Dear users, dear authors,
after the Christmas break, we’re back with another awards ceremony here.

You can find the January projects here
January Projects: The Crazypatterns Handicrafts Group 2020
and
here
February Projects + January Projects Part 2: The Crazypatterns Handicrafts Group.

Taking part in the final sprint and awards ceremony: How does it work?
Copy the section between the asterisks in the post below into your text field / reply field, then fill it out accordingly or delete anything that does not apply.

When will the awards ceremony take place?

Approx. February 4./.%. Everyone will be entered.

I’m a user, not an author. Can I still join in?
All users + all authors can join in. Simply write a post in the final sprint thread and you’re in.

Everyone receives at least one honorary title. Nobody goes offline without a title or without extra bonus points
If someone had many everyday challenges in January, that can also be recognized with an honorary title or extra karma points / bonus points upon request. If necessary, I’ll invent a new honorary title.

Earn extra points / bonus points and improve your karma:
- As always, there are extra points for photos / images (only your own uploaded ones). Please do not upload third-party images / images that do not belong to you (e.g. from somewhere on the internet). These will be deleted.
- Finished handmade items that are given to loved ones or donated always also earn extra karma points / bonus points, to appropriately recognize the time / effort / energy spent on them.
--> Please provide the relevant details here in the thread.
- Feedback for the Crazypatterns authors (e.g. reviews, comments, etc.) is also always rewarded with extra points.
--> Please write down details if applicable.

Template to copy in the post directly below.

I'll just get started—my projects in January:

  • 2 different pairs of baby shoes for Juna, my granddaughter

  • Nests for the poor baby animals in Australia

  • Little socks for Juna

  • Two different neck warmers for me

  • A hat and an infinity scarf for my husband

I also uploaded two patterns in January:

An infinity scarf with a pretty lace pattern

Then I’ll continue and have the following to announce:

UFO King/Queen in January / WIP King/Queen

[X ] In January, I finished a UFO (= an unfinished object = a handmade project that may have been waiting to be completed for quite some time) or a WIP (work in progress = a handmade project in progress), and have therefore earned the title of UFO King/Queen / WIP King/Queen in January.

Does a sewing project count too? I finally sewed my daughter’s sun sail and replaced all the torn-out loops.

Alien King/Queen: more UFOs are always better
[X ] I have many UFOs / WIPs waiting to be finished, and am therefore the January King/Queen of the friendly alien planet. :- )

Details: This applies to me. A new shawl was added to my many UFOs, and it is now also lying in the box. There are already 1 pair of socks, 3 cowl scarves, 1 cape, 1 granny blanket, 1 hat, 1 pair of baby shoes, 1 embroidery picture

Best of Leftovers in January: using leftover yarn is great
[X ] In January, I used up lots of colorful leftover yarn and thereby truly earned the title Best of Leftovers.

Details about the leftover yarn projects in January: I used well-aged yarn for little nests

Yarn Diet 2020 / Yarn Emperor/Empress / Inner Slacker Conqueror in January
[X ] I didn’t buy any yarn in January and have therefore earned the title Yarn Emperor/Empress in January.

[X ] I haven’t bought any yarn for quite some time. The honorary title Yarn Emperor/Empress therefore absolutely and deservedly belongs to me. But the diet is over now; I’m going to buy yarn in February.
--> Please state the total time period. Embarrassing—my last purchase (just a small one) was in December

Busy Little Brownie in January
[X ] I was able to get done / finish / complete lots of handmade projects in January.
Details about that: I finally turned my placemats into something. All of them together made a wonderful cozy blanket for me

[X ] I was also very busy offline / in everyday life in January.
Write details here if you’d like to share: Finally started sorting out my closet

Forum King/Queen in the month of January

[X ] I took part in / congratulated people in the birthday threads.

A lovely warm collar that I absolutely love. It keeps you wonderfully warm and is quick to put on and take off.
Here’s the pattern

[X ] In January, I revised and improved my product images / product texts / my shop.
I revised my pattern for my shawl. It now has a really great knitting chart, and there are no more abbreviations in the pattern. Knitting pattern for a large shawl

Rescuer of Recalcitrant Yarn / Recalcitrant Material
(this used to be called Stepchild Yarn Rescuer // Stepchild Material Rescuer)

[X ] In January, I used old or difficult yarn
and am therefore a rescuer of recalcitrant yarn / yarn rescuer.
This yarn had been lying in the box since 2014. Now it is on its way to Australia for the wild animals. It was great to work with, but the colors just really didn’t suit me, and I don’t think the little animals will mind.

Frogging Monster Conqueror in the month of January
[ ] In January, I partly or completely unraveled an unfinished handmade project, or one or more UFOs, and then finished it after all. I am therefore a Frogging Monster Conqueror.
I tried out a new collar. The first attempt turned out super nice and has since been given to my friend. Then I knitted it with two other yarns, but it just wasn’t meant to be. I completely frogged both of them again. :-(  There will be no publication

disziplinierte(-r ) Dranbleiben-KönigIn: hier gibts keine Ufos

I’ve gone through everything once. Congratulations to everyone on a successful January. It’s great that you’ve all worked so hard crafting and donating to help animals. I think that’s fantastic, and it earns you lots of extra karma points.

I’m a little late... we’re already on vacation again :-))))

I’ve been on a yarn diet since December 15. In January, I crocheted the following from leftover yarn:
Snoopy,
2 guardian angels (2 attempts, and the prettier one will be a gift)
1 pirate sword
1 shopping net
I also sewed a pirate costume from fabric scraps. (The sword is being held by the Playmobil pirate in the photo :-)

And then there was also a hat for Anton.

If it’s too late, it’s no big deal
