I’m currently working on a pair of crocheted summer pants. I only have six more rounds left on one pant leg, then I’ll be done. After that, I’ll start on a doll for my mom (pattern from CP) for Mother’s Day.
As always, I have quite a few projects going on at the same time—both on my needles and on my keyboard.
I’m currently designing a new scarf, tinkering with an amigurumi, trying out some summer decorations, and I just finished the pattern for my table runner; more patterns are in the works—and that’s definitely not all :-)
I’m currently crocheting a bikini top—or rather, a bustier—for my daughter. I’ll be finished with it by tomorrow at the latest.
I also started a soul warmer for my mom back in April. Well, “started” is a bit of a stretch—it’s almost done, since my mom is pretty petite ;-) . Now I just have to crochet around the edges and work in an elastic band. What tension should I use for that? I downloaded
both patterns and started right away using yarn I already had on hand—but not any “stepchild” yarn ;-) so there’s no title in it for me.
However, a Tunisian crochet hook is on its way to me, so I’ll be giving that a try soon, too. I’m also going to make a shirt using one of my oldest patterns, with yarn that’s already sitting in my closet, ready for just this project.
I’m currently typing up a new pattern on my computer. At the same time, I’ve been hit with the crafting bug after seeing such cute little lanterns and fairy houses on YouTube. Spring is inspiring me to make a little fairy house for the balcony. So I’m switching back and forth between my word processor and my hot glue gun, depending on what I have time for right now :-)
I also have an idea for a hat floating around in my head… I’m not sure yet how I’ll bring it to life.
Yesterday I started on my oldest neglected project (the first CP pattern I ever bought) and now I have to work up the courage to assemble the tiny pieces into a dragon. I bought some yarn at our local yarn shop for a little stuffed animal and was just about to cast on when I got an invitation for Monday night—so now I need a little something to bring along, and I’m crocheting a little tissue pouch. Plus, I really need another simple project to work on while I’m out and about—maybe a pair of socks...
I’m crocheting my dress for the Schlagermove out of scraps, leftover yarn, unraveled yarn, and yarn I’m trying to use up. So far, I’ve used 12 colors, 3 of which are already completely gone.
I’ve now reached the waist and realized that I must have made a mistake at the beginning—it’s huge around the top. I improvised… now it looks like a ruffled Carmen top… brilliant… Much better than the original. :-)
I’m really curious to see how it’ll look when it’s finished.
I had to squeeze in another project—my son wanted a unicorn for an acquaintance, and I’m almost done with it. Just one more leg, the mane, and the tail to go, and it’ll be finished by next week before my vacation. It crocheted up relatively quickly—a whole 4 days (from the leg to the horn, about 40 cm). I usually work on smaller figures, but I need
to use up my nice Catania yarn too—there are a few scattered balls of different colors lying around. Unfortunately, it’s not suitable for large projects unless I crochet everything multicolored.
