 stitches on a 100 cm circular needle. But it’s going a little better after a few rounds and switching to an 80 cm circular needle. You just can’t give up! It’s all a bit of a struggle at the beginning.

A warm welcome to our group, dear Gabriele! :)
I hope you have a great time here with us.

Sandra, your vegetables are simply delicious. Anton’s already getting a whole set for his toy store. At least no one will go hungry with him around. ;-)

Marlene, a summer hat will surely be needed soon. We can already count down the days until it gets warmer.

Christina, your trio looks great and goes together perfectly.

I’ve now finished the body of the cardigan I just started. I’m currently knitting the first sleeve. I’ve come to terms with the yarn cake by now, but I’m already looking forward to knitting with regular yarn again. Here’s what the cardigan looks like now:

Monika, you’re really fast. Considering this isn’t your favorite yarn, it actually looks really good.

I crocheted another poncho using simple cotton yarn.
It’s been lying around here for a while—it’s not my color at all...
To this day, I still don’t really know what made me buy it.

Let’s see if I can find someone around here who’d like to adopt it… once we can meet up again.
Actually, the yarn is really beautiful, but this color always makes me look so terribly pale and sickly—it doesn’t suit me at all…

I’m also crocheting a second toilet paper roll hat with a forest theme. My nephew said, “I’d put something like that out too… Awesome!”
Well, if that isn’t an invitation… right now I’m giving the second hedgehog a little touch-up :-)

I finally did it. My yarn-cake project is finished.

I had the same experience as Monika. The shawl was already pretty far along when I discovered some mistakes. So I unraveled almost the whole thing and started over.
If I hadn’t liked it so much, it would have become a UFO.

Now I just have to block it.

Claudia, a poncho is always a good idea.

Marion, you’ll still show us your shawl when it’s finished, right?

My Bobbel project is finished today too, yay. I was able to completely finish the cardigan today, including the buttons and weaving in the ends. This is what it looks like now.

Now I’m going to start a summer hat to go with it. Honestly, I don’t really know what else to knit with the Bobbel, except maybe a cowl.

Monika, it’s great that you finished too. The jacket turned out beautifully.

Monika, your jacket turned out really nice. The different-colored cuffs are a great idea.

Marion, your scarf is great. It’s sure to look fantastic draped around your neck with all those different shades, and it’s very versatile.

Since I’ve been so busy with reduced work hours (I’m a payroll accountant), I don’t really get around to crafting anymore. I’m still crocheting my blanket and have at least 150 grams left to go. In the meantime, I’ve added a new color.

Petra, your blanket is a real work of art—at least in my eyes. That really takes a lot of perseverance.

For the jacket, the mottled yarn allowed me to use up some leftover yarn for the cuffs. Yes, I think the final result is very nice, too. Kids just love colorful things.

I wish you all a wonderful day!

Monika, your little jacket looks great. A wonderful color combination.

The shawl will definitely look fantastic when worn, with the different points hanging down irregularly—Marion, you’ve got a great piece there.

I also really like the blanket; it looks so beautifully delicate—I’m really looking forward to seeing the color gradient.

This Saturday is my niece’s wedding, which, unfortunately, is taking place quite differently than planned given the current circumstances—neither the witnesses nor the photographer are allowed to attend; only the two children are permitted to come since they “live in the same household…”
She’s torn between dark humor and tears… so I’m sending her her very special wedding toilet roll cover in the mail ahead of time—maybe it’ll bring a little smile to her face… At least the plan is to make up for the celebration at some point later.

Yes, Claudia, it’s really a shame to have to celebrate the wedding like that.
But your gift is sure to bring a smile to their faces. The bride and groom are especially lovely.

Petra, your blanket is sure to turn out beautifully too—what other colors are you using?

I’m glad you like the shawl as well. It’s a free pattern from here. I’ve had it for a very long time and finally got around to trying it out.

Oh Claudia, that makes me sad, too... The belated celebration is sure to be especially lovely.
The gift looks simply enchanting, and I’d be thrilled to receive it, especially since birds are my favorite animals. You’ve really brought a very special idea to life.

The summer hat came along nicely today on the patio in the most beautiful sunshine. At the same time, I think I’ll knit some socks for myself using the leftover yarn from the sweater. Now that I’ve given away most of my socks, I realize I could use some myself.

Right now, my April project is to keep working on the tablecloth.

I started it over a few weeks ago and changed some of the pattern rounds a bit.
I wasn’t entirely happy with the hook size. Now I’m using a size 3 hook instead of a 3.5.

This is what the tablecloth looks like at the moment:

Yeah, Anton could open a restaurant soon. My granddaughter always did that. She’d come over with a scribbled-on piece of paper (menu) and ask what we wanted. And then we’d get pizza topped with lemon ice cream or chocolate-tomato soup...

Marlene, I admire your perseverance. I don’t think I’d have the patience for a blanket like that. I prefer making smaller things.

Those little shoes are cute. Are they for someone in particular?

A pretty spring wreath! You did a great job on that, Christina.

I just finished up a pattern for Easter pencil toppers. Now I’m back to crocheting hand puppets. And with this beautiful weather, I’ve got just the right light on the balcony for my embroidery.

I love the wreath—the lamb in the flower meadow under a blue sky… simply beautiful.

And those sweet little shoes—soooo cute.

Marlene, you definitely still have a lot of work ahead of you. But it’s worth it… so far, the blanket is really beautiful.

Did you even make a cardboard box for the pizza, Sandra? Brilliant. That gives Anton great opportunities to play—he’ll definitely love it.

The wedding “is now taken care of, the contract is signed” (their exact words… that’s really all there was to it…), but they’ve never received so much mail and so many calls before. It comforted them a bit to know that so many people were thinking of them. At least that’s something… let’s see when they can finally have the celebration and she can wear her wedding dress. She just wasn’t up for it after that…

In the meantime, I’ve cut up old couch cushions and T-shirts and sewn them into masks; my sister was already pretty panicked that she was running out of the masks she still had and couldn’t go shopping anymore… she won’t leave the house without them right now.
That left me with a few small scraps, which I used to sew mini bunnies out of—I’m sending them out today with Easter cards. Since we can’t meet in person, at least there’s a little Easter greeting...

I also baked an Easter lamb for my in-laws—it’ll be joining the package on its journey... I’m curious to see if it’ll survive the trip in the package. If not, there’ll be crumbs...

How are you all spending the holidays?
We’ve decorated the apartment and the balcony lavishly and colorfully, just like always. Except that we won’t be seeing anyone...

Marion, your little shoes and especially the sloth are fantastic! It looks so lifelike.
Christina, your door wreath is sure to bring a lot of joy. I really like it.
Claudia, your lamb looks absolutely delicious—it’s making my mouth water. And the little sewn bunnies are a great idea that’s sure to delight everyone who receives them.
Ruth, your bunnies are also such sweet little comforters. Grandma’s cake—what could be better.

We’ll be baking something for Easter, too. I’ll decide what to make on the spot. Right now, I’m going to bake an (almost) vegan cheesecake, which we’ll eat in the garden later—at least part of it.

Here’s where I’m at with my craft projects for April—1 pair of socks finished—1 pair still on the needles—and a top for me on the needles made from some wool I didn’t really like. But as I knit, I’m realizing that the bouclé yarn is definitely easier to work with than the yarn cake. Oh, and I also finished a hat for Juna that matches her jacket. She’ll get all of this in May for her first birthday.

The hat

The socks

The second pair of socks—still in progress

The top—on the needles

And then I also set up a little garden on the balcony—strawberries and lettuce.

Oh, everything looks great again.

I finished a raspberry cream cake today. (Freehand, without a pattern).

And just now, I finished a wristwatch. 😂
He’s always stealing mine, and now I think a real one is just nonsense anyway

Hard at work and on the move, Monika, as always! That hat goes great with the jacket!

And Sandra, your Anton sure has a lot to look for there! That cake looks delicious!

Wow, Sandra, that cake looks totally real. At first, I thought you’d actually baked it. Looks delicious! And the clock is a great idea. I imagine there are quite a few readers here who’d love to have a pattern for a cake like that. Maybe you should reconsider... ;-) You’ve got real talent as a designer.

So, I’ve made a bit more progress. The top has turned into a surprise project. I’m deciding as I go along what it will be and how it should look. Exciting!

Here’s where I am now:

And the second pair of socks for me is also finished—made from “diet” yarn.

A while back, Anton lost his teddy bear, which he always had with him at daycare. He wasn’t extremely attached to it, but I think it’s important for the daycare.

Here’s the replacement.

I hope he’ll accept it. It looks quite different because it was made from leftover yarn, and the other yarn is no longer available.

Sandra, that looks so cute, and I hope it finds a loving home!
By the way, how did Anton like all your crocheted treasures? Will you show us a picture sometime?

Did you get to enjoy the holidays?

It felt a bit unusual to me, but thanks to the great weather, it was still quite nice... we had a barbecue on the balcony and went for a long walk on Sunday, cooked and baked some delicious treats for ourselves...
We just missed all the lovely people we usually get to see. You can’t replace that cozy time spent together with phone calls.

But I need help polishing off the leftovers—for example, one Easter lamb actually made it through the holidays unscathed... we had plenty of muffins made from the leftover batter :-)

Of course, I also made sure to set aside plenty of time for crocheting on the balcony.

I hope you all had a few nice holidays as well.

This time, it looks like I’ll only be able to finish this one little project:

I’m focusing on my tablecloth, which currently looks like this:

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Anton will love this bear just as much as the other one.

Christina: For Easter, Anton “only” got the pizza and the cake. The vegetables are still waiting. It would simply have been too much.

He thinks the cake is great, the pizza is okay. The first thing he did was throw all the toppings off 😂

He was happy about the teddy bear... though he calls it a monkey. It has just had a scarf tied around its neck because he drools so much

Monika, things seem to be going really well for you. You’ve already finished so many beautiful pieces.

Sandra, the “replacement bear” for Anton is so cute. Your cake turned out really well—it looks good enough to take a bite out of.
Anton is surely thrilled with all the things and can have a great time playing with them.

Claudia, I’m sure your little lamb still tastes good with coffee today. Keep having fun crocheting on the balcony,

Marlene, your blanket has really grown a lot, and the colors are getting more and more beautiful.

We also enjoyed the holidays in the garden. With the wonderful weather, we were of course out in the woods too; it’s practically right on our doorstep.

I also got around to crocheting. When I’m finished, I’ll show it to you again.

Sandra, the teddy bear is absolutely adorable and will be a sweet companion for Anton. Yes, I think the comparison to a monkey really hits the mark.

Claudia, thanks for your wonderful insights into your Easter celebrations. For us, too, it was somehow too quiet. Usually the neighbors’ grandchildren are playing in the garden, but now it’s been so quiet there for weeks. The two grandparents seemed pretty lost over Easter and are surely looking forward to seeing life return there.

Marlene, I think your chickens are great. That’s a wonderful idea. Little things like that are perfect for crocheting in between other projects and also for giving as gifts. Your blanket is really taking shape.

We also went for walks in nature here over Easter and spent a lot of time in the garden. While we were out, I finally saw a mole for the first time in my life. It was a relatively small one that the neighbor’s cat had probably startled. It was then looking for its entrance above the flower bed, so I was able to admire it in all its glory. It was sooo cute with its red nose and silky fur. And those little shovels… adorable.

I’ve almost finished knitting my top, too. I just need to knit up the front part of the top. It’s going to be a super easy piece to knit, and it can be made in any size and length. It’s also versatile—you can wear it with or without a shirt underneath. I knitted it longer so it goes well with leggings, for example—with or without a belt. When it’s done, I’ll show it to you.

Have a great week and take care.

The chickens were more of a coincidence, Moni :)

I love tops that adapt to any size.

Thanks, Wollefaden—I’m already looking forward to your crochet project.

I can now show you two new pieces.
They’re gifts for a neighbor—the baby (a boy) is due in May.

You’ve already made so many great things 😊.
Unfortunately, I haven’t (yet).
I’m still spinning (my alpaca wool) a bit 😉, and then I’d like to knit a baby blanket.

I think the bear is cute too, Marion. Kids love colorful things, after all. The shoes are great as well.

I’m still working on my top, and I also need to write up a few more patterns.

Today I sewed four makeshift face masks, since I suspect that masks will soon be required here in Bavaria.

What wonderful things you’ve all made.

@wollefaden that colorful little bear is so cute. A great idea for leftover yarn

I’ve sewn masks too. For family, friends, and neighbors. They’re really quick to make, but I’ve noticed that everyone needs a different elastic length. What was too big for one person was gratefully taken by the next. I still have plenty of fabric scraps, but the elastic is slowly running out.

@Bergli
spinning would really interest me too. I once took a class and it was a lot of fun. Maybe you’d like to show your spinning wheel sometime, and the yarn you’ve already finished.

I’ve also been crocheting. My lantern is finished (inspired by Petra Perle)

Then I started a sweater for myself, but it’s already a UFO... I’m not completely happy with it. We’ll see what becomes of it.

My spinning wheel with the raw wool I still need to spin, and below it, the spun and plied yarn, ready for knitting. 😊
I took a spinning class at the beginning, but the best way to learn is to practice, practice, and spin, spin, spin. The more I spin, the better I get at it. I notice that when I haven’t spun for a while, the yarn comes out much thicker, but the more I spin, the finer the thread I can produce 😀

After a stressful week, I need something simple that doesn’t require much thought, so I’m making an old pattern again in fresh colors.

This week, just to be on the safe side, I knitted some masks for us in case they become mandatory.

You’re all working really hard.

I’ve been busy too. My long sweater is finished and now looks like this:

My current project is a bunny that’s really coming to life. It’s one of the patterns I bought here way back at the very beginning and am finally crocheting now. This is helping me use up some of my “diet yarn,” and it also gives me another gift in stock for Juna. Since I used button eyes here, she won’t get it until later. I’m already totally in love with the little guy myself, though. Now I’m waiting for the stuffing I ordered so I can finish the body. Next, I’ll start on the legs. Here’s what he looks like now:

Strangely enough, small projects don’t really work out for me, Ruth.

When I manage to make something that isn’t a scarf, sweater, or something similar, it’s more by chance.

I’m always amazed at how some people manage to make those amigurumi.

I really like your long sweater, Moni, and your bunny, too.

The chocolate ice cream looks delicious.
It won’t be long before Anton opens a restaurant, Sandra :)

Monika your bunny’s little face turned out great—it has such a friendly expression. And those big ears are awesome; Luna will really be able to snuggle into them nicely.

Bergli then you’ll be able to get started with knitting soon. I used to enjoy spinning when the yarn was thicker in some places and thinner in others. But that was a long time ago. I don’t have the time anymore. I already have so many interests, so I’ve tucked spinning away in my memory box as a lovely weekend memory.

Marlene, the long sweater is super easy to knit and can be made in any size, length, and width—whatever you like. If my friend likes it, I’ll knit one for her, too. She’s (hopefully) coming in May for my husband’s 70th birthday. I’m really looking forward to it.

Once again, such wonderful things have been created here. I always love admiring other people’s work—it’s so diverse.

Monika, your bunny already looks so cute; you’ve really nailed that facial expression. Which CP pattern is that?

It’s interesting that there are still people who actually know how to use a spinning wheel—it’s quite impressive. I can’t do it. My ex-mother-in-law back then had one of those sitting around as decoration. Nobody actually spun with it.

I used up some leftover yarn again today. Just a small project.

Andrea, this is a great project for using up leftover yarn—I really like it.

The rabbit’s face looks a little different in the pattern. The corners of its mouth are turned down. I didn’t like that very much. I think it’s supposed to spread good cheer. That’s why I changed it. Otherwise, I’m crocheting it according to the pattern. Today I crocheted a foot and a leg. Now I have to wait for the stuffing.

The pattern is from GabisDesign—it’s Benny the Bunny, 40 cm tall, with clothes. Just type it into the search bar.

It’s been great to see what’s been shared here again over the last few days… Everyone has been so creative and has made some beautiful pieces.

I’ve sewn a few more masks; I’ve already given some away to the kids and friends.
I’ve also gotten around to crocheting. My sloth has gotten a friend so he doesn’t have to “hang around” all alone.
