Dear users, dear authors,
how was your weekend?
Are you doing well?
How’s the weather?
What are your plans for this week?
What crafting goals do you want to achieve?
What’s for lunch?
Tell me all about it.
I wish you a fantastic and successful week in every way.
It keeps raining on and off, and I really need to tend to the front yard and the garden.
For lunch today, I’m having pan-fried potatoes with a fried egg.
Craft goals: My blanket—I’m not starting anything new right now because I want to finish this one first.
I just got home from work and am already enjoying a cup of coffee. The weather’s been mixed—it’s finally stopped raining (everything’s already flooded around here)—and the temperatures are pleasant.
We’re having pasta salad for lunch, and at 6:00 p.m., classes start again for us evening students; after that, I’m heading to a café with my classmates for coffee.
My craft projects will be: finishing my summer pants and my rose-colored tunic—we’ll see if I can squeeze in anything else besides work and studying.
the weekend was good. We celebrated my oldest
daughter’s 12th birthday. The kids’ birthday party is next Saturday.
The weather is nice. The sun is shining right now.
For lunch we just had sandwiches; tonight we’re having curry meatballs
with pasta salad.
Since my husband is taking the kids on a bike ride and I’m still at the office
, I’ll do some laundry later and keep crocheting on my vest.
Today I’ll finish the first sleeve and maybe even start the
second one. I’d like to wear my vest by the weekend.
After that, I’ll start a soul warmer, and I’m already thinking
about Christmas projects.
I feel like I spent the whole weekend in the kitchen—our huge amounts of apples and pears have once again been turned into fruit purée, juice, dried fruit, jelly, and cake.
I skipped lunch today since I had a late breakfast. Instead, I just treated myself to a slice of apple cake with a cappuccino.
This week, I’ve decided to weave in the ends on the shawls and scarves I finished crocheting over the summer, block them, and then—weather permitting—take pictures of them in the garden. —And there are still quite a few apples, pears, and plums waiting to be turned into something...
It had stopped raining, but there was no sign of more than two timid rays of sunshine…
Today’s lunch consisted of leftovers: rice and the ground meat filling from the zucchini (we had that yesterday), along with steamed tomatoes, bean salad (the last from the garden, already pretty tough!), and oak leaf lettuce.
Today I need to finish the knitted baby sneakers I cast on last night, then I want to continue knitting the little bathrobe and finally tackle the granny-style children’s poncho (a commission).
I was short on time again in every way, since all the elders are really struggling and I also had to work even more. All the nicer: a whole week off! My day started with knitting needles before my coffee cup (my favorite way to start the day). At noon, we visited my mother-in-law at rehab, then strolled through Essen, and after that had a deliiicious dinner at a vegetarian restaurant. It felt so good to just amble through the day....
Today it was very overcast with showers here in the Bergisches Land. If it’s brighter tomorrow, I’ll retake a few photos and replace them. And knit.
