Chickens can flutter too,
these are super easy to knit, so even beginner knitters can conjure up
a whole flock of chickens!

< here is the knitting pattern

They can also be knitted from somewhat larger leftover yarn; for the comb and the
beak you’ll need small scraps of potholder yarn.

They are knitted with knit and purl stitches.

The crochet parts use chain stitches, single crochet, and double crochet-

Strictly speaking, you “ride” in a hot air balloon, but the mouse says she “flies.” From up above, she can outsmart the cats on the ground!
The mouse in the hot air balloon is a varied crochet project and a wonderful decoration for a child’s room. It looks especially decorative by the window. The mouse sits loosely in the basket, so she can also get out to play sometimes.
You need 50 g of each color (natural, gray, mint), plus a Styrofoam ball (15 cm), stuffing, and safety eyes.

When the dragon spreads its wings, it can fly and carry you anywhere in your imagination. An exciting book will help it along. The “Dragon” bookmark is especially popular with fantasy fans. It is crocheted from thin cotton yarn (scraps are enough) and is much easier than it looks.

These fluttering bats with their glowing eyes will feel right at home in your window, especially in late October. This Halloween decoration is very easy to crochet. You can hang the bats on a string of lights or make a mobile out of them. You’ll only need a little black cotton yarn to crochet them. Get the pattern here!

You can make a beautiful mobile for a child's room even with small airplanes. Or how about a cute keychain? The airplane is crocheted in no time. The pattern is also suitable for crochet beginners. A wonderful project for using up small amounts of leftover yarn.

Pips looks out at the world through his big, round eyes. He’s a shy little snowbird who observes everything very closely.

Once finished, Pips will be about 22 cm tall (when using the specified hook size and yarn weight). You’ll receive a detailed 14-page pattern with plenty of photos to help you follow along.
Also suitable for ambitious beginners

Required skills:

The pattern does not include a beginner’s tutorial. You should already know how to crochet single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet, as well as chain and slip stitches.

You’ll also need:
  • Yarn, hook size 7–8 (170 m/100 g) “Shetland” by Gründl—in white (1 skein of 100 g)
  • Also, cotton yarn, hook size 4 (110 m/50 g) in white, black, aquamarine, and mint (scraps are sufficient).
  • White fringe yarn (e.g., Brazilia by Schachenmayr)

Who wouldn’t want to escape this wet, cold everyday gray right now? So grab your leftover yarn and crochet yourself this funny and colorful bird of paradise.
Pino is a totally crazy leftover-yarn eater and will be approx. 32 cm tall when finished (when using the specified hook size and yarn weight).

The little witch flies through the air like the wind on her broom. The finger puppet is a friendly witch you don’t have to be afraid of. To mark the film adaptation of the book by Otfried Preußler, this might be a fun way to package a movie ticket. Or would the kids rather play Bibi Blocksberg?
You can crochet the finger puppet very quickly using a few leftover yarn scraps. Click here to download the pattern!

Everyone needs a little guardian angel like this! This little angel can be crocheted in no time from just a little leftover yarn—even by beginners! If you crochet several of them at once and equip them with instruments, you’ll have a whole heavenly orchestra

This little chef owl is the perfect little gift for all home cooks and owl fans! Under the keyring's apron, there is a small pocket for a shopping trolley token that closes with a zipper. That way, you'll always have your token with you when you shop.
Gather up some leftover yarn and crochet this cute owl right away!

This owl may have wings, but it stays nicely hanging on the door because it has an important job. It shows exactly whether someone is allowed to come in or not.

Children especially get a lot of joy from it, because they sometimes like to be undisturbed too. The guardian owl is also great to use on the toilet or bathroom door.

It’s very easy to crochet, even for beginners with basic skills. Leftover yarn is enough for this. How about a gift like this for the family at Easter?

Pünktchen and Anton are the very best friends ever.
These two cute, decorative mini owls make great decorations, good-luck charms, cuddly toys, or bag charms.

The pattern is detailed and richly illustrated, so even beginners can achieve great results. When finished, the owls measure about 10 cm (using the specified yarn weight and hook size).

You should be familiar with single crochet, increases and decreases, as well as chain stitches and slip stitches.

Materials needed:
  • Fluffy yarn, 90 m / 50 g; in this case, I used Finja (with mohair) by Wollbutt in the colors natural and blue (1 skein each of 50 g).
  • Cotton yarn, 170 m per 50 g, in natural and light gray (a scrap is sufficient)
  • Crochet hooks sizes 5 and 2.5
  • 4 safety eyes, size 16 mm
  • Threading needle, darning needle, and stuffing

Hard to believe, but the first butterflies are already out and about, despite the cold. To keep the joy of spring from fluttering away even on wintry cold days, why not add a few colorful butterflies to your windows.

These butterflies are made from photo cardstock and transparent paper, measure approx. 27.3 x 14.5 cm, and are easy for beginners to make, though you should have a little practice using a craft knife.
