Here’s the new thread:
May Projects Part 2 / June Projects.

Dear users, dear authors,
let’s kick off a lovely May with enthusiasm. :- )

UFO Week: May 24 through June 3.
--> Just finish one or more UFOs (=unfinished objects / neglected craft projects) and I’ll honor you for it.
--> I’ve extended UFO Week due to Ascension Day / the holiday / the long weekend.
The awards ceremony will then take place on June 4–5.

All the other title highlights, such as “Wool Empress,” “Shopping Queen,” “Scrap Master,” etc., will of course be back as well.

I wish you all a wonderful May, sunny weather, fun in the park, garden, or on the balcony, enjoyable times crafting, and not too much stress in your daily lives. :- )

Happy May. Let’s get started.

I’m really happy to be back. This time I have two UFOs that are currently on hold. But I want to finish knitting at least one of them in May.

And of course, I’m looking forward to all your projects that I’ll get to admire here. :)

I’m joining in again, too.

Right now I’m struggling with a handbag for the Schlagermove. When it’s finished, it’ll definitely look great. ... If

I’ve already used up two balls of yarn, and I don’t think it looks like much.

For now, I’m going to set it aside and crochet another hand puppet. I still want to make three more. First up is the devil.

But not until tomorrow. I wish you all a good night.

Sandra, that looks really interesting—the start of your bag.
I’m sure it’ll turn out to be another cool piece and that you’ll rock the Schlagermove. :)

I’ll be joining in again, too.

My top has turned into a UFO due to a lack of time. Maybe I’ll manage to finish it this month.

In any case, I’m curious to see your new creations.

Let’s see what I can manage. Except for the mystery shawl, all the shawls are still in progress. But just to be safe, I’ve started another one.

And my new mystery project is being crocheted. I’m guessing it’s a scarf, but I really can’t say for sure yet.

In addition to my blanket, I’m working on a crocheted bag.

A photo will follow soon.

In any case, it’ll end up being another “yarn diet.”

Here is a photo of my crocheted bag.
I’m still at the very beginning. To stiffen the bottom, I put a CD inside.

Wow, Marlene, that’s such a wonderfully brilliant idea, putting the CD in the bottom! Fantastic! I assume it’s a double bottom. I’m already excited to see what the bag looks like when it’s finished. It already looks great.

Ida, I really like the pattern of the top shawl. It’s sure to be lovely when it’s finished.

Petra, I think it’s great that you’re joining in here again. Of course, I’m also looking forward to getting lots of projects finished here again with the “old hands” and being able to admire them.

Happy weekend, everyone!

Yes, Moni, I made the base double-layered.
There are more than enough CDs here.

I also like the shawl at the top, Ida.

I’m already looking forward to seeing your top, Marion.

Ida, you’re already hard at work again—the lace pattern looks great.

Marlene, the double bottom with a CD in the pouch is a great idea.
But how do you handle washing it? You can’t really put it in the washing machine, can you?

My top will have to wait—I’ve just gotten the urge to do some Tunisian crochet again.

Once it’s a bit bigger, I’ll show it to you all.

Thank you all so much.
I don’t think washing the CD will be that difficult. If you don’t need it anymore, you can just toss it in the washing machine. I think I’d be more worried about it breaking.

I think hand-washing is the safe option.

Ida, I was thinking of putting it through the spin cycle too; I just didn’t phrase it properly.

I think it would break then.

I’m joining in again too, even though I was a bit quiet in April. Because of my new job, I have to reorganize things a bit now, since I usually work from 2 or 5 p.m. until 9 or 10 p.m. in the evening. But I was able to finish my poncho sweater in April (it’s drying right now) and have started a crochet shawl with the most unruly yarn I own. The color of the yarn is beautiful, but it’s 5-ply and not so easy to work with using triple double crochet.

This month, I’ve already crocheted a pair of baby shoes.

Right now, I’ve dug out my Tunisian crochet hook again, and this is what I’ve made so far.

Marion, that looks absolutely great. You’ve really been working hard.

I’m starting this month with 3 UFOs—I haven’t had that many in a long time. In the evenings, I’m continuing to knit my shawl; I don’t have to pay as much attention to that. Let’s see when I can finish it.

I definitely want to finish the doll jacket this month. I now have the matching CraSyTrio and can keep knitting on the sleeves.

And the third UFO is my top with the lace pattern. I want to have that finished by the time it gets warm (whenever that may be). ;-)

As soon as I’ve made a bit of progress, I’ll show it to you. In the meantime, I’d love to see what you’ve been working on.

I wish you all a lovely evening and a productive week!

Love, Monika

My sweetheart had a few days off, and we rearranged some furniture and started decluttering at the same time - he’s really gotten into it and is carrying on in the basement now, and wants to sell quite a few things. It’s pretty exhausting, although of course it also feels good when there’s more space and order in the cupboards again.
We’re both collectors, so quite a lot builds up over time.
In between, I crocheted some new “covers” for my beloved felt slippers, which my toes are unfortunately already sticking out of... but they’re still so comfortable that I’d like to preserve them a little longer.

The sock yarn I used has also been lying around here for a while; I had imagined the colour gradient differently and don’t really like it - but for the slippers I think it’s quite OK.
I’m just realising that even when crocheting, it’s time to declutter and use up unloved things... By the way, I’ve already finished the second cover too, it just still needs to be sewn on.
I don’t really like that...

Now that the poncho sweater is finished and the pattern is uploaded, I grabbed one of the two skeins of mohair last night, cast on 40 stitches, and just started knitting in a drop-stitch pattern. I have no idea what it’s going to be, and I don’t know yet how far the two skeins will go, but since I don’t know what to do right now, at least my hands are busy. I had so many ideas during my last project, but I didn’t write them down, and now they’re gone :(

I finished my bag last night:

After several attempts at crocheting, I decided to use an i-cord instead.

Now I’m reworking my double-faced pattern—2 knit, 2 purl.

I haven’t bought any new yarn this time either.
Instead, I made my Ametsuchi shawl and this bag from another shawl that I’d unraveled.

It’s still a bit too chilly for the balcony right now.
Oh well, that may still change.

Marlene, your bag looks really good.
Mel, I’m sure you’ll still come up with something for your new pattern.

I’ve finished my potholder now.
Since I used a thicker cotton yarn than in the original pattern, I couldn’t do the back in Tunisian crochet as well. It would have become too thick.
That gave me the idea of using C2C; it didn’t turn out as thick, and I used a different yarn weight.

I really like how it turned out.

I just have to show you my crocheted spring meadow:

The seasonal table is always decorated with the appropriate flower children depending on the season. Snowdrops and crocuses have already disappeared again, but this month, forget-me-nots and dandelions have joined them. Can you see how the cheeky pussy willow is tickling the dandelion’s nose with the dandelion clock?

Ruth: Those are so cute.

They turned out great, and they’re decorated so beautifully, too.

Marion: That pot holder looks chic.

Marlene: I like the bag, too, and the idea of reinforcing the bottom with a CD is clever. :-)

Mel: I really like the poncho sweater;
I’m curious to see what you’ll make with the mohair yarn.

Claudia: I also think the idea with the covers is really good.

I’m going to keep working on my devil now

Wowww, you guys are so hard at work!! It all looks absolutely fantastic.
I especially love Marlene’s bag and Claudia’s slippers/overshoes.
And Marion’s pot holders, too.
Ruth’s spring meadow—in a league of its own!

I’m currently knitting my shawl in the evenings; I’ll take a picture of it soon.

Today I finally finished writing up another pattern. Now I just have to sort through the photos and maybe take some new ones.

As soon as it gets warmer outside, I’ll keep working on my top, too.

I’m in a similar situation to Mel. My work situation is leaving me with less free time right now. But things will settle back down eventually.

Have a lovely evening, everyone, and have fun with your knitting needles!

Love, Monika

I’ve already missed so much again. Marion, your wolf looks great! It is a wolf, isn’t it? And the pot holder is very nice, too.
Also, I really like the bag, Marlene!
And the spring meadow looks really good.

I finished one of the shawls I started in April.

Ruth, your flower meadow looks great.
Ida, you’ve been busy too—your shawl turned out lovely, with beautiful colors.

There’s a husky on the potholder. It’s a pattern from here (gallery).
I’ve started a second one with a different motif.
Meanwhile, I’m continuing to knit the top.

Now that’s a great idea!
I have a UFO that’s been sitting there for sooo long...!
Since I’m feeling better again, I’m going to tackle finishing it.
It’s
a giant scarf.
Well then: happy knitting???? !

I’m currently knitting my 2 knit, 2 purl doubleface pattern again.
So there will be new product photos for it.

If I feel like it, I’ll continue working on the tablecloth.

Marlene, I’ve noticed that you’re super hardworking. You’ve really gotten a lot done lately. :)

I’m slowly making progress again, too. Today I started on the sleeves of the doll jacket. I really want to finish this UFO before the end of May. Here’s what it looked like this morning:

And my lace top has grown a bit, too. I think I’m already at the armhole level now and need to figure out how to proceed. Here’s what it looks like now:

And my evening project is still the shawl. But that’s coming along nicely, too. The two balls of yarn are almost gone, and then the shawl will be finished. I’ve incorporated different patterns into it, just as I felt like it. Here’s what it looks like now. I can’t lay it out yet because it’s still on the circular needle:

Monika: The doll’s jacket looks really cute again—I’m already really excited to see your top. I like the colors and the pattern. As someone who doesn’t knit, I can’t really picture the shawl. I’m curious to see it.

My devil is finished. I think the face looks a bit like the Sams.

You’re all so hard-working!

Monika, I can’t wait to see how your projects turn out! Working on three things at once would probably make me nervous! Two at a time is manageable, but only if they’re different types of crafts.

Ida, I really like the colors of your shawl. I think I need to make a shawl sometime, too. It’s just that I never wear them...

Sandra, I like your hand puppets! The devil is really cute! But then again, that’s what he’s supposed to be in a puppet show!
I’m currently tinkering with a forklift. (Sandra knows what I mean :-))

It’s unbelievable what’s happened here after just one day.
You’ve already finished or started some great projects again—I really like them all.
I also crocheted a new potholder in Tunisian crochet yesterday.
This is my model—our son’s dog.
And here’s my creation.

I’ve knitted another swatch (11 x 13.5 cm) using the double knitting technique.

Cuffs can also be knitted with it.

Now I’m back to my tablecloth.

Sandra, your devil looks awesome—especially very friendly and funny. ;-)

Ruth, the reason I’m working on three things at once is probably because I needed something in between that didn’t require me to think. And since I’ve had the yarn for the shawl lying around forever, I started it. And it’s actually coming along faster than I thought.

The other two projects were ideas where I had to stop and think in between about how I even wanted to continue them. Now I know. All three projects will probably be finished almost at the same time. Let’s see what I can manage this month.

Marion, that’s awesome! Did you design and crochet the dog yourself, using a model? It looks really great. By the way, the dog is also very cute.

Marlene, you’ve really got me curious about the double-face technique. I don’t have the headspace for it right now, but it’s pretty high on my “things to learn” list.

The weather this weekend (the Ice Saints) is just perfect for crafting, snuggled up in a blanket. ;-)

I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

I learned the double-face technique several years ago—back then it went by a different name (which I’ve forgotten), Moni.
Every now and then, the idea of using it to knit rib patterns would pop into my head.
But then it would slip my mind again.
Until recently, when I thought of it again and tinkered with it until I got it right.

My goodness, you’re creating one amazing piece after another here! You guys are the best!
I scrapped my project and unraveled it (I don’t want to end up with any UFOs). I just don’t like this mohair yarn—it’s too scratchy and fuzzy. The color combo looked nice in the skein, but I don’t like it at all once it’s knitted up... Yesterday I crocheted two bird nests for a charity drive.
I’d also like to make a cover for our Senseo, a bag that fits perfectly in my bike basket, and a summer shawl. We’ll see which one I tackle first.
Today I’m busy with preparations for tomorrow’s confirmation—I still have to finish two cakes, one of them shaped like a book. I hope it turns out well and tastes good, too…
Days like this always make me feel really nervous inside. I’ll be glad when tomorrow is over.

I really like doubleface, too—I even already have a book with patterns. But I still haven’t tried it yet.
Maybe I’ll get around to it someday.

Monika, I didn’t work out my dog pot holder entirely on my own. Petra gave me some help to get started, and then I modified it a bit. But I’m still not completely satisfied with it. I’ll probably try it again later.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, whatever you may have planned.

Your project ideas sound really interesting. I’m already curious to see how you’ll bring them to life.

Marlene, your tablecloth looks really great. I really like the colors, too.

Marion, your dog-shaped pot holders turned out great. Petra is an expert in Tunisian crochet. It’s great that she helped you... I’m really amazed by all the beautiful projects created with Tunisian crochet. To be honest, I prefer knitting.

I finally finished my first UFO today—at last. My little star now has a new outfit: a hooded jacket. Take a look—here’s what it looks like now that it’s finished:

The party was really lovely, and as always, I got way too worked up about it beforehand.
I’ve finished two bird’s nests so far, and the next project is in the starting blocks.
Monika, your little jacket is very pretty
I also think the bag sewn by Wollbaerli is really great! When it comes to sewing, I’m absolutely talentless, but you don’t have to be able to do everything. Marlene, I admire your perseverance with your tablecloth—it already looks very interesting!

Monika, the nests will be donated to a forest zoo; they’ll put them up there so that small wild birds can nest in them. They’ve been doing it this way for quite some time and keep needing more.

Thanks, dear Nadeleule.

I’m amazed at my own perseverance.
To keep myself motivated, I work on smaller projects here and there—more or less—on the side.

Speaking of sewing… Lisa wants me to sew a lining into the skirt of a summer dress.
I’ve already started on that.
Luckily, no one but the two of us will see it later.

Oh Mel, that’s such a lovely idea. I’m picturing it right now—it’s so cute, with little baby birds sitting inside their crocheted home. If we had those here, I’d definitely crochet some too. Birds are my favorite animals.

By the way, my granddaughter has declared one of my knitted dresses her favorite. She’s been wanting to wear it every day for a while now. Cute, isn’t it? It’s the red spaghetti-strap dress. Luckily, it’ll still fit her for a while longer—at least another two years. :) By the way, she’s in preschool now and really loves going to the village preschool.

Ooh, I want to join in again this month.

I’ve already finished two things:
-A little bear (my own pattern)
-A little snail (based on the pattern from Meine-bunte-Haekelwelt)
Both are for a baby mobile featuring various forest animals... I finished the other animals a while ago :)

I hope I don’t forget to take some quick pictures later... Because I’ll be handing them over later.

Oh yes, Tina, those two are absolutely adorable! :)

Unfortunately, I had to unravel my work this morning. I didn’t like the top part of my top at all. Oh well, I’ll just start over, and now it will fit.

By the way, sitting next to me is a sweet pair of teddy twins who absolutely want something to wear. They’re each getting a pretty jumpsuit. Yes, I actually have two of this teddy bear — it’s "Knopf" from St... One of them only came to me quite recently.

I wish you all a lovely day! And if you’re not feeling so well right now, keep your chin up, it’ll get better. Get well soon in that case.

Wow, you’ve already posted so many beautiful new pieces...

Marlene, I think your bag is especially lovely...
Though the devil, the pot holders, etc. ... I actually like everything...
I also really like the idea with the nests.

Here’s my latest news - all made from that sock yarn with the not-quite-so-pretty color gradient, which was actually supposed to become a shoulder warmer and I didn’t especially like it that way. I still have more of it, but at least 200 g have been used up now 😉

My finished slipper covers

A shopping bag

Espadrilles (is that how it’s spelled?) - I bought them at a market without trying them on, but unfortunately they didn’t fit - so now I’ve added a custom-fitted cover to the soles. Let’s see whether that works in everyday use...

The yarn, with its very short color run, just didn’t work for the planned project—it almost looked like camouflage....
But I actually think it turned out pretty well this way.

Yes, that’s right. I’m going to buy some fabric and a zipper soon. I’ll sew when my husband is away again.

I’m not quite sure yet how I’ll go about it. We’ll see.

Now I’m starting on a forklift, and my on-the-go project is a jacket for Anton

I’d like to bump this thread back up so it doesn’t get forgotten…

You’ve all conjured up such beautiful things again… great warm slippers… and bags. Awesome!

I’m a bit busier offline right now since I have a dear friend visiting. I’ve set aside some extra time for that so we can do things together. She did have one request, though: a tissue box cover—the big one—in her favorite colors. Plus some matching granny squares.

So I’ve put my top aside for now and will keep knitting it after she leaves. I’ve already gotten pretty far with it anyway. Here’s what it looks like now:

And I also crocheted two coasters to go with my flower meadow:

Thanks, Mel and Marion, for your feedback! :)

Marion, I think your gift turned out absolutely fantastic! It’s sure to bring a lot of joy.

I’m currently working on the TaTü box and it should be finished tomorrow. My friend is already looking forward to it. After that, I’ll start on the matching granny squares, which will become coasters.

She’s leaving again next Wednesday, and I want to have everything finished for her by then. After that, I’ll get back to my top.

Well, now I’m going to continue celebrating a birthday with my husband. Things are pretty hectic right now...

Marion and Mel: What’s a “Crafter Granny”? As far as I can tell, she has some pins ready…

Exactly! This is a (crocheted or sewn) granny where you can store your craft/sewing supplies.

Yes, exactly! My grandma also keeps my crochet hooks, measuring tape, Crasy Trios, etc. in her apron, ready to hand.

Are you ready?
How are your UFOs coming along?

Mel, your grandma is so cute, too! I want one too... :-)

I’ve already finished one UFO this month. I’ll have to carry the other two over into June, since I probably won’t be able to finish them. But at least one is better than none. ;-)

Yeah, Mel, I like your grandma, too.
Luckily, I found the photo in the gallery. I couldn’t remember who the pattern was from, but I really wanted to give one to my sister next week.
Good thing it worked out.

The way things look, I might actually be able to finish a UFO this month. I should be able to finish the sweater by next week.

I should check in again too. It’s great to see everything that’s being shared here.
Mel: I think the grandma is great too. When I have some time, I’d like to crochet one myself, because my little odds and ends are always lying around somewhere.
Monika, you’re already pretty far along with that top. I’m curious to see what it looks like when it’s finished.

I’m currently crocheting a beach bag for our beach vacation. I hope the weather’s nice enough this weekend so I can work outside.
While the weather’s been bad, I’ve rediscovered embroidery. To match my ladybug egg cozies, I’ve embroidered two placemats with ladybugs:

Ruth, your set looks great—did you use a pattern?

I’m not really into embroidery, but I admire you for being so good at it.

Ruth: The set is really beautiful. I used to do a lot of embroidery too. But I don’t feel like it at the moment.

I’ve got something else to show too:
The forklift is meant to go on a door wreath. It’s a gift for a first birthday. The parents work with forklifts.
I’m not sure yet exactly how I’ll design the door wreath. But the birthday isn’t until December anyway

You two have conjured up some amazing things again, Ruth and Sandra. I really love everything.

I’ve now finished the TaTü box for my friend, and she’s thrilled with it. Tomorrow I’ll take a photo and show it to you here.

I’m still totally blown away!! I just got the news about the birth of my granddaughter. She was born last night at 1:15 a.m. and her name is Luna.

It’s such a wonderful feeling! I’m sure all the grandmas here can relate...

Now I just need to really let it sink in and celebrate. :)

Monika, that’s great news! Congratulations!

I just admired your latest creations—they’re absolutely fantastic! I’m suffering from a creative slump right now, and I just can’t seem to come up with any ideas.

Grandma Monika, warm congratulations from me, too.
You’ve been quite busy lately.

I think the forklift is brilliant, and I’m sure you’ll come up with a way to present it by December.

Ruth, I think your embroidery is very pretty—mine just never turns out neat; I admire everyone who can do it well.

Marion, I really like your “crafting grandma” too.

By the way, I have a UFO that’s still waiting to be finished—I have to unpick and re-embroider a doll’s face. But I’m doing a great job of ignoring that right now.

I did manage to finish a felt bag and a toilet paper roll hat, though.

By the way, this is Mia.
I named her that because I think my mom would have really liked her... I just love crocheting with felting wool.

This toilet paper roll hat is my tribute to Holland, because I just really like the country. I like toilet paper roll hats, too, by the way...

Right now, there’s sooo much going on here in real life that I’m keeping a low profile online... but I still make time for crocheting—I need it.

Monika, I’d also like to offer my heartfelt congratulations on your second granddaughter.

Sandra, the forklift is very nice—I’m sure you’ll come up with just the right thing for your wreath.
Claudia, your two pieces turned out lovely, too.

Oh, Monika, how wonderful! Congratulations! I hope you’ll be able to hold your Luna in your arms very soon. By the way, I think Luna is a beautiful name.

Sandra, your forklift turned out great! I really like it in red, too!

Claudia, the toilet roll cover is brilliant! It looks like Delft porcelain.
How do you actually calculate the finished size when you’re working with felting wool? Or do you just wait and see?

Mel, sometimes you just need a creative break. Then the ideas start bubbling up again so fast that you can’t even keep up.

Ruth, I calculate roughly a third of the desired size; with a bag, it doesn’t have to be exact to the centimeter, so that works quite well for planning the approximate size.

Those Delft figurines were also the inspiration for the toilet roll cover. I always see them everywhere when we’re traveling in Holland.
Thanks for the kind words.

Is there a title for

“I restart the same pattern five times, only to decide on a completely different pattern on the sixth try”?

My lace shawl is exactly that kind of case.

Dear friends, thank you so much for your congratulations and for sharing in my joy. Now I just can’t help but show her to you. By the way, the little one’s name is Juna (not Luna). I don’t know the meaning yet, but it sounds very beautiful. Here’s the first photo—she’s just a few hours old.

And I’ve now finished the tissue box cover for my friend, along with a matching coaster. She’s absolutely thrilled with it. Five more coasters are still to come.

Claudia, your toilet roll and your bag are absolutely fantastic. I think they’re real works of art.

Juna is also a very pretty name! Could it be a variation of “Juno,” the Roman goddess and wife of Jupiter?

Monika, your Juna is sooooo cute!!!!
I really like your tissue box, the colors are really beautiful.

I'll show you my finished grandma again; I've added pockets.

I’m just admiring your amazing creations!

Monika in these colors, your tissue box looks completely different—I really love it. Congratulations on your second granddaughter.

Marion I already admired your grandma in the gallery, a great idea that’s sure to go down well as a birthday gift.

Claudia I don’t usually like decorative toilet roll covers, but the one with the Dutch windmill is very decorative.

Sorry if I don’t mention every single piece individually, there are so many wonderful things that I’ve limited myself to the latest ones; each of your creations has turned out wonderfully in its own way.

Monika: “Juna” could also come from the Celtic “jun” = “wish” and mean “the desired one.” Nice, isn’t it?

Monika, congratulations from me, too. Juna is definitely a unique and (in my opinion) very beautiful name. I wish you many happy hours and experiences together.
Warm regards

Oh, you’re so sweet to be so happy for me. I just Googled “Juna name” and found quite a bit—for example, that the name is derived from the Roman goddess of birth, marriage, and care. Translated from Latin, it means “to bloom, the one who blooms.” And what surprises me is that in 2015, it was one of the 100 most popular first names.
I also like the TaTüBox in these colors—I wouldn’t have guessed that beforehand. Now I’ve got my fifth coaster on the hook and want to have six finished by tomorrow. It’s nice that I can give my friend a gift she’ll really be happy about for once.

Marion and Mel, I think your needle grannies are really original. I think I’ll crochet one of those for myself someday, too.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I’d like to thank you all so much for the lovely congratulations. It’s really wonderful here when so many people share in the joy. :-)

Christina, “the desired one,” is also beautiful and fits perfectly. Just like Linja, she’s an absolutely much-wanted child.

I’ve also finally finished something—it’s Grandpa Heinrich, a 70th birthday gift for my dad, for when we get the whole family together in the middle of the year to combine my parents’ birthdays and have a big celebration. I’ll be starting on Grandma soon, but first I need to find the right yarn.

Yay, I actually finished my second UFO last night.
My shawl in a mix of patterns is done. I just need to block it. Here’s what it looks like now.

Yes, and yesterday I also gave my friend 6 matching coasters to go with the TaTüBox. Here’s what they look like:

I’m taking my top with me as a UFO into June. Then I’m sure I’ll finish it.

I like your mixed-pattern shawl, Moni.

No UFO will be finished this month.
Instead, I’ve added a crochet chart to a pattern.

My sweater is almost done; I just need to weave in the ends and finish the neckline.

Thanks, Marlene and Marion! :) Yeah, I like it too.

And I’ve already gotten my next commission from my friend. She wants a second tissue box for the bathroom. She’s sending me a photo of the bathroom so I can choose colors that match.
Now I just hope I don’t have to buy any yarn for it. After all, I want to keep working my way through my yarn stash.

As soon as I finish my top, I’ll think about which bigger project to start. Sitting in the evening or in the garden without my knitting needles—that’s just not possible. It makes me feel like I’m going through withdrawal... ;-)

Monika, your shawl and the coasters turned out really pretty. I hope I can finish my cat basket today—I’d rather not carry it over into June. But since I have to go to work this afternoon, I’m not sure if I’ll actually manage it....
