Rudolph - The Red Nosed Moose is actually an ordinary moose, but at Christmas time he shows up with a red nose :)
If you know that you tend to take a little longer to work through a pattern, you could start now, and you’ll definitely be finished in time.

The floppy animal can be filled with various elements—for example, with rattles, crinkle foil, or little bells , and there’s even room inside for the mechanism for a music box.

   Here’s the pattern

The pattern is suitable for ambitious beginners and I’m happy to answer any questions.

I crocheted it with a cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m/50 g and a size 3 crochet hook . For more info, see here.

Have fun crocheting!

A few ideas for Halloween:

A spooky decoration for Halloween is, of course, a must! If you work with lighting effects, it’s especially impressive!

This great skull lantern is made from an empty jam jar that has been crocheted around with black yarn. You can fill it with candy and bring it as a gift to a Halloween party. Once the candy has been eaten, place an LED light inside and you’ll have a wonderfully spooky lantern!
You can find the pattern here!

The glowing eyes of the little bats are the LED lights of a string of lights. The bats are very quick and easy to crochet. Attached to a string of lights, they make a great window decoration. But they also look great hung up individually or as a mobile.
Here’s the pattern for the bats!

For a children’s Halloween party, you can crochet these cute ghost finger puppets or the little witch as table decorations and give them to the children at the end as a small keepsake. They are quick to crochet and lots of fun!
Here are the two ghosts!

And here’s the pattern for the little witch!

The ghost bookmark is also quick and super easy to crochet, and it makes a great keepsake from the spooky party. On the long dark evenings that follow in winter, you can curl up in bed with a book of scary stories. And if you fall asleep over it, the next day you’ll always know where you left off!
Click here for the bookmark pattern!

 1. Holy Family, ox, donkey, poinsettia

2. Shepherds, sheep, angel of the Annunciation

3. Three Wise Men with their pack animals

Colorful piles of leaves are typical for fall. Nothing special, really, but two super-sweet hedgehogs live in this pile of leaves!

During the day, the two snuggle up cozily in their den, and at night they go in search of tasty snails and really fill their bellies once more before winter comes.

Don’t worry, they don’t prick, because they are crocheted from cotton and sock yarn!
If you’d like to have a cute hedgehog decoration this fall too, all you need are a few cotton and sock yarn scraps and my detailed pattern.

Here’s the pattern and all the details

Start the Advent calendar for the kids now with these cute gnomes. The crowning touch on Christmas Eve is the gnome house. The gnomes can be crocheted in different sizes, and lots of little treats fit inside. The gnome house can then be filled with a larger gift.

It's best to start now. Even beginners with crochet experience will enjoy this.
And another advantage: You can use up lots of leftover yarn for gnomes. ;-)

Here is the crochet pattern for the value set Gnome Family with Gnome House

The gnomes and the house are also available individually.

This poncho made from soft sock yarn is super practical and comfortable. If it gets a little cooler, just slip it on. Your hands stay free, so heat doesn’t build up. By the way, the poncho is also very useful on cool summer evenings and easy to take along. It fits into practically any handbag.

Easy to knit, even for beginners with knitting experience.

This delicate autumn leaf tea light holder is made of leather paper and measures approximately 16 x 19 cm. It’s very easy to recreate and is also ideal for craft beginners who are comfortable using a craft knife.

If you like decorating your windows for Halloween, this haunted house might be just the thing for you.

The window decoration measures approx. 54 x 34.7 cm, is cut from construction paper, and backed with yellow translucent paper. It isn’t difficult to make, but you should definitely be able to handle a scalpel or craft knife well.

This Advent calendar consists of 24 individual containers, and you’ll need some time to make them all. Luckily, you still have plenty of time, so it’s best to start soon and avoid the pre-Christmas rush.

The calendar is made of cardstock, measures approximately 13 x 30 x 15 cm, is very sturdy, and can be reused multiple times. It’s not difficult to make, but precision is absolutely essential.

Are you already thinking about Christmas decorations? With these summery temperatures, probably not. But it doesn’t hurt to at least take a look around and see what’s out there.

You can make this Advent star yourself, for example. It’s mainly made of cardstock and is about 28 cm in diameter. Detailed, illustrated craft instructions will guide you all the way to a magnificent result.

Klemmi the Window Elf

When windows slam shut in the fall or winter, “Klemmi” the Window Elf comes to the rescue!

This little helper not only fits perfectly into the window slot, but also protects the frames from damage caused by hard objects that people usually stick into the slot (like wooden spoons or similar items).
Thanks to the loop on his foot, he can be conveniently hung on the window handle, so he’s always within reach.

If you can’t bring yourself to clip him into the window, here’s a little tip: He also feels right at home on door wreaths, incorporated into window decorations, or on the Christmas tree ;)

I also have something lovely for you for winter: This snowflake mobile brings a wintry atmosphere into your home, whatever the weather.

The chains on this mobile are approximately 42 and 47 cm long respectively; the snowflakes are cut out of craft card, and the pom-poms are store-bought. The mobile is very easy to make and is well suited even for patient beginners.

Who’s hopping so cheerfully into the new year? It’s a lucky piglet—absolutely wonderful! It wants to give everyone good luck, even if it has to strain its arm to do so. The lucky clover is really big and heavy. Some people need less, others more.

Use my pattern to crochet this enchanting lucky piggy and give it as a gift to dear friends or anyone who could use a little luck. With its broad smile and cheeky look, it instantly spreads good cheer.

Squirrel Kiki                          and           Little Hedgehog Ingo
go very well together, because they are both about 14 cm tall. With a few leaves, chestnuts, pine cones, acorns, or other natural materials, they make a wonderful, atmospheric fall decoration.

To crochet them, you will need:

For Squirrel Kiki:

  • Cotton, yardage 125 m / 50 g (e.g. Schachenmayr Catania) in reddish brown (marsala) - about 1/2 skein
  • Leftover cotton in black, dark brown, light brown
  • Fringe yarn, yardage approx. 85 m / 50 g in reddish brown (e.g. Peppina by Lana Grossa) - about 1/2 skein
  • Crochet hook size 2.5
  • Safety eyes or eyes for sewing on (diameter approx. 0.8 cm)
  • Strong black thread
  • 1 thick yarn needle for sewing together
  • 1 sharp needle for embroidering the nose and claws
  • Polyester stuffing for filling
  • possibly 1 Kinder Surprise capsule, sand
For Hedgehog Ingo:
  • approx. 20 g Bohème Velvet by GoHandmade (yardage 190 m / 50 g; color Vintage Curry)
  • approx. 25 g Brazilia by Schachenmayr (yardage 90 m / 50 g; color Camouflage 00123)
  • Leftover black cotton yarn for embroidering the snout and claws
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook
  • Stuffing
  • 2 black half pearls, diameter 10 mm
  • Hot glue or craft glue
(The velvet yarn can also be replaced with a cotton yarn such as Catania.)

Click on the links under the pictures and you’ll get to the patterns!

Do you prefer something a little more fairy-tale-like? Then I recommend the following flower children from my collection as fall decorations:
Flower Child: Toadstool
Flower Child Chestnut
Flower Child Pumpkin
Flower Child Sunflower

To crochet these Flower Children, you’ll only need a few leftover pieces of yarn in the respective colors, some stuffing, and chenille wire. All Flower Children have bendable arms and legs and can be arranged in various poses.
I hope you have fun crocheting!
